When I first came in the lady was very nice I waited for about 30min till a man said "you can sit now" I waited for at least 50,60 minutes till they got to do my nails so I was just sitting there staring at my phone for 50,60 minutes till the lady said "come,sit here" now I waited more minutes till I got assisted when she first started she said "you want gel or normal" I said gel I kept looking but it wasn't me so I said "actually can I get normal?"she said yea sure, when she started putting on my nails my hand was straight and she said "relax relax" I didn't know what she was talking about until she put my fingers down. while filing my nails she went pretty rough I was to shy to say "hey, can you slow down?" The service here and the work was adequate. Not great, not horrible. The reason for my low rating is the lack of cleanliness. Instruments were not from autoclave packets and files, buffing blocks, and foot scrubbers were very clearly used on multiple clients. The young lady that helped me was very good at painting nails. She matched the color perfectly to a photo of the dress I was wearing and did fun little decorations on the nails too. I usually just get a pedicure and they do a great job with the extra design on the big toe - I almost always get a flower of some kind with a few gemstones. They do get pretty busy sometimes, but I always end up going back here. It's worth it to try to come back at a later point, if they're too busy when you first drop in. It seems like for a little while last year, they were having a bit of a ventilation problem or something, but that totally seems to have been fixed because the last time I went in, there were no noxious fumes of any sort. read more

My niece got a gift card for her birthday, we went in for a basic set and white polish. She didn't show them to me until we got back into the car, at which point we turned around because the paint job was terrible. This could have been easily solved. But instead the owner was rude, and told us she didn't see anything wrong with the polish I had to argue with her to even get one of the other girls to redo her polish. I am so so so disappointed with this place. I've been coming here a while and today will be my last time. The man who did my nails was extremely rude. He cut me when he wasn't paying attention with the filter and blamed it on my "hang nail" that i didn't have. My nails were crooked and he said it was the "shape" of my nails. I've been coming here for years with my mom, and I've always loved this place! All three techs are very knowledgeable and talented. Numerous times I've come in for a nail malfunction, all completely my fault (Example, once I slammed my hand with long acrylics on it, on the dashboard of my car. Most excruciating pain I've felt. I came in and Kim glued the nails to stabilize them- no charge). They always fix it and do a great job. This is the only place I've come for an eyebrow wax, too. Great consistency and quick! A few weeks ago, I came in to get my eyebrows done. It was a Sunday evening, and for some reason it didn't cross my mind they might close early. The lights were on and I came in, apologizing when I realized they were all cleaned up for the day. Sam asked me what I needed done, and he happily welcomed me to the waxing room. Kim came in, did the job, and complimented how my pedicure had held up. Two weeks time and a trip to the ocean, and only the polish on my right second toe had come off. I got my nails done here on Sunday. The shape was not what I asked for but the man didn't want to fix it, so I let it go, tipped him and left. Two days later my polish literally starts turning black, I chose a pink polish. I had myself a lazy day, I didn't cook or anything. I don't smoke, so it wasn't from a lighter. They weren't melted. It just started turning black. So I go back in and ask them to take off the polish and fix it. I also asked if I could choose a different color because I didn't want it to happen again and he told me I would have to pay for that. He refused to take off the polish and painted over it. So now my nails look like my niece painted them, they have 5 layers of polish. Also, rudest service I have ever gotten in my entire life. Cheap, plus I got a student discount but they took three hours to get my pink matte mani set. Literally. In their defense, they were short two girls but they kept letting clients in and would take turns working on each. They gave me pointy nails when I asked for almond shape. When I asked to get them a little more round, they responded with "it won't look good, but I can do it". When I was getting my nails shaped, the pressure was insane and uncomfortable. They had forgotten to apply the matte polish and we're letting me go, and so they accidentally painted matte over the diamonds I paid extra for. Me and 2 other girlfriends came in today for her birthday to get her nails done we had an appointment at 11 o'clock 3 other women came in after us and they were done before us it is now close to 2 o'clock and we are still not done. One of the ladies that work there actually c ut my friend's hand open and kept buffing over at telling her that her hands were dry and made her bleed. They told us that if we didn't want to wait all day and we should have been on time for our pointment we were there at 10:50 and are appointment was at 11 and we still were not even seen until about 11:45. When I travel to Richland to care for my Mother ... I stop and get my nails cleaned up as part of my Social Life. Since I may be moving back soon I have picked Nails 2000 as my favorite place. Living in the Seattle area has spoiled me when it comes to getting my nails trimmed and cleaned up. My work and life style are very hard on my hands and nails. So when I am in the Richland area I stop in to see Kim and Sam and the others. The whole staff is very talented and we have a good laugh and interactions. Both staff and customers enjoy talking and conversing back and forth with each other. It helps that I speak some Vietnamese, and have traveled throughout Vietnam. This is the place where I will always return. I know that when running such a busy shop or any business not everything goes right all the time. Often with competitors slamming the business for their own gain. So I go with my experience and interaction rather than a critical attitude. The price is right here. It's very inexpensive but also they do a pretty bad job. It's not very clean inside. Cluttered and dusty. The acrylics don't chip or break like other sets I've had so that's nice. They do not use base coat so the paint will stain your nail. They would not do the shape I asked for. Very disappointed considering I heard so many great things about Nails 2000. First, my mom, aunt, cousin, and I came in. So two fills, one gel manicure, and a pedicure. There was only two employees in the shop, which we are fine with considering we don't have anywhere to go after. The nail tech began to apply the gel coat and I put it under the UV light and immediately felt a excruciating burning sensation. I told him it burned and he says "You've never had gel before?" Of course I have, but I have never experienced a burning when putting my nails under the light. I was shocked to find that this was a normal occurrence with gel manicures to him, when I have never experienced this anywhere else. Secondly my mom got a pedicure and said the nail tech was not gentle with her feet and rushed as more customers came in. The two nail tech ran back and forth in the middle of my manicure, my cousin and aunt's fill, and the pedicure. It was somewhat hectic. Then another employee that was clearly in the back of the salon taking on her phone decides to come out and help the other nail techs. I couldn't get enough time to fill them for another 2 weeks so, of course, they were wretched! I went to Nails 2000, had a fill and 1 week later, they're still gorgeous!
