I just moved to Southern California and…read moredid quite a bit of research on which nail salon to try, and I am SO thankful that all of the positive reviews led me to Village Nails and Spa. I truly think I found my new go-to spot on my very first try! From the moment you walk in, the staff is so sweet, welcoming, and kind. The whole atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and I never felt rushed or overwhelmed. I especially appreciated that once I was in my chair, they gave me a laminated sheet with all of the options and upgrades to look through while they started with a simple pedicure. I can get overwhelmed when options are presented verbally really quickly, so having everything written out gave me time to process and choose what I actually wanted without feeling pressured. Such a thoughtful touch! The woman who did my pedicure was incredibly detail-oriented. I had gel on my toes from a previous salon, and she removed it with so much care. If you know what a "ring of fire" is, you know how important this is -- she was extremely gentle and careful with my natural nails, which I really appreciated. Alex was working next to me on another client's manicure and kept checking in on me throughout my appointment in the sweetest way. Everyone was genuinely so kind and attentive. Another thing I was SO excited to discover was their color selection! I've been wanting to try some of the DND colors I've seen all over TikTok, especially the light pink shades like DND 601. At other salons, I could never find the exact DND brand or color number I wanted, so I had gotten used to choosing similar look-alike shades. When I came here and saw that they actually had the exact colors I've been wanting to try, it was such a fun find! They have so many options to choose from. Such a lovely salon, and I already know I'll be coming back! I honestly thought it would take me a few salon trials to find my new favorite spot after moving, but it only took one. I also loved how easy it was to book online and how clearly all of the pricing is listed. 5 stars without a doubt -- thank you, Village Nails and Spa!

I tried one other nail salon in town with lackluster results (the gel polish came off within a few days and the nail techs kept pushing more services...), so I wanted to do more research on a good place. After researching for some time, the best reviews came from this particular location -- the next day around noon (Thursday), I decided to call and see if I could walk in, and the gentleman on the phone encouraged me to come on right over! When I walked in, I was greeted by the friendliest staff and the biggest hello from Alex! I was seated immediately on one of the most comfortable massage chairs, and I was in and out of there in 30 minutes with the best service (which is the fastest and most efficient nail experience I've ever had!). I got a gel manicure and a gel pedicure -- and I was treated so well, and I felt so pampered!! There were so many colors to choose from, and the nail technicians helped me out. Alex said that they've been there for 5 years, and the other client sitting next to me also said she's been a loyal customer since the start of their opening. I saw Alex greet people by name and go around to make sure everyone was comfortable. The place was so clean, smelled great (no weird nail salon smells!), & I am so happy with the results, and I will definitely be a repeat client!

They claimed it was a "misunderstanding". The technician also tried to use a different color than the one I picked. The manicure itself was really messy. There was gel all over my cuticles and skin, cuticles were not trimmed properly and the application was uneven and just not what I expected from a professional manicure. I have been coming to this salon for years, which makes this experience even more disappointing…read more I want to start by saying that all of the staff here have always been kind, welcoming, and friendly. My experience has never been with them. Unfortunately, the owner is the exception, and this experience completely changed my opinion of the salon. I called at 10:00 a.m. to schedule a simple manicure and pedicure for myself and my 6-year-old daughter for 1:00 p.m. When we arrived, the owner immediately insisted that I had never called. I calmly showed him my call log proving that I had called that morning. Instead of admitting the mistake or apologizing, he became visibly angry. Rather than simply fixing the situation, he had customers getting pedicures moved around while they were waiting for their nails to dry, creating unnecessary chaos throughout the salon. What made the experience even worse was that he repeatedly spoke to the staff in another language while everyone kept looking at me. I don't know exactly what was being said, but it was obvious I was the topic of conversation. I told him that it was making me feel uncomfortable, yet the staff simply smiled and continued. I felt embarrassed, singled out, and completely disrespected in front of a room full of people. The issue was never that a mistake happened. Mistakes happen. The problem was the complete lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic customer service. A simple apology would have gone a long way. Instead, I was made to feel like I had done something wrong when I had proof that I hadn't. No customer should ever be treated this way, especially in front of their child. After years of being a loyal customer, I will not be returning because of the owner's behavior. It's unfortunate, because the rest of the staff have always been wonderful. I hope the owner takes this seriously because no one deserves to be humiliated for a mistake the salon made.
