Friendly- not the cleanest- My daughter's nails came out beautiful . Mine on the other hand, are lumpy bumpy and just not it. The lady's hand was shaking. Hope she's ok. I won't be back to her. I'll go to the other lady who did my daughter's. Hers came out amazing. Mine have literal bubbles and bumps. Thank you for your response. I don't have much time off so I'll see you for my next one.

Horrible service, it's such a shame too because I've always had great experiences here. I made an appointment 2 weeks in advance all for them to rush our appointment and do such a bad job. The older man that did my nails didn't even want to do enough coats to make the color show, my nails came out all bumpy and misshapen. My sister wasn't happy at all with her nails either for the same reasons! I'm never going back because I'm so disappointed, even after telling them how I was getting my nails done for my Hawaii trip. All they cared about were the girls getting acrylics done.

Hi Jenny, How is that a valid response from everything I mentioned? To be clear, there was no polish change. It's evident that you don't care about the horrible experience that I had at your salon. There is no apology nor accountability in your response. I was left with multiple cuts and I did not see the nail tech take any sanitary precautions. Your response or lack there of is concerning.

This nail tech will mess up your nails and tell you if you don't like it go somewhere else.

The manager's reply to my review above further demonstrates the poor experience. You dropped what you were doing and never ever asked what was the conversation that led to him saying that, although I directly told you what he said. Your response was "well what do you want me to do." No suggestion, no forward thought, it was impatient "get to the point" energy. Further, the owner (having not spoke to the nail tech whatsoever) made excuses for why he did what he did, saying he did it to make my other nails even when none of those nails were close to that length. You defended his poor behavior with further poor behavior. My review stands that there are better shops to go to in this area, specifically where no one basically tells you to get out when they made a horrendous avoidable mistake. No accountability from leadership as you continue to make excuses for a poor experience in your place of business. I had to put fake nails on, which I never ever wear. And as you "fixed" his mistake, you passive aggressively tried to educate me about my nails as if I'm not a 38 year old woman who has been getting my nails done since I was a teenager. You eavesdropped on a conversation I was having with my cousin about Gel Builder and used that convo to seemingly blame me and deflect your employee filing away all of my natural nails rather than just accept total responsibility. You're loud and wrong, with employee that lacks the emotional and professional maturity to handle criticism of his work. I didn't cause any problems in your shop, I told you what the issues were and you agreed to fix them, blaming the person who wasn't holding a nail file shows that the owner lacks the same professional maturity. And then they charged me full price for the work. Watch your cameras before you blindly spew out responses to protect your Yelp image.

It looks clean, that why I gave it one star and I did go back to fix my fingernails so another star because they fixed her mistakes. The lady was super tough with my hands, terrible job overall, wanted to charge me extra for the basics stuff the were included. Thankfully I read their price page and I told her it's Included. They used a chemical that made my hands/nails burn to remove gel. No massage not even a rub of hands or feet. She but my nails terrible they are super sharp. I had to come to Sally's to pick up manicure kit to fix her job. And because I don't like to be a Karen I paid $50 no tip.

Finally my turn after waiting 30 mins even though I had an apt

I made an appointment for 6pm. It's 6:20pm and I'm writing this review for something to do because I am bored and tired of waiting. I feel disrespected when people waste my time. At Nail Studio by Andrew, my time has been wasted despite making an appointment a week in advance. What's the point of appointments if you're going to treat customers like they just walked in? Don't make appointments if you cannot honor them. My appointment was only for a pedicure. Anyone who disrespects my time in the way that this place has does not deserve my business. I do not recommend this place and I am never coming back here again. They haven't even checked in on me to update me if it's almost my turn or not. I'd expect them to let me know how much longer I need to wait, but since sitting me at the pedicure chair, no one has said anything and I've been waiting for 26 minutes now. I'm lying. I've been waiting for 36 minutes because I arrived 10 minutes early. If you're on time, you're late. When it was finally my turn, after waiting 30 mins, the nail tech did say, "thank you for waiting". Unfortunately, the damage was done and I will not be tipping, for I do not want to reinforce this type of disrespect.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I went here because my son's daycare teacher recommended a certain person for a pedicure and I was like ok and tried them. The first time I enjoyed my pedicure and so much I made a second appointment. Now the second time is what really rubbed me the wrong way. I ended up having to get a full set because I was going to a concert and didn't have time to do my press on's so my appointment was on Thursday and I went in showed her the pic of my nails and asked if they could do the design and added the full set to my appointment. She said yes and mad my appointment at 9:30 am instead of 11 and I was like ok that's fine. So I go to the appointment I get my nails and pedicure done, I have an overlay on my two big twos and I usually just let them grow out and just get regular pedicures, the lady who did my pedicure says she did a fill on my toes and I'm like I didn't ask for that because I didn't need it, now to the owners credit she took off the charge but I was turn off by the overcharge and trying to get paid for a service that was not asked of you at all. Now my nails were fine until later Thursday 6/20/24 the same day I got my nails done my right middle finger nail came off. I was going out of town and just said oh well I will get it fixed when I get to where I'm going. So I get my nail fixed Friday and I just carry than later that day my right pointer finger nails comes off. I'm like this is but much that I look at my had and most of my nails are lifting. At this point I'm really upset don't have time to go to another shop and my nail look horrible. So I get back in town on Monday and came up there to get my refund and forgot they were closed. So I have to come today 6/25/24 and last night another nail came off and pissed me off even more because here we are at 4 days and I have last 4 nails and the rest are lifting minus the one I got fixed. So I go in there and all I want is a refund, my nails were ruined for my event out of town and on top of that I don't trust their work. I feel and told them it's very unprofessional to do sloppy and horrible work and refuse my money back and only tell me they can fix it. I don't want it fixed I want my money back! It would be one thing if I had some chipped polish or 1 nail lifted, but FOUR?! nails and the rest are lifting within three days of getting them done is beyond unacceptable!

