Today was confusing. As I sit in my car after being turned away by the gentleman after coming in asking for a new set or 3 nails fixed. I don't mind paying. Every time I ask for what I wanted I was told about the price. I would just respond "I understand". This time I just had a refill Sunday. It's now Wednesday and most of my nails have lifted. As I tried to show and explain he took one look and said no and started ranting from the back across the room talking shit. While he is going on I have a nice enough other person "kee" in my immediate area offer to super glue them. My nails are already super glued to get through my day. I work in an office so I don't understand how my nails are already bad. Guess they are cheap for a reason. I do not know nor understand turning away customers. Such a shame. The lines was not clean/ straight and my nails was slanted. when I told them they told me they can take it off but they not doing my nails over, nor my pedi. Terrible service. When I moved to Houston, I searched for a very long time to find a good nail salon. I praise Jesus that I found this gem because now I can't stop going! I have been going to Vu for a few months now and he's great. All of the staff there is great. Everyone is sweet and smiling. Vu helps me pick good colors and lengths for my nails. The only reason I don't give a full 5 stars is because he sticks to simple classy looks but that's why he only charges $25 and he will tell you straight up. He's honest and easy to talk to. Nail removal is only $4-5 so it's such a great deal! I have also gotten pedicures and had an amazing experience! The lady was so nice and excited to give me my first pedicure. The is a good place for a cheap pedicure. $22 for a basic. Three of us went around 4 pm. They accepted walk-ins and had us choose a color. Their color selection was ok. I didn't see a lot of OPI or essie as their brand of choice. The water was a little cold but rather too cold than too hot because I don't want to be boiled. They have a tv so you can watch, a stool for your purse, and to side tables for a drink and your phone. I don't think they offer drinks, but there is a water cooler with small cups. So bring your own drink. They paint a toe and ask you if this color is ok, so they dont paint all 10 (or however many toes you have) and then the customer is like.... the color isn't what I thought it would be. So smart for both parties. I would definitely come back here and recommened it to others. read more

I have been here many times and it's a good price for a full set however it can only be a solid color. i went and asked for french tips and I was very disappointed with the results. They are just white tips with clear gloss on top, after telling them i didnt like them and wanted something else, they told me no and to do it next time. also after i said this, the lady was being rough with my cuticles and everything. i left with a disappointing nail set, cuts on my cuticles, and an annoyed feeling. I went home and cut them down and shaped them myself. it's been only a week since i got them done and they have already came up a lot and hair will get stuck underneath. just not satisfied and it was a very long wait. read more

The one thing I would emphasize is that the wait time will be very long depending on the time and day you come in since it's a one man job unless you're having a foot service. It's walk in only, no appointments. I recommend to come here if you're looking to do simple dip powder since Vu specializes in it and that option is quicker and more affordable. He has let me choose a free accent on several occasions (for example, if you want to do all nails pink and you choose to do your ring finger silver). It helps them if you have Zelle to pay towards at the end. Overall, I believe the price is fair for quality of nail work despite the long wait time. I give it four stars because I'm a little concerned with the cleanliness procedures of the salon, especially with COVID still being around. read more

This spot is a diamond in the rough. Not the best parking and located on a very congested shopping center and street. Nonetheless , I continue to return, despite that, based on how genuinely kind the business owners are. To add to that, I think it speaks tremendous words of skill and talent how perfectly he shapes your nail, takes the time to clean any excess acrylic from under the nail and how thin and symmetrical your set turns out. They offer a wide selection of colors and the real stuff! Not the counterfeit powders etc. They offer more than just the basic, repetitive nail salons offer. I was advise to book an appt., spoke to Vu himself and he quickly scheduled me in. I met him and his wife and they were very attentive all the while working on their clients. It seems as though their clients understand that this duo does what they do, and run their business the way they run it is because the work speaks for itself. All the clients that walked in came in packs and they knew each person, it's refreshing to see owners building personal relationships with frequent guests. Two things about this place: 1. Been seeing Vu on and off 8 years for my nail he's always been so nice but the last two times I was here he was very rude to me. I asked politely if I could have my nails a little bit thicker bc last time three broke in a matter of one week, he gave me attitude and told me to go elsewhere, this can be the last time I get my nails done by him, that I could go somewhere else to have my nails done. I will say his prices have been the same since I've been in Highschool.
