I wanted a bold style for my naturally curly hair and decided to try a side undercut--so I shaved half my head myself and came in just needing a cleanup in the back. From the moment I walked in, I felt judged for my hairstyle. Nahia even asked if I had a "Britney Spears moment," which was incredibly hurtful and inappropriate. It's been two weeks, and I still feel self-conscious, even though this was something I'd wanted for a long time. I know not everyone will like or understand bold styles, but I expected basic professionalism from someone I trusted to work with my hair--especially since I usually avoid salons because they mishandle curls. I brought all of my own products to avoid harsh or allergenic ingredients (like coconut and apricot), and while she did use them, she ignored my explicit request not to use heat--diffusing my hair and sitting me under a dryer at full heat. The haircut itself was uneven in the back (the whole reason I went in), and the longer layers she added on the side clashed with the undercut. She cut my curls while soaking wet, which isn't ideal for curly hair. She even parted down the middle, including the shaved side, and just started trimming. I had no split ends--just a little frizz--but left with much shorter hair and no shape. I was charged $50 and tipped 30%, probably because I was still processing how upset I actually was. If you have simple hair and want a basic cut, maybe. But if you have curls or want a bold style, avoid her--you'll likely end up disappointed, judged, or both.

We were told on the phone a combo hair wash and facial would be $60 but not include deep clean like pimples . When asked about the $60 combo they told us the facial would not include pimples so we opted for the facial only for $55. For $55 we thought it would be a deeper facial but it was not what we expected . The combo was $60 and the express facial was $55. Why not just get the combo then? $55 was not worth it for the express. Something you can do at home. Was couple soaps on your face and a hot towel and a face mask. And that's it. The sign made the express facial limited only outside sign made it seem so special but it's standard facial they have on their menu. Was very disappointed and won't be coming back. I understand costs have gone up. But if you're only going to do the bare minimum then charge accordingly.
