Paid $100 for gel polish (mani and pedi). Polish peeled within 4 days. My sisters started peeling the next day (also spent $100). We went out of town or I would have went back and requested a refund. We moved to Temple and I have been looking for a decent nail place. I walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and the place was empty. That should have been my first clue. My nails didn't last a week before they started lifting and turning yellow. This is the same type of nails, very short pink and white acrylic, that I have had done for the last 10 years at other salons and never had this issue. I will not be back. :( read more

Terrible, very overpriced and was charged more than what I was told. It's close to home so that's why I tried it but I won't be back sadly.

To begin with, let me get the one GOOD thing about this place on record. That would be Yasmine. That girl works so hard! She's sweet and polite and I honestly can't believe she's stayed there for over three years. I always tip well and recently I asked her if she had been receiving my tips. I noticed that occasionally, she will leave before I've paid my bill and I just wanted to make SURE she was being properly compensated. To my surprise, she didn't know whether or not she had been getting my gratuity! Up until a few months ago, the Deluxe Spa Pedicure was $28.00, so I always rounded it up to $40 because I know she depends on those tips! In our discussion, I just decided that I would bring cash and give it to her in the future, just to make sure. There were a few times that I forgot, so once I filled out my pay slip, I would take it over to her (in front of the owners because my gut was telling me she was getting shafted) and showed her how much I left so she wouldn't get screwed. They have since gone up to $35 dollars now, so I round it up to $45. Now for the BAD parts. It seems like EVERY TIME I GO IN THERE, there is a problem! For months, even though I had been vaccinated AND had natural immunity from getting Covid, I was forced to wear a mask. Helen made a huge deal out of it, even with me showing her my paperwork and a doctors note stating that it was detrimental to my health to wear one. Yasmine and I compromised once I got in the chair and I was able to pull it just below my nostrils so I wouldn't suffocate! I kept saying I wasn't going back but because of their location and Yasmine, I just tried to tough it out. Several times I was ushered out the door with wet toenails, only to have the paint get messed up while I was getting in my car. And believe me.....I have OCD so I am extremely careful! But to go back in and argue with these folks was an exercise in futility. I also noticed that each time the polish was removed, my nail beds were white and discolored and they were beginning to get thick. Andy insisted this was because I wore dark polish but due to this discoloration, I could never get a French pedicure. I even let them grow out and stopped going for several months to test out his theory but as soon as the remaining polish came off, the discoloration was still there. Uggg! There were also two times that Andy did my pedicure and he cut me. We had to get the bleeding stopped before he could finish! He never said he was sorry or anything! He just kept glancing up at me sheepishly. AND...he made me pay full price! I guess I should take responsibility for that because I should have walked right out the door! When he cut me, I jumped and whimpered loudly. So the other ladies in the salon and I just kept looking at each other awkwardly for the remainder of the session. I could go on and on with the stories. The last straw was this past Wednesday, July 14th, 2022. I never make an appointment because my schedule is crazy, so I am a walk-in and I don't mind waiting. I've waited up to an hour or more before and it's no big deal, as long as I'm not pressed for anything. On Wednesday, I walked in at 10:45. I asked for Yasmine and Andy said she had the next two days off. The place was empty, except for one lady sitting in Helen's chair, getting a manicure. I began to put my name in the computer and Andy says, "Oh no. We can't see you now. We have appointment coming in at 1:30. You make appointment." I looked around and thought, 'Wait....there's NOBODY IN HERE....it's 10:45 am, and you can't do a pedicure in the span of two and a half hours??? Seriously?' I said, 'Well, I have to be in court tomorrow morning and I've got tons of errands to run, are you sure you can't fit me in?' He responded with, 'No. Sorry.' That's when I reached my end! I simply said, "Okay fine. But I won't be back. It seems like every time I come in here, there's a problem." Andy's response: "Ok." And that was it. No compromise. No suggestions. No, sure, I think we can fit you in. Nothing. So I hauled myself to another salon where, not only was it cheaper but they fixed the discoloration on my toes as well. So goodbye Helen and Andy! You lost a customer that has been coming there for almost 4 years because of all of the above. EDIT: As of this visit, they no longer have the sign up about masks. read more

They did a horrible job on my 17 year old daughter's nails. They took advantage of her. She told them that she was disappointed because they look horrible. They lady told her nothing was wrong with them. They charged her 60.00 for this!! She asked them to repaint them and they said it would be 30 more dollars! Yasmine is amazing and I wish I could same the same about the owners. Andy did my nails and within 1 week 80% of my nails were lifting from the sides and I was out of town when I tried to call them. I never received a call back and when I called again the gentlemen told me that if I wanted to pay for another set but that he will not do anything. I tried to explain that this is not normal for 80% of my nails are coming off and lifting he then stated I can pay for a new set and he will do nothing to guarantee what was done and hung up on me. The time before this Andy filed so much off the bed of my nails that it started to bleed and was dark red for a month. read more

This nail salon right here is rude, and disrespectful asl. I am giving it zero stars because they are racists hell. THEY DO NOT CLEAN THERE TOOLS AT ALL. The bathroom of that place has a dry wall and fungus. Apparently, those pictures on google are trash. I have been to better salons that know how to slay nails more correctly than this salon. Who would want to go to a salon that don't clean their equipment and treat their employees like trash by rushing them, talking down on them, and making them feel uncomfortable about there race. To me, personally, it is unhealthy as hell of what they are doing, and they need to be interviewed and shut down for health violations. read more

I went to do my nails there last week because they're one of the only places in the Dallas area that do ombre nails. I got a full set of the pink and white ombre for $50. Very reasonable price and 4 days later and they still look Amazing. I got them done by the head of the salon. It took about an hour (very quick IMO) and they look amazing. My mom loves it and is going there for her next nail appo. I would definitely recommend this place, just make sure you ask for the owner and make an appointment with her, as she is often busy. read more

