I've been going to Nail Tek for over 10 years. I do have to say I'm a natural girl where I'm not getting fill ins and such. But I do get gel nails or dips on the occasion and am always pleased. The staff is always professional, they do a fantastic job on the services I choose. I usually do walk ins and don't have a problem but I would recommend calling if it's a busy weekend or holiday season ,spring time or summer. Also, a relaxing atmosphere. i got a gel manicure. it wasn't done correctly. it started peeling two days later. you can tell that they pay more attention to detail when it comes to the white women that come to them. but when i go (im a black woman) the care and attention is lacking. i was a regular and tipped big too, well over 50 percent. i found somewhere else to go that is not prejudiced. read more

If you don't have an appointment do not show up. It honestly pains me to say this but this mail shop made me feel very uncomfortable. When I walked in without an appointment I was told there would be a wait. I agreed and the manager walked away obviously irritated. She then comes back and says it's appointment only . I must point out I was the only person of color in the shop and was getting incredibly condescending stares from the staff. After switching the narrative from there will be a wait to there's appointment only I was nearly rushed out. The worse part is that I called ahead to see when they stopped taking walk ins and was told 6pm. Although I'd expressed I'd leave I did have to wait on an Uber to pick me up as my car is currently being repaired. The business manager or owner was pushy and rude and did not treat other guest with such haste. POC stay AWAY! I felt so nervous to even sit and wait for a ride. They were not even closing until 7pm when I pulled up at 5:06. Asked another walk in when she could return but did not speak to me beyond the very rude initial interaction. I'd give 0 stars if I could. I only went because of I was given a gift card. The pedicure was not the best. I had to ask them to rescrub the callus off my feet. When it was time for me to pay, I told them that I left the gift card in my car. When I turned around to go back in the store, the lady who did my pedicure was sneaking behind me in the parking lot. She followed me out there because she didn't think I was going to pay. She tried to act like that wasn't what she was doing. But why else is she a few feet behind me in the parking lot? We had group reservations placed weeks in advance. We all waited an hour before the first one was started. An hour and a half before the second one was started and so on for 2 1/2 hours. We asked and said they didn't have enough technicians and knew they were running this far behind. That would have been good to know when we got there. They would walk away mid sentence while we were talking to them to find out what was going on. While waiting we helped fold their towels, restocked towels on the bathroom when they were out. We asked for water after about an hour waiting. They skimped on our services, cut short our massages. This was not professional or relaxing in any way. Beyond frustrated! Won't be back. read more

I am very pleased with my first visit to this place. I am a pedicure snob, hands down. The pedicure was honestly the best I've had in years. I get pedicures for the relaxation, and the pretty feet is a bonus for me. I got the royal spa pedicure. The leg and foot massage was long and done well. I usually get sad when that part ends so quickly, but this time I was fully satisfied. Also, my toe nails are perfectly polished. The polish goes all the way up to the cuticle, so it won't look grown out as fast. My heels are also pretty and soft. The only drawback I found was the chair I sat in did not massage well. First time here. I told my nail tech that I only had an hour, so if I couldn't get my toes done too, it was fine. She said she could do my nails and toes within an hour..... It took her 2 hours... And I haven't been this unhappy with a salon in a long time. I got gel on my nails and toes. She filed my actual nail down so much that it started burning and turning red, with 3 of my nails. I was missing some skin on the tips of 2 fingers from her drilling. It was so painful I started sweating.. She didn't seal the edges, so dirt gets in between my nail and the gel polish. It's gross. I get gel on my toes so it'll last longer, and after 2 weeks, the polish peeled off completely on one of my toes, and that never happens.... Really disappointed with this place. Oh, and I stupidly tipped her, bringing my total to $94. It was almost $80 for really poor work. Wouldn't recommend, and won't be going back. read more

I used to come here all the time and the service was great- not anymore. They have a young girl who cuts corners and doesn't do a good job. I had a peni and mani and didn't even receive the full pedi leg massage like my friend did. The nail polish was not applied correctly and had to even get a different person to correct this girls work. Bad experience. I just recently started coming here when my regular place closed. This nail salon has a very large room so they can accommodate many people. Because of this they do have many people working there so usually there isn't a wait. They also have a couple of kids chairs. The pedicure includes a hot towel wrap at the end which is very refreshing. They also offer waxing. read more

I have to add to this review. I went 2 weeks ago for a pedicure and decided to also get nail tips. Bad decision! The pedicure chipped the next day and the nail tips began to show ridges and were coming up. I called in and told the owner who said come back. I was out of town so I took pictures to show them. When I came in he looked at them and didn't say anything. I asked "is this a good job in your opinion?" Silence. I requested them removed which lead to them trying to convince me that the the nails would take long to remove. At this point I was amazed that I was still calm. The owner removed them and did a basic manicure and then did my pedicure. He knows how to do nails and should work with his staff. I will return for a pedicure only and with Mya only. Avoid Amy. Mya's pedicure polish lasted until I returned and met up with Amy. To the salons credit there was no charge and no chatter in Asian while I was in there. read more

Have been a couple times for a mani-pedi but now won't be back. Waited nearly an hour for a simple manicure and saw at least two people who arrived after me get service while I waited. I was acknowledged at arrival but then never again. I ended up walking out. The nail tech was very nice. I enjoyed talking to her but my manicure and pedicure wasn't that great. The appearance of the salon is very nice and they use great products but I wasn't pleased with the finished product. It's too expensive not to be perfect! The first time I went there was bad. I got a full set and pedi. The pedi wasn't bad but the full set was awful. They had a weird shape to them and the polish was rushed. She even left as soon as she finished and left me at her station to dry. While another tech through a fit and was telling and packed her stuff up and quit. I went back a second time to get a fill and the same lady that did it the first time even say how bad it was.. she was the one that did it! So I went a third time.. and it was awful again. While I was getting my pedi someone took my color.. they put the the wrong color then argued with me about what color.. then charged me $90 for a mani and fill.. let's say I found a new place and will not be going back.. Having an appointment means almost nothing to this business. My sister and I had appointments-- one mani and one pedi--for 3:30 pm on Sunday. When I arrived, I informed the owner of our appointments. She nodded, but did nothing. I picked out my polish color and waited for my sister to arrive. When she arrived, all techs were busy, no one was sitting at the reception desk, and the owner just kept looking over at us without actually coming to help us. We asked one of the techs for help, she shouted across the room to the owner, and still nothing happened. We waited more. When the owner finally acknowledged us, she told us that, yes, she knew about our appointments, but they had gotten busy since we made our appointments. She informed us there were now 6 people who were to be helped before us. I was stunned and asked her whether she intended to honor our appointment or not. She finally said she would, but she tried to only seat one of us for services. I reminded her there were 2 appointments, so she sat us both. We waited 25 minutes past our appointment time before we were helped. We almost walked out. read more

Went in for a manicure and a man who didn't understand English did it. I told him I wanted rounded nails, he said ok but made them all very pointed, different lengths, just a horrible mess. The polish only stayed on a few days before it started chipping. Also the man who didn't understand English begged me to let him do a pedicure after the manicure was finished.
