    My Nails after they soaked off the horrible acrylic nails

    UPDATED REVIEW:: I stand by my review, which reflects my personal and truthful experience. I will not remove it. Threatening to publish my personal information and make defamatory statements is not only unprofessional but also inappropriate. I encourage you to focus on addressing customer feedback constructively rather than resorting to intimidation. I want to set the record straight, because your response to my review was not only misleading, it was hostile, disrespectful, and filled with assumptions that are completely untrue. First and foremost, I never argued about money. I was still sitting in the salon chair, calm and collected when we spoke on the phone because I had every intention of paying for the service. However, the service was never completed. I stopped the technician midway through the appointment because I was deeply dissatisfied with the work being done. The shape, polish, and overall technique were below standard, and I expressed that in a direct yet respectful manner. The technician became visibly upset because I didn't compliment or accept the poor job she was doing. Instead of responding professionally, she reacted emotionally and defensively. What's worse is that she completely twisted the truth after I left, telling you a version of events that never happened. At no point did I "refuse to pay," nor did I cause a scene, raise my voice, or bring anyone into the situation. I was with my 9 year old. I didn't call anyone, my boyfriend came in from the car to pay the bill on his card. and I certainly didn't attempt to "bully" anyone over a $50 charge. That statement is not only false, it's inflammatory. I never once asked to receive a full set and not pay for it. I stopped the technician before the nails were finished, specifically because I did not want to sit through a service I knew I would not be happy with. That is not theft, it is called knowing my worth and advocating for myself as a paying customer. I also find it ironic that you speak so aggressively about "professionalism" while writing a public response that includes name-calling, personal attacks, and exaggerated accusations. If this is how your business handles feedback or customer concerns, then it only confirms the lack of accountability and care I experienced during my visit. Professionalism is about communication, accountability, and resolution, not public shaming. Instead of using social media to insult and vilify paying customers, perhaps you should focus on improving service quality and listening to concerns without jumping to conclusions.

    Unfortunately I did not enjoy my experience here. The lady who did my nails does not know how to paint nails. She messed up 4x and made me bleed. She went over my right hand so many times, I wouldn't be surprised if it starts to peel. However the lady who did my toe nails did them very well.

    They were kind but honestly save your trip. I paid $50 for gel without tips. I had a really nice shape to them already, but they went and made them all different anyhow. I don't think they got the vision of what I wanted, which is fine it happens. I left them a tip anyhow, and I don't even like leaving reviews but for $50, misshapen nails that are already coming off, and just bad quality... honestly so sad. I wish I read someone's review to prevent me from going somewhere that didn't match my vibe. Wanted to find something close to home, so disappointed. Probably gunna go somewhere else where they're gunna charge me a removal fee for something I literally just got. In this economy? Getting my nails done is a little treat and this trip just stressed me right out. Wish we could respond to the owners! I didn't want the length, I showed the photo for the color. I'm not sure if you've ever gotten your nails done anywhere, but the shape is supposed to be uniform and the lay down is supposed to be smooth. I wasn't aware of the 7 day policy, as it was never mentioned but that is excellent news! I would love to get them removed and may be visiting tomorrow. A competitive price for the area is $35 for shellac gel no tips (that means additional length). If you'd like screenshots of what my friends (regular nail salon visitors) had to say regarding these nails you might think twice about saying "the shape is fine." It's okay not to be perfect every time, as I mentioned previously, but being cynical to paying customers who were not being rude is not a good look. I don't like telling people that their hard work was not what I envisioned, which is why I paid her a tip and didn't ask to have them removed. But upon further consideration, I figured leaving my literal one and only review on yelp would benefit another girlboss who just wanted a little treat after a long hard day of work.

    This was the most rushed and stressful appointment I have ever had. I was started with the pedi in the foot bath, and at the same time had to endure a bad gel mani while getting the pedi. This involved grinding the polish off to the nail bed (no soaking it off like it should have been), a very light gel coating and balancing two gel UV lights on a pillow in my lap until it was done. Usually, customers are given the courtesy of a relaxing pedi, with maybe a soaking solution for the old gel, with foil and cotton pads while getting the pedi. Then they are moved to a work station where the technician takes the time to do a professional manicure. This was rushed and sloppy. I was there maybe 50 minutes. While I was getting the services, the salon owner (the technician said she was the owner), came over maskless and yelled at her two staff members, while facing me a couple of feet away for a few minutes before I asked for a mask. She may have been talking about something random, but both technicians had their backs to her, hunched over my nails and feet, and nodding every now and then, so it looked like something bad. She asked something I couldn't understand, and I said "so loud". She moved away, sat in a chair across from me and glared at me until another customer came in. I was very frazzled when I left! Yesterday, my index finger nail snapped off when I went to grab my luggage. It bled when I had to pull the broken part off in the airport. The nails are too thin and fragile - not enough gel. I'm going to have to trim all the nails, so they don't crack and damage my nail bed anymore. It was only two days after my appointment took place and look at the condition of my mani and cuticles! Update: Three days later, this one snapped off (right side)!! Unpleasant experience.z

