She kept cutting and cutting for an HOUR AND A HALF until he looked like an grotty estate mum. He was devastated and had to wear lots of hats. Avoid if you're a man (unless it's just simple short back and sides). As a female I'd say it's fine for simple trims and easy styles.

The staff were very friendly and i ended up having my hair cut right then! I was unsure what i wanted and the lady talked me through all the different things she could do, when she'd finished i was over the moon with my new hair style! The price was reasonable and I didn't feel ripped off at all, i've paid a lot more in the past and ended up wanting to stick a bag over my head until it grew out! She listened carefully to what I wanted and double checked before cutting which was reassuring. Linda has cut my fringe here and she also did a great job. Both ladies seem to know everyone who comes in - and it is a busy salon as there wasn't a gap for two days when I called for an appointment. They also seem to be a favourite in the area to cut children's hair but don't worry if you have come here to relax - there is a firm notice on the door stating that children must be quiet and under control! It is certainly relaxing here, they keep the local radio on low. Aside from the hairdressers you can also get a massage and waxing of various hairy bits done here. The back rooms are split up into little modules for each of the treatments. Prices for haircuts are very good - I paid £16 for a wet cut and £2 for a quick fringe trim.

It was well worth it, and despite his position he seems to run a thriving and busy business - probably receiving a lot of trade from the neighbouring offices. The salon is quite large with a modern feel to it - it has a separate 'wet' room with the sinks, and then a really decent amount of haircutting stations. That, in itself, must be a sign of their high custom. It's always been busy when I've been in, and each time I have it's been fairly late evening. If you can, get Alan to cut your hair - he's clearly a master of his trade, and very talkative (not in an annoying way- he'll give you an intelligent conversation) and friendly. The prices aren't super cheap, but you definitely pay for a quality of service.

I like the fact that it is busy but you feel relaxed & not croweded, most importantly everyone is friendly. My hair colour is the best it has been for a long time and I am really pleased with the cut. The cuting prices are comparable to where I have been in the past with the colouring being slightly more - worth it though as you get a much more professional result. Went here last week for a quick trim - just wanted a bit cut off the ends, layers and fringe…read moreshortened with hair damped down, a quick trim On the positive side my hair did look nice when I left however:- Stylist said she must wash it first - ok She put conditioner on it without asking if I wanted any She then told me she was going to spray it with an American leave in conditioner and blow dry it. When I said I just wanted a wet cut and leave it to dry naturally she said they didnt do wet cuts and she had to dry it off to finish cutting it! She then proceeded to spray with conditioner blow dry and straighten it as well . I didnt want this either but she said I wouldnt be charged for it umm thats not the point is it! Basically this salon carries on regardless whether you want something or not which I am not at all happy about I have a lot of alergies to products which is why I did not want a leave in conditioner or any conditioner to be honest I have a conditioner at home that I use which I know suits me thanks I limit the use of heated appliances on my hair as it causes damage thanks Yes my hair was cut well at a reasonable price but I will never go to you again as if I pay you I expect it to be done the way I want - which is what all the other salons do!

I'm told it's a hair salon and judging by a few chairs and mirrors it is. But then there's a lot of staff apparently on sale. I mean, a lot of stuff - to a charity shop standard. And this is basically the vibe of the store, a hair salon come charity shop. It's kind of cool and I dig it, but very random. So the next time you're thinking to yourself "I need a new style but also some pre-loved crockery from the nineties" you know where to come.
