I usually dont speak up when i dont like something but i politely asked her to change the way the french tip looked as it was bulky on the end with minimal inside curve. she then made a high French tip but the inside curve was triangular. I asked her if she could change it a third time and explained that i waned it like the picture where they are more rounded. she proceeded to tell me the picture was airbrush and that someone cant do that by hand, even though my picture was from an social media post from a nail salon and very much so, not airbrushed. It's disheartening to speak up politely and not feel understood. I finally just gave up and said okay and let her do what she wanted, she seemed annoyed at my asking to fix them. My nails are bumpy and uneven and she rushed so bad and filed my skin. While I was there i had to say no to a pedicure no less than 4 times after saying I only came for a fill. I also got asked to do upgrades on my nails but i feel like they should focus more on doing what the client asks for, and less on pushing people to spend more money. Will not be back

And another technician that did my Easter nails did a great job. They tend to get very busy so I suggest making an appointment.

There was no jetted water at all and the technician, who told me her name was Lana, hardly spoke three sentences, even though I try to engage her in conversation, one of the things she did share with me was her name only because I asked her what her name was, and I shared my name with her. when I talked to her, she avoided my eyes and eye contact, and instead of using verbal instructions, or even using her hands to indicate when she would want me to switch foots, she would tap, and then raise her hand up, like I was supposed to know her super secret hand language. She did not do a good job of cleaning around my toes, or under my nails, even though they really were not that dirty. Every other experience I've had is that the technician does take their time and make sure that everything is tiptop, but not Lana. She left two of my toenails much longer than the other ones, and one of those two is much longer than the all the rest. That's on 1 foot. The other foot, at least the nails were of a similar length. But she did not file them or cut them at all. She lightly filed and then she barely did any kind of callus removal on the soul of my foot. 10 seconds tops on each foot for buffing out calluses. Completely ineffective. Then onto the manicure she did the same noncommunication. Her touch got lighter and lighter to tell me to move hands in and out of the cold water this time, until one time I even said to her., " do you want me to give you my other hand now?" And she nodded. I even said to her the water was cold, she just ignored me. Then, instead of using nail polish remover to get off the little bit of gel that I had left on my fingernails, she used her Dremel tool and used it so vigorously that she burned my nails, and I said ouch several times to her and told her that it burned, she continued to do it even after that. she did not use nail polish, she only use the Dremel tool to get the polish off. I asked her to not file my nails down too much on the top. She nodded her head and then just went ahead and did it anyway. And she did speak very good English when I spoke to her. So it was not a lack of her understanding. It has been a couple of days since the manicure now and the tips of my nails are all peeling off because she filed them so thin they are like paper. Additionally, as you can see from the photographs, there was polish all over my cuticles that she did not clean off. Hugely disappointing! I am not sure if it was just the technician or what because the shop was very crowded, and the lady I was sitting next to during my pedicure was very talkative with her technician, and she seemed to be very happy and said she was a repeat customer when I told her it was my first time there. The one good thing about the shop is that they had a huge selection of nail polish, and the massage chairs for the pedicure were in tiptop shape and worked nicely. But I most certainly would not recommend that you go to this shop and if you do be sure to tell them that you do not want Lana, but again I don't even know if that was her real name.

My husband booked me a pedicure at J'Adore Nail and Spa while we were in Missouri, and since I was…read moretreating myself, I decided to splurge on the $85 J'Adore Luxy Gold Pedi. The presentation was probably the coolest part of the entire experience. They brought out a cart with this dramatic, spa-like setup with what I assume was dry ice creating steam, and they added a ball to the foot bath that created even more steam and bubbling. There were orange peels floating in the bath, and the whole thing definitely made the service feel a little more special and indulgent. The Gold Pedi included a warm jelly bath with gold soak powder, cuticle care, gold scrub, cooling gel, gold mud mask, gold cream and body butter, paraffin wax, and massage. Tammy did my pedicure, and she was really good. The massage pressure was perfect for me since I don't enjoy anything overly intense, and overall the treatment was very relaxing. My one disappointment was the hot stone massage. The service is advertised as including a 10-minute massage with hot stones, but I would estimate the actual hot stone portion was closer to three minutes. Tammy did continue with a longer massage using her hands, probably around 10 minutes, and that was very good, but for an $85 premium pedicure, I was looking forward to getting the full hot stone experience that was listed. The salon itself was very nice, and they have quite a few spa pedicure options at different price points. I did find it funny that I had purposely waited to get my pedicure in Missouri because I assumed it would be less expensive than back home in California. After looking at the menu, though, their regular pedicure prices were actually pretty comparable to what I'm used to paying in California. Apparently California doesn't charge us more for absolutely everything! Overall, I'd give my experience about a 7/10. I enjoyed the atmosphere, Tammy did a great job, and the presentation of the Gold Pedi made it a fun experience. It was definitely a splurge at $85, and I just wish the hot stone portion had lasted the full advertised time. Still, it was a nice way to treat myself while visiting Missouri.
