Worst manicure ever. Waited 45 minutes with both hands soaking in acetone to remove dip that I had. When they finally got the existing dip polish off, she trimmed my nails crooked. She was distracted while answering and talking on the phone twice during the manicure. After an hour and fifteen minutes of waiting and very little manicuring I almost left without plush because I was so frustrated. I will not go back and do not recommend it! I am not sure they're even licensed. I looked around for certificates and did not see any. The girl who gave my manicure absolutely did not know what she was doing. read more

I've always chosen this salon because they have my favorite nail color. I chose the colors from the samples and waited my turn. When the tech started my manicure I noticed the color seemed off. I mentioned this to her and she said wait until the second coat. I picked up the bottle and told her it wasn't the right color. She assured me it was going to look the same. After the 2nd coat it was not the same!! It was then that I was told they did not have the color I wanted. This was so disappointing!! This salon is not near my home and I make the drive simply for this color. They should tell clients upfront when their are product changes. Sadly, I may find a salon closer to home. read more

I opted for something super duper simple because this was my first time trying the shop and it's semi close to where I live. I wanted a simple French manicure and I showed the woman exactly what I wanted because it had been done before. I went in at 11:54 am and did NOT leave until 2:05pm and I still had to go pay someone else to do it. After coming back from my trip my nail is split/cracked on the side. The woman acknowledged she fuqed up my nails but still charged me $50..and I literally had to pay $50 to someone else to put designs (simple) on my nails. The gel polish on my toes came off when I was at the beach. While I was at the shop this woman was wholly distracted and lacking the professionalism I enjoy when I get my nails done. She also said some isht was "ghetto" and when I asked what she meant by that, she wasn't able to unpack it. Just save your money. read more

I came to this location to get my eyebrow done, since it is a few blocks from my office building, I took a quick break. I really needed them done, but have been dreading the drive to my normal location and decided to try this place. I should have paid close attention to previous reviews, but my dumb self ignore them and decided to go. So as I am being attended the lady does the wax on my eyebrow and starts waxing away, puts some baby oil on them(I think). Lets me check them on a mirror. Since they are wet from the oil they look fine, but after I leave my eyebrows start getting irritated from the wax. So at work I'm pouring lotion on my eyebrows, which calmed the irritation down. I then notice that my eyebrows were not trimmed down. I was so disappointed and since I know my eyebrows, I should have asked her to brush and trim, but was used to my regular place doing it without telling them. I really wanted to like this place, for any future eyebrow emergencies. I am so disappointed which I don't plan coming here anytime soon. read more

I have been here a few times, each time hoping it would be a better experience since it's conveniently close to my home. However, after this last mani/pedi, I refuse to go back. In this recent visit, I came in on a slow day. A gentleman sitting on the couch playing on his cell phone was instructed by the female in charge to do my manicure. With a noticeably harsh sigh, he got up to provide this service that was obviously interrupting his time. I am not kidding you, this was the fastest (and worst) manicure I have ever received. He only had me quickly dip my nails/cuticles in water to soak, he did not file them nicely, he did not treat or trim my cuticles, and he painted them so quickly and unevenly that even dry, you can see the poor effort that was put in. I went there 2 days ago and my nails are already peeling and chipping. On top of that, he literally had me get up and head over to the pedi chair as soon as he was finished so he could go back to the couch and get on his cell phone. I had no time to let them dry and received no assistance transferring my belongings with my wet nails. The whole manicure was ridiculously quick and a joke. I was pissed. After commenting my dissatisfaction to the female, she offered to have the same man fix them by putting another coat on them after my pedi, but I was so irritated that it was such a terrible mani, I didn't want to interact with the man again. My pedi went much better. A different man did them and I am so glad. It still wasn't enough to get me to want to come back. The few times I'd been there before, I always felt the place was lackluster and definitely not the cleanest/most professional. It's time for me to just find another place. read more

