I like the fact that they do other things apart from nails such as facials and things. I personally think its a bit expensive for me, but I never splash out on things like this. My friends say that it's not badly priced considering the time they spend on you.

I'd tried everything i could to stop, but i even got used to the taste of the horrible stuff you paint onto your nails which is meant to taste so horrible you won't even think about putting your lips near what was left of your cuticles. I was going strong for about 2 weeks, when i was walking past Creations with my boyfriend who said that if i kept it up for a month then he'd treat me. Perfect idea. I managed for over a month and took a trip to Creations to get my nails done professionally. I was so excited to finally have nails and there were so many other options, patterns, colours and styles to choose from that i was a bit overwhelmed and opted for the safe bet of the French Manicure. It wasn't terribly expensive, and there are great set deals in Creations which give you the chance to have four different parts of your body pampered for only £20.

I emailed the salon asking for a refund, and was told that they could only offer to redo the service. I appreciated the gesture but at that point, I didn't have time to go in and get it all redone before I left. I explained this to Julia, the salon owner and even sent her pictures of my nails so she could see the clearly substandard job. Had it been any other day I would've been happy to get them redone, but as I explained to Julia several times I was leaving for my wedding abroad in less than 48 hours and simply couldn't accommodate another appointment in my schedule. Julia repeatedly ignored this and continued to ask for my availability to get them redone. I eventually decided to move some other appointments and called the salon Friday morning to reschedule, but there was no availability at the westbury location. The lady I spoke with very tersely told me that I should've taken the appointment she offered yesterday at 1 PM (I wasn't available then, and had already spent two hours at the salon that morning) she then told me that if I had been so dissatisfied with my service then I should've refused to pay. This might have been a good solution if they hadn't taken 2/3 of the payment up front when I booked! I did eventually agree to go in to have the nails redone on the Friday, but as there was no availability in my local salon I had to go to an even further one away. Despite Julia's insistence that fixing my nails "would only take 45 minutes" I was there for nearly two hours. In fairness, the ladies at the Clifton salon were able to fix my nails; but requiring your clients to carve more time out of their own schedules so that the technicians can have another shot at a proper service is just not adequate. Will not be returning here: rude employees, terrible service and utterly incompetent nail technicians.

The nail tech removed way too much callous so one of my heels was tender for about 10 days. My nails were unevenly shaped. Not all do the move you around for each part of the process which is confusing (a bit like speed dating) but the finish was terrible. Most of the white tips had been applied bent, when I asked the manager to fix it she said there was nothing she could do about it and is wasnt her problem. When I asked her for a reduction as I wasnt willing to pay the full price for a shabby job she said she would rather cut them off. After waiting the whole process took over an hour! :O she did them wrong I wanted glitter applied on them too and she said I didnt tell her! But i told the first person who started my nails. When a guy came over to check if my nails were dry he noticed the terrible finish on them and started shouting in chinese and about 5 of the people in there came over all to feel how bobbly my nails were. But she wasnt bothered and didnt even offer to fix them when I told her to look at the rubbish finish. SHOCKING AND HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE!

I also had my eye brows waxed which look great and good value, the girl was funny and friendly exactly how you want a therapist to be. The layout: The building is oddly laid out there is a pretty shop downstairs and the actual salon is 4 floors up! There are signs that point to reception being upstairs. When i was having my massage all i could hear was the floor upstairs creaking which was not very relaxing! Negatives: when i found the reception i waited 15 minutes to be welcomed, a young lady said hello and left me there and i presume the owner/manager came and made me feel a bit uncomfortable stating no one knew i was there and they had been waiting for me.....hmm man your reception desk then i was thinking, but being ever polite..i didnt say that. Wasnt the ideal welcome to Icandy i had been hoping for-does annoy me when business make the client feel at fault. Regardless it was a mostly positive experience. i think i will be going again they have lots of different treatments that other salons don't offer and the eyebrow tidying was really very good.

Having endured several cruel asides about my orange palms, streaky knees, brown cuticles and crusty, muddy elbows, when I was due to be bridesmaid at my best friend's wedding I decided to call in the experts. But, knowing I was attending a wedding in a visible role with my dearest friends (and harshest critics), I decided arriving the mahogany tone of David Dickinson or the orange hue of an Oompa Loompa was not desirable. I trawled the websites of Bristol's beauty salons and decided it was best to avoid the San Tropez nightmare. I Candy does a really good range of airbrush tans, so I plumped for them. Yes you do have to drop trou and don the paper panties, but I promise you, you won't end up looking like Ross from friends. The result was so good and realistic that I decided to go with them on my own wedding day. I was somehow also persuaded to go for bio-sculpture gel on my finger and toe nails and, desperate to be the perfect bride, I agreed. However, I found it to be a really destructive force on my nails. The woman at the salon did assure me the layers would come off with a strong remover but that was not the case. And when I did finally get them off, the nails underneath where like brittle, wrinkled grapes. It's taken six months for them to recover. So, I would say go here for spray tans, but not for nails. They do do a range of other treatments from the more invasive treatments like skin tag removal, electrolysis and teeth crystals to the more standard like main-pedis, waxing and facials. The only other treatment I've used is waxing, which was fine and I'm sure many of the other treatments would be. But the salon is a bit shabby inside and I think the service could be better and more personal.

Personally I was a little taken aback with the prices: I'm very pro getting my hair trimmed for as little as possible, but the girls I live with were all praising the chatty staff and little details like the way 'the guy got rid of all my split ends'...apparently. My guess is that this is one for the ladies or the very cool/bordering on vain blokes. You're getting an extremely professional cut in a place with cool atmosphere but you're paying for it!

Previously, I had never found a hair salon that could give me the right cut - my hair is frizzy, thick, and gets greasy very quickly. After my flatmate came back with a gorgeous cut from Therapy I had had enough and decided to visit Therapy the very day. They do not take same-day appointments so I was forced to wait for a couple of days, but it was every curl worth the wait! The hairdressers were friendly without being overbearing and transformed my unruly locks into loose, wavy curls I was for once proud to have on my head. The salon is right in the hubbub of the university area and is extremely busy. On the plus side they have great student discounts.
