********UPDATE*********
Owner, Priscilla has called me twice now to check up on me..
I'm fair and she did make it right and although I can't recant my opinion on the service that caused my pinky to be cut into, I can recant my opinion about the owner.
I'm moving on....
Well friends gonna share an experience I had at a local nail place. Nailed It missed the mark for me. I thought I was on to a good thing because I read good reviews and my first 2 appointments were ok.
My appointment yesterday was HORRIBLE. There was no follow up on the owner's part so double negative.
Bri was my nail tech and right from the start she cut my pinky. She used the scissor nail cutters and she cut some of the meat off under my nail. NOT THE SKJN GROWING OUT-- THIS WAS A SMALL CHUNK!
She apologized profusely and I'm very grateful for that. It wouldn't stop bleeding so I kept pressure on it, thinking that it wouldn't take long for it to stop but it wouldn't. She offered a bandaid but I told her I wanted to wait until it stopped bleeding. I finally gave it up and told her I would reschedule. It hurt like a MFR! I couldn't believe how painful it was. It bled so much, I couldn't see how deep it was because of the bleeding. I left and told the front desk to let the owner know that I would be filing a complaint with the board and going to the ER.
I did. I went to the urgent care where they cleaned it thoroughly, bandaged it up and sent me on my way.
It's been over 24 hours and no call from the owner to get my account of the incident or to apologize on her businesses behalf.
Now, I can't presume to make accusations on the owner's personality, but I can say that if she has a business with good reviews and then you have a tech/client incident that could turn into a bad review than, at least have the decency to reach out and apologize. If you're a business owner of an establishment that is accountable to licensing rules and regulations then act like it. You know you're subject to complaints, but that shouldn't have anything to do with being a business professional. So I ask myself what is this business owner's ONLY motive to have a business? My answer, MONEY. UNLESS AND UNTIL I HEAR OTHERWISE FOR MYSELF, THAT'S MY REVIEW AND I'M STICKING TO IT.
As far as Bri, personally not a bad thing to say, but I wasn't there to make a friend. I was there for a service and that was a fail! Of course you want to be able to have conversations and make a friend as well, but bottom line, the service SUCKED!
Same for the owner, she really isn't interested in making friends through her business, she's interested in the money.
So my next review is that if you go and have a good experience than great, but BEWARE, if you don't, then don't expect anything from the owner. That's what really makes an all around good business. It's what the character of the business shows during the BAD times as well!