I first tried Nail Time because it was so convenient for me. I have been back several times and haven't ever been disappointed. The staff is friendly and caring. I enjoyed chatting with them. They took a lot of time and put a lot of care in to my pedicure. They have a very good selection of polishes, and it looks like they take good care of them. The salon has always been neat and clean. I really want this to work out for me, but it just didn't. The lady who performed my mani and pedi was not pleasant, that's ok if you do a good job, but she didn't. Bad mani and pedi and she didn't wear a mask and kept coughing. At one point someone else had to step in. Final straw, they have no equipment to dry nails so I had to hold my hands up to a fan. Both my hands and toes have been messed up since I left because there was no proper drying. Onto the next one. read more

i've gone here before and received great service but this time was so disappointing. i wanted a simple pedicure with no polish and an overlay to make sure my big toe nails don't break. the guy said he couldn't do the overlay but asked the person next to him if she could and she reluctantly said yes. near the end of my pedicure she walked over and looked at my toes with disgust. i immediately felt uncomfortable and just paid the guy who was working on my toes and left. he did a great job but she ruined my overall experience. ill never try to get a service from her again. read more

My experience wasn't that great at all here. I received an SNS full set but after a week, they look as though they were done by an infant. The nail tech was not observant and I had to mention to her multiple times that there were red glitter specs in my French manicure! If I wouldn't have said anything then she would've continued sloppily putting the clear coat on my nails. The clear coat is not smooth and very streaky and clumped in certain areas. I have to admit I was hesitant to get my treatments done (massage and nails) at first with how the outside looked but the inside of the facility was beautiful. The staff were professional and the equipment were properly cared for. I have been to various nail salon's and none compared. They did not shout across the room and all of the employees were very pleasant. The room was contantly cleaned. I've been coming here for 4 years to get my eyebrows waxed and I have yet to have a bad experience! They are very reasonably priced and do excellent eyebrow waxing. Can't imagine spending $25 to get my eyebrows waxed somewhere else when they do such a fantastic job here for $12. Also got acrylic nails a few weeks ago for my wedding and they did such an incredible job for only $35. I used to love this place. I would go in and get the best coffin shaped nails ever. Recently, I've let them wax my eyebrows..got an infection right above my brow. I was like ok ok ok..maybe it was bad wax. Went back the next week to get my nails done (my normal nail tech wasn't in)..so some new guy did my nails. Well..my nails are different lengths from him trying to correct how crooked and slanted they were..when they're normally perfect. He was cutting me like crazy. My pinky nails are long like a pimp. My cuticles are peeling back like crazy. And to top it off..I got another infection on my right finger cuticle. They are very friendly and kind, but I won't be returning. read more

Have to be honest and say... I went to this place about 4 months ago and wasn't impressed at all. It's very close to where we live but I decided to drive down 280 instead to get my nails done every 2 weeks. Being newly engaged you have to keep your nails looking nice of course Recently they remodeled and added new pedi chairs and updated their gel polishes. Me and a friend decided to give it another try last week and I must say they have really upped their game. This time my gel manicure has actually lasted longer than a week unlike the other times. I called this salon before I went the one said we can get you if you arrive now this was about 15 minutes before 5 I arrive a little before 5 I pick my color and the lady tells me to sit in chair 3 . I sat in the chair for one hour while 2 employee worker cleaned the store. They close at 7. I sat in the chair for an hour no one did my nails no one ever said a word to me once I sat in the chair. I waited and hour and did not receive any service. Eventually I walked out and my nails was not done. I'm very disappointed in Nail Time on Claremont and I will never return. My nails are ugly, lumpy and big. I ask for thin natural looking nails because these are my real nails. He did not succeed and I will not return. The acrylic is all on the side of my nails making them look wide. Meaning he didn't do a good job at shaping my nails or putting the acrylic on first. This was not a comfortable pedicure experience. I was concerned that the equipment was not sterilized and when I inquired I was told that they cleaned the instruments after each customer. I was not assured they were "sterilized". I have used Nail Express in CHELSEA and the experience was always relaxing and pleasant. This was just in and out with little to make the experience special. After reading reviews I decided to go against my better judgement and visit Nail Time. My tech was a man who I think maybe had never done SNS many times before. I have had this procedure done several times, so I kinda know how it goes. Anyways, he starts to put the powder on and it's all lumpy, when it's normally smoothed out. I thought to myself well maybe it will start to look better. It didn't. I asked him what he was doing he said something about doing each hand one at a time. Then he reached to cut my cuticle. It was at that point that I said " no more". I politely told this man that I would pay for everything he had done up to this point, but I wanted him to stop. This seemed to piss him off as he got up and stormed out... I presume to have another cigarette as well because he smelled like a huge smokestack anyways. So, as he is storming out he says " no top coat - she scared!!" While I would not dignify his ignorance with a reply I did agree that I was in fact scared for him to do anything else to my hands. So, another lady comes out - maybe the owner?? Well, I tell her that I would like to just pay and leave. She says let me fix it, and tells me to pick another color. Not sure why I had to pick another color when the one I had picked originally was an option but oh well. I kept trying to find out from her if there was something wrong with the color I chose. She finally said " no , I do this color all the time I just don't know what he was doing." So she finished my nails and I paid and left but I will never ever go back. Lesson learned. read more

