My first time at this nail salon. I generally go to the one in the mall, but they're always so busy and I have been turned away a time or two, so I was searching for a new place to frequent. I came in on a Wednesday afternoon as a walk in. They were able to get me seated right away. I chose the deluxe pedicure, which included a paraffin treatment and hot stone on my legs and feet for $47. Thai was the one who did my pedicure. The entire pedi took an hour from start to finish. I felt very relaxed and did not feel like he rushed through. They have a nice variety of polishes to choose from and the place seems clean enough. I only have two things that bothered me. One is, they don't use the plastic liners in the tubs for the foot scrub like other places I've been to, and the tub in the seat beside me looked pretty grimy. Since I've formerly worked for a podiatrist, I am very aware of the epidemic of foot fungus' due to poor sanitizing at salons. The plastic disposable liners that most good salons offer, are always a nice touch. So short of bringing my own liner, I likely won't visit this establishment again, mainly because of this sole purpose. Although I'm not stating that this place is dirty by any means, the extra expense of providing liners for their pedicures would give their customers an extra reassurance that they're not going to get a pedicure and also leave with a bad foot fungus that's going to cost them time, money and embarrassment to get rid of. The second complaint I have, is that the very next day after getting the pedicure, my toenail kept catching on my sheets in bed, and was starting to peel back. I had to get out of bed and clip my nail back, because the filing wasn't done properly, leaving a rough edge. I was relieved to find that my polish didn't chip in the process, but I shouldn't have to clip my nails after just having a pedicure less than 24 hours prior. Otherwise, Thai was friendly, professional and efficient. He was attentive and used good pressure on the foot massage. The salon is in an ideal location. But I'm going to continue searching for a nail salon that meets my needs. As a heads up, they do not permit a tip on the credit card, so you must bring cash if you intend to leave a tip. read more

I'm updating my review. The first time I was so impressed and satisfied with my nails. I went back for a rebase and a pedicure. It was horrible. Absolutely horrible. I asked for BLACK polish on my nails and was given pink sparkles. I said no that's not what I wanted and I was told by the man who did them no your husband will like it. The pedicure was awful it was so painful. He scraped too much skin off the bottom of my feet it burned for two weeks I had to go to my podiatrist. He cut my toenails so short I ended up with ingrown toenails on three of my toes that I had to have my doctor take care of. I ended up with toe fungus on my big toe on my right foot. He used his bare hands to do my pedicure I asked for gloves and he said no it will be fine I washed my hands. Not once did I see them clean any of their tools or the tubs that our feet go into. Then when it came time for my re-base he sat me down and said I will do the same color on your nails that I did on your toes. I said no that's not what I want I want some thing else and he goes no it will be fine you will like it and I said no I want something else and I showed him a reference picture we sat down he was clearly upset with me he was hurting my fingers he drilled and filed so far off of my nail the skin around my nail was raw and tender he put the gel nail polish on and it was pink sparkle glittery stuff the same stuff that he put on my nails. At this point I said no this isn't what I wanted and he was I'm sorry just give it a shot I know you don't like this. I said the shape of my nails that I want is almond shape and he goes well OK and then he didn't even do the nail shape that I wanted. When he was done with me my hands were in so much pain and hurting. I was so frustrated I said I want to get out of here. Then I went to go pay and he charged me $15 more than what I was supposed to be charged. Then when I asked for a price breakdown he grabbed my card scanned it and he said everything's fine baby by and walked away from me. That night my fingers were hurting my feet were hurting I took a shower and I said well we'll see how everything looks tomorrow I woke up and the acrylic was chipped off all around my cuticle bed. And the actual gel polish was cracked. So I went back the next morning to have him fix it I asked for another girl but she had appointments and they said no he will fix it they wouldn't let anybody else work on me. So we sat down and I said I don't want this pink nail polish on my fingers there's nothing we can do about the feet but I don't want it on my nails. Just give me jet black. He said oh OK went and grabbed the gel nail polish we sit down and he put sparkly blue nail polish and said I think you will like this better. And I said no I want black nail polish and he said no no honey this will be fine. I got up and left. I will never ever go back to this place and they are lucky I don't turn them into the state they are extremely unsanitary and unprofessional in there. This has been the third worst experience with a nail salons out here in Virginia. I don't know what it is about the salons out here. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I got my eyelashes done. For the last 3 weeks they have been painful, itchy. I have no eyelashes left on my two eyes. I am literally bald. Do not recommend. Do not come here until you want your eyelashes to be bald. read more