    I think I found my favor new shop! I was looking for a new nail salon closer to my house and I found NailBoss which is literally 8 minutes from my home. I looked at the reviews to see who had the best reviews and "Cindy" name kept coming up. I am very particular when it comes to my nails and Cindy didn't disappoint!!! She did a great job with my acrylic overlay and finished with a very smooth nude shellac color. My pedicure was done by Amy. Amy gave a massage out of this world. She took reall great care of my feet and legs and she also did a great job applying a smooth polish at the end. I will definitely return to this shop in the future. If youn plan on coming to this salon, Please book with Cindy for your nails and Amy for your pedicure!!! You will not be disappointed

    My wife and I have been come back customers for 3 years. We've brought cousins, mother in laws and everyone. We have always been treated fairly and feel that Yoyo the lead nail designer charges fairly based on her work. They have always had a professional yet approachable attitude about any and all comments or suggestions.

    I want to say that this is my absolute go to place! Yo-yo and her team are extremely wonderful! They are very welcoming and personable. Every time I have a specific request on a nail design they totally knock it out of the park every single time!! The atmosphere is nice. And so is the music selection I never feel rushed when I'm there and they always go above and beyond to provide exceptional service. I always leave extremely happy.

    I used to really like coming here but not now. I spent forty five minutes to fix my nails that I got the day before. New coats were applied on top of the coats that we messed up and was just ignored.

    Cindy went above and beyond. She was incredibly sweet and made sure that everything was to my satisfaction. All of the ladies took their time with both my pedicure and full set. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone looking for their new go-to nail salon.

Heidi is located in the Salon Village building with several other suites. Parking is conveniently located right outside of the building. Heidi has her own large suite (C2) decorated nicely with bright paintings and very clean. For a brow wax to be considered good to me, I need my waxer to not only wax, but also tweeze (you would be surprised how many do not). Heidi does wax and tweeze! Phew!! Some waxers also wax in the sitting up position, which I do not like. I prefer to be horizontal to get all the little fine hairs that can only be seen under good lighting. Heidi has a massage type table to lie on while waxing. Another phew!! I also noticed I didn't break out after being waxed. I typically get little red itchy bumps, so I was happy I didn't this time. Her products must be higher end. She sanitized the table after my waxing. Heidi is very conversational, professional and timely. I found my new waxer. Highly recommend! (I didn't get to take photos of her actual suite since we jumped right into my appointment.) Heidi has a text friendly way to schedule your appointment. After you choose your time, a text will be sent to you confirming your appointment. A reminder text is sent to you prior to the appointment. Easy and hassle free!

About a year ago this location was bought by a new owner and they started making changes. It's taken about a year, and I'm finally over it and making my final decision and reviewing. First issue, when the new owner came around she let go many of the seasoned employees and all of the waxers that I was familiar with were replaced or left. Most of the new staff were friendly (some had major attitude issues) but it was hard to find someone I really liked (gotta feel pretty comfortable with someone in order for them to be touching around in my private areas). Just recently after a year of trying to find a good provider, it seems there has been another mass exodus of employees and everyone is new again. New isn't bad, but inexperience is. I've now seen 4 different girls and all of their wax techniques are different. Some use HUGE strips and some you can tell are rushing. Every time I leave, I'm in throbbing pain and the area that was waxed is very tender. This is not something that use to happen in the past. But now, this past year under new ownership, I don't think I've left feeling 100% satisfied about a wax once. Secondly, it seems that they are cutting costs and corners in some of the most ridiculous places. They switched the pre-wax wipes to these garbage wipes that are so flimsy they rip when you try to use them. The draping paper towels they use are smaller and more see through as well. It's little things that once you've been coming to a business for years, you notice when they change, and especially when they change for the worse. Lastly, three times in a row now when I arrive for my appointment during business hours, the front door is locked and no one is at the front desk to notice to open the door for me. I have to call the number and ask to be let in. This location is not in a sketchy part of town and there is absolutely no reason for the front door of an establishment to be locked during business hours. If you want to have the front door locked, then there should be a team member at the front ready to open the door at all times. Customer should not have to stand outside and wait to be let in after they call. I am not planning on canceling my membership, but I might try out a different location that's not owned by this person. I use to love Waxing the City and would rave about how great the membership was. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone now.