I went in for a pedicure and the man who was doing my pedicure was new, no complaints there I know everyone has to learn/ start somewhere.... but with all of the pedicures I've paid for there, and elsewhere, your feet are scrubbed and massaged, there were neither of those services done with this pedicure. I had picked out a light pink/ white color by Essie that I use quite often and as he was going to paint the clear coat (which is the finishing coat) I looked down and noticed it was as if only one coat had been applied. You could see the brush lines and see through to the nail so I asked for another coat to be put on, which was, and you could still see through the paint to the nail. I voiced that I was not pleased with the outcome and another nail tech came over and said that it was the product. Again, I've used this color plenty of other times and never had this problem.... so they suggested I pick another color. As I walked over and picked another color in all of about 15 seconds, my nail tech walked outside and started smoking a cigarette. I stood there completely surprised at how unprofessional it all was. I know at my job I don't just walk off half way through for a break. Anyway the pedicure finally ended and the whole experience was very odd. I tried this place out because I realized I had not tried any nail salons nearby. My usual go-to is on 280, so I thought I would give this a shot. I was not happy with the customer service and witnessed several strange situations--such as a refusal to seat a mother next to her young (9 or 10 YOA) daughter despite adequate seating. I was not pleased with my gel manicure either, since two of my nails were significantly chipped by the time I got into my car. The person who manicured my nails refused to fix them, despite my concern that they weren't properly set. I really hope they step up their game soon...and also make the salon more aesthetically pleasing. read more

It's been two years ago but I got a staph infection in here when the tech used the pumice stone on top of my toe. I did not have a callus there either. It started bleeding and she placed my foot back in the dirty water where my feet had been soaking. Four hours later my toe was swollen and full of pus. I ended up with 2 Doctor appts and 4 prescriptions. The owner claims I ask her for a gift certificate when it was she who offered me one when I went in there with my bills and a photo of my toe at its worst stage. She claimed she filmed our conversation. Since she didn't have my permission, that's against the law. Stay away from this place and Josie, the manager. read more

I got my nails done at Nail Time last Wednesday and had a terrible experience. I had grown my nails out naturally and had my desired shape. I went to Nail Time because I wanted to find a new place closer to home. They didn't have the SNS power that matched the color I picked out, and gave me a different color & look entirely. Not only did she not remove the old SNS polish, but when she trimmed my nails, she messed up the shape and my nails look very wide and don't look natural. The nail technician was sloppy and careless with my nails, and hurt me a couple of times with the nail file drill because she had it turned up so high. She messed up twice, and actually applied glue the first time instead of a top coat. Since she had to start over, they couldn't finish in time before they closed and sent me home with wet nails. Because the job was done so poorly the coat cracked and weakened. I barely hit my hand on my car door and broke half of my nail off down to the bed (ouch). read more

This was the worse money I ever spent. Not only were the employees disrespectful but they were in a rush. My friend and I went to have some girl time since I just got into town. We arrived at 6:30 and felt rushed and bossed around the whole time. I was very uncomfortable because the man who was doing my nails literally only used his own fingernails to push back my cuticles and hurt me several times. I didn't even get my nails filed properly to accommodate the acrylics I paid for. I had to ask the man to do basic steps like clip my nails and he responded with a heavy sigh and did half of them. Overall terrible place. In the end I was told "okay bye! Go home now!" Without my nails drying properly and came out with horrible looking nails.