I was greeted right when I walked in and didn't have to wait to be seated. The girl closest to the register started soaking my nails immediately as I waited for a tech to become available, which was nice. I was also offered water or soda while getting my nails done. Walk in NOT welcome. I can't tell you how well their work is. What I can tell you is how rude they were. I went to meet a friend who was already there getting a pedicure. The guy doing her pedicure waved at me as if he were expecting me. It took too long for anyone to greet me and when they did I said I wanted a pedicure and would like to be next to my friend. Someone said pick a color and I went to take the seat next to her. Then I was asked if I had an appointment because there were appointments coming in. So I asked if I should put my name on a list and he acted as though he couldn't be bothered. One of the ladies asked if I had time to wait, while another one made me feel like I had to get up and leave. When I realized that once everyone was done, with the two appointments and my friend there would be one technician available, when I questioned that I was told there was no time for me. Mind you, this was almost two hours before their closing. I will never go back. I went around the corner to the spot on Cowan. They treated me like they wanted my business. read more

I made appointments for 3 - 1 adult and 2 pre-teens for Monday, April 17, at 11 am. All 3 to have mani-pedi's. We were at 11am with different techs. Arrived to find note on door - closed for family emergency. OK, everyone can have an emergency. BUT --- no one called to cancel. It is beyod rude to your clients to let them show up and find a note. I should have received a phone call notifyinng us of need to cancel. I will not return to this shop. read more

Came for my sisters wedding mani/ pedi day. They were very accommodating! All the girls were great and did great work. I did not like the guy who did mine. He was very bossy, tried to talk me out of my color multiple because "you know gay people know best"....saying "i know what you like"... you clearly don't. Also my gel manicure was unusually thick, looks melted on my finger, and has chipped already (i went in 6 days ago). My pedicure also looks funky with how short he cut my toes. The girls were quite nice, took their time and not rushed. The girl who did my nails was from Laos, couldn't remember her name. She even let me sit and enjoy massage for a while after the pedicure was finished. The massage chair was nice, not only it massages your back, it massages your thighs and buttocks also! Got in quick, was excited to get my nails done.. Always have my acrylics filled, the woman made my already shaped nails crooked - I brushed it off, now a $50 gel fill is chipping THREE DAYS LATER - I have NEVER experienced gel nails chipping, not in the almost 4 years & many different salons I've been to. Very dissatisfied, I shouldn't have wasted my money trying a new place closer to home. Won't be back! read more

I've tried this place twice now and had a great experience both times. Dee Dee is awesome! She does a fantastic job and takes her time to make sure you feel pampered. This place does seem to get pretty busy though, so I've always made an appointment, and it helps if you're not in a rush. I'll continue coming here to get my nails done! read more

What a good place! My friend and I stopped by here yesterday to get a pedicure. We had previously gone to 1 shop but there was a 35-40 minute wait. Being as though we were just spending time in the area we stumbled across this shop. Let me just say I'm glad we came. We LOVED Johnny's fun personality! He let us know which colors were good choices and the ones that weren't he brought back some better suggestions. Him and his co-worker were great! My polish had messed up on one my toes due to putting on my sandals and she happily fixed it with no problem. Even though it was about 20 minutes after closing, they stayed with us to make sure my toe was dry before we left. Our pedicures were on point and we even grabbed a card on our way out. This my favorite place to grt my naila done. I've been going here for about 10 years. I have never been disappointed with the services from this salon. The manicures and pedicure are the best I've ever had, in quality and in time spent with attention to detail. They are wonderful with doing the designs I asked for and very kind and friendly.