I've gone twice and both experiences were nice. I saw this spot just passing by. I saw the Grand Opening sign and thought I'd give them a try. One of the staff informed me they've been there for 2 years, but haven't taken the sign down. It got my attention. I walked in and the place is pretty clean. The staff is very attentive and friendly. I love the fact they use liners in the pedicure chairs to protect your feet from fungus and germs. The work is pretty good as well. read more

Don't bother going here. I'm new in the area and this is the 2nd place I've tried. One of "the partners" Andy originally started taking care of me. I explained to him that I am allergic to the bond/primer that is in the gel nail polish. I explained that I could only use SNS and he just had to skip the bond step. He tried to explain that the nail would crack. I told him I've been doing it for 3 years like this (which by the way was suggested by another nail tech) and I've never ever had a problem. He insisted that it wouldn't work and told me that he could do the same with the gel nails. Meaning skip the bond. He insisted i would be fine. I was a little nervous but he assured me i would be ok. Of course i wasn't. I started having the reaction a few hours later. I went back to the shop the next day and he told me that he wouldn't charge me to take it off but would charge me an additional $40 to do the SNS like i originally asked for. I told him never mind to just remove them and polish them. He charged me $7. Bad business! If he would've taken care of me he might of gotten a loyal customer. read more

I e been coming here for past 2 years and have seen staffimy changes and depletion. This has impacted my overall experience because now the services that used to take 20-25 mins now take 12-15. I feel rushed and I know they're rushing through to get to the next customer. Extremely impressed by the level of overall service from this place. The staff is extremely nice, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the quality of work is just amazing. I found them after being tired of going to places that did a half rush job, but they did amazing. I have Lupus and due to inflammation I had to have the acid surgery on my feet for ingrown nails. The healing process creates tough dead skin and my nail tech took her time to ensure everything looked nice and clean. I will be back! read more

I got a fungal infection between my toes after getting a pedicure here. This is the first time I have been here and the first time I've gotten any kind of fungus from a nail salon. I'm pretty disappointed. They did use disposable liners in the basins, but I don't think the tools they used had been sanitized as they did not open the package in front of me like some other places I've been to. They were just in a plastic bin on the little table the nail tech used and very well could have been used with other clients. I should have said something but I never like to make waves. One of the best nails salons around. Every time I go my nails always turn out looking amazing. I'm not sure what the girls name was that did my nails, but she was awesome. After each nail she would make sure i liked the nail and the shape and everything. She kept checking on me to make sure my nails were exactly how I wanted them to be. They're sure friendly and they don't make you feel awkward while you're sitting there. They have conversation with you white they're doing your nails and that's a plus for me. read more

The lady told me they all broke because I have short nails . I've been getting my nails done for years and never experienced this. I asked her if she could just take them off she said its 10$ every other place charges 5$ then I said okay if I wanna fill in to fix it how much she said 26$ when I paid 28$ for the full set because of the broken nails. Nails by Helen is by far the best place in Dallas, Ga to get your nails done. I ALWAYS use Helen herself, even if I have to wait 45 minutes for her. Which if you call ahead and make an appointment (even same day) you won't wait but a few minutes! The inside might not be all 'fancy' and perfect, and some of her stuff may be considered 'old' to some picky people- but when I can tell you this woman can do some nails along with her awesome staff, they can get it done! And if you show her something she's never done before, she will do her best to try it and get it perfect! Helen is so unique and a perfectionist when it comes to her clients nails! She talks to you on a friend basis and tries to get to know you, so you feel like family while you're there! Her newest technique of the solar powder into ombré - if you choose 2 colors, is phenomenal! You will not be disappointed by Mrs. Helen, you'll have an amazing ending with your nails- and leave there feeling like family! Sadly, I'm moving to Texas and have no clue what I'll do out there without her amazing techniques and warm family feeling her shop gives off. Let me first start by saying that, in the beginning, I received great service. I have always felt that the price was high but I was always taken care of and the location was convenient. The last 4 times the quality of work as declined and the last 3 times I've not even received a massage with my manicure. Today I went in got a mani, pedi and wax. Firstly, the gentleman who did my nails picked up my brand new leather shoes (worn for the first time to the nail salon) and stained the leather leaving dark oil spots on the leather. Secondly I waited for some time to let my toes dry. As I was waiting, the gentleman left the customer that he had started working on after me and approached me to tell me that it was ok to put my shoes on as my toes had long since dried. I paid for my services and left. I went to the grocery store right next to the salon and kicked my shoes off as soon as I was finished shopping and back in the car.i was a little disappointed to see that both of my toe nails had smudged considerably. I knew I had meats and ice cream in my car but thought I'd make a quick pit stop to have the problem corrected. I got inside and we could not locate the original color that I had used. We tested several colors until the tech found one and started painting my big toe with it. After she completed the first she says "this is not exactly the right color so I have to paint my the other toes to even out". Which she proceeded to do; slapping a redder hue on top of my original pastel pink. So now I've got a one nails that are completely different than the color I wanted, a pair of brand new shoes ruined with oil stains on the outside, pink polish on the inside and no apology to be found. I believe businesses have off days and I also believe in second chances. However, I will no longer be giving this establishment my business. read more

I moved to the area about 4 mos ago from the north and found this little gem while driving down Dallas Hwy. The salon is clean and the people are polite. My first time there, it was a bit of a struggle understanding them (I'm sure it was just me). But Helen was patient and interested in doing a good job. I have only done the powder nails and it is very durable and lasts for about 1 mo., so I can't speak to the other type of nails. Helen does a great job, the ombré' style nails are pretty and I always receive compliments. I am very happy with the service and will continue to go there.
