Helen does a great job with my pink and white fills. When she isn't busy, she takes the appropriate time needed for a good fill and the results are pretty great. When she is busy though, she rushes and it shows in her work. This salon is understaffed and it's hurting her business. The woman that does the pedicures (I can't remember her name) is fantastic. She does an amazing job. Helen is very sweet and welcoming and I'd love to give her more than 3 stars. I think her business would benefit greatly if she hired a couple more people so she didn't have to rush when she had a few customers waiting. read more

Found this Nail oasis one Saturday a few weeks ago. The owner, Helen, is a gifted technician, friendly woman, and wonderful business woman. Her staff is extremely talented, warm, friendly and personable. Today Helen made my nails beautiful, while Bi (pronounced bee) took care of my tired feet. The results were nothing short of amazing. If you are in the area, and have the time, I highly recommend this nail salon. They offer many nail services, select waxing services, and a friendly smile. I used to go to her years ago when my nail guy was on vacation and she made my nails look great! I had to go back recently because my usual salon was closed and I needed to find someone, I was happy to see she was still in business. I'm regretting that now, my nails have NEVER looked so bad EVER. They are so misshaped and uneven it's embarrassing, she asks what YOU want and then does what SHE wants! I just had my eyebrows waxed here, and the waxed either burned or ripped my skin under my left eyebrow and also in between my eyebrows. When I brought this to their attention, the lady just put Neosporin on it. When I asked if it will scab, the lady responded, "maybe for two days". I asked if it was from the wax being too hot because it did feel a little hotter than usual, but they said it's from my skin being too thin, though, this has never happened to me before. What upsets me is that I didn't even get an apology, and the lady made it seem like it was my fault for my skin being too thin. I have been going to Nails by Helen for 7 years now. Before that I moved around. Helen is the best manicurist I have ever had. She truly cares about her clients and her work. Her salon is meticulous. Her spa chairs are newer and wonderful. She welcomes new clients and makes them permanent. That's what happened to me. I have observed her salon and all her clients love her! My suggestion, DO NOT go there if you are a new customer! I am sure Helen provides excellent service to her loyal customers, however as a new one, you might not get the excellent service everyone talks about. I came in and while getting a pedicure, one of her regulars (who Helen had not seen for a month and was not expecting, based on her own comment when she walked in) came in. This was my second visit and had asked for a fill as well as a pedicure when I came in. Once the pedicure lady finished my pedicure, Helen came up to me and asked me if I could come back the next day so she could do the customer who had just walked in, when I told her I couldn't come in the next day she asked me to wait till she was done with her nails. I explained I couldn't and she got upset and said well, she has an appointment. As I mentioned, she had just said she was not expecting her! I paid for my pedicure, thanked her and left. read more

I love Helen nails!!! Best manicure and pedicure around.

My mother went here once for a pedicure and the results were less than satisfactory. As they were prepping her feet for the polish they used a cream which turned her feet red and made them start to peel. We knew it wasn't an allergic reaction as my mother is not allergic to anything. The people working there did not try to fix the problem and asked to take pictures of her feet and then were upset when we did not tip them. read more

I've been nail spa hopping for a while now. I popped into Helen's recently and her little salon is a perfect fit for me. The location is great and no issues with parking in this center, which is a plus. This is a low key, simple and cozy salon. Not a humongous room with chattering women and screaming manicurists. Nice music plays softly in the background, gentle voices, and Nancy says she prefers her salon that way. There are two very clean and inviting sofas with a large coffee table full of current magazines, very neatly ordered. A large bowl of really good chocolates. While I was there, one customer commented she was hungry, and Nancy got up and offered her a new unopened package of seaweed to snack on, and she offered all of us a package of own own. It caught me off guard..how sweet and generous of her. I'm so used to really 'thrifty' nail salons, this generosity was a surprise. My daughter was at the nearby tutoring place and they welcomed her to come and hang out on that comfy sofa while I finished up my perfect pedicure and buffed nail manicure. I'm sold, this is exactly what I was looking for. A friendly low key spot where they know my name. read more

I suggest, for those who write reviews about ancillary services like waxing, maybe you should see a dermatologist or an esthetician at a salon for better skin care. I was getting a manicure and pedicure when my phone rang, and it was a client wanting to meet me within the hour. I didn't think I would be "done" by then so said I would have to reschedule my client for another day. The manicurist said to me, "I will get another person to help me with your feet, so you can make your appointment. The two of them worked quickly and efficiently, not forgoing a foot and hand massage, but still said, "Next time you come we will give you a longer massage." I thought they were friendly, and my feet and hands looked terrific, and i was able to make my appointment. read more