I have read people's reviews who gave 1 star for this nail shop and I couldn't agree with them more. This place is only 0.5 mi away from my house and was recommended to me by my sister. My usual nail tech from another nail shop was on vacation and I needed to have my pedicure done ASAP coz of an ingrown toenail that bothered me a lot, but I also decided to have my manicure done since it was also due. I came as a walk-in customer and the lady who was seating right by the entrance was the one who worked on my manicure. I didn't get to know her name because she already projected a negative vibe on me. She started working on my nails and just basically removed the previous gel nail polish and RUSHED the "cleaning" of my nail. She barely cleaned my nail beds and didn't thoroughly trimmed my cuticles. She didn't take her time at all and after that, she told me wash my hands and then go to one of the pedicure chairs. She didn't complete my manicure and told me that "it'll be done later". I went to the pedicure chair and Moon worked on my pedicure. As she prepped my feet, someone else (she was sitting next to the one who started working on my manicure) came to me and said she'll finish my manicure. I thought that was odd... She was STANDING when she worked on my nails and did another RUSHED job. The polish was unevenly coated on most of my nails. Meanwhile, the tech who was working on my toenails is a better staff - she's friendly and took a little more time on my toenails especially on removing the ingrown toenail that bothered and hurt me for a couple of weeks. She was doing a good job until she NICKED the skin of my left great toe and a little bit from the right great toe! I didn't think of it much since it initially hurt just a bit... But 2 days later, my left great toe is still in pain and the area that was nicked has gotten infected. The area of the cut is red and painful to touch! I'm still trying to mend the wound as I write this review! I do not recommend this place at all. Yes, their regular customers are much more FAVORED than the new ones! I noticed that too! Take a look at the photos I attached with my review and you'll see the rushed job they did on my manicure! I paid nearly $100 (services and tips) on their crappy work! I'll never be coming back to this place!!!

Great experience! I got the last parking spot in an apparently busy lot, then got swept into an oasis when I entered the doors. It's a smaller salon, decorated perfectly to enhance the "spa-me" experience. I sat in chairs, mid-salon, until someone became free to do my pedi. Apparently South Carson is in need of a nail salon, as walk-ins wait exorbitant times after those who've made appointments. Once seated in a ped-chair, my experience began. She took good care of my feet. Soak, nails, cuticle, callous removal...Painting could have been smoother. I'd return again--if for nothing but the convenience! Next time though, by appointment!

Ugh, I've been here 3 times now and each time they impressed me! I always call ahead and try to book an appointment with either Andrew or Mindy. Both of them alwayssssss deliver. Here are the pictures I took of my nails. (Forgot to take a picture of one of the sets I had but still just as good ) Will definitely keep coming back.

I'm going to say that I do love this place, it's perfect! It's right next to my job which makes it extremely convenient to go here. It's a couple dollars more compared to the local salons, and wait can be long, but it's clean and neat and quiet which I can appreciate. I don't think they've figured that out yet, cause they're fairly new. They do such a great job! read more

My girl had a panic attack because her nail broke and the usual nail shop she goes to couldn't take her until the end of the week. So I'm pretty sure you know how my life went and so I decided to take matters in my hand and assist her in finding a nail shop and here we are. She is getting her nails done by Mindy who is taking care of her nails and she is super nice and sweet. She did an amazing job. I was very pleased with my visit to Nail Studio by Andrew last night. I was desperate for a nail tech in Carson and came across Andrew's. I called to make an appointment and was accommodated for a 6:30pm appointment. I was nervous as they close at 7:00pm. I thought my service would be rushed. I was seated at 6:30pm and the staff all stayed past closing time to accommodate all clients in the shop, myself included. I have been growing out my nails but unfortunately, two broke. I was devastated! I asked the nail tech if I could avoid cutting the other 8 nails short to match. She reassured me and once she removed my previous nail work, Andrew stepped in to adhere tips to my broken nails. I'm assuming she wasn't as experienced with this, but he was very patient with her and explained everything to her as he went. This spoke volumes to his character! I was very impressed. I am always very observant regarding an owner's relationship with employees and I was very pleased! I will definitely be returning. read more

This place is really nice, new and clean. I have been here twice and the first experience was good. Andrew was nice and friendly. I can see that some of his old customers followed him. I was really getting hopeful, as I've been wanting to find a good spot I can go to regularly. As I was getting a pedicure, one of his regulars came in and they were talking about a raffle. It was offered to her, but not to me & another customer next to me. Maybe because I'm new? I think that if they were offering a raffle, it should be for everyone and not just selected ones. Anyway no big deal, just thought it was somewhat weird. Second time I came in, I got another person. I didn't get her name but she asked if I wanted a gel manicure. I opted out as I'm giving my nails a break from it. I did get their pedicure with the scrub that really smells good which I also got the last time. She then said, "OK but regular manicure only last about 2 days" I mean, if she thinks that saying that is going to make me switch to gel, then she's wrong! I don't care if they don't last, but at least about a good 5 days to a week! Don't tell me 2 days just to push the gel on me! What does that say about the quality of ur work if it'll only last 2 days?? Anyway, I came out of there with this bubbly nail polish on my nails!! I came home and my husband was like, "you left there with those nails? You should've asked them to re-do that! It's ugly!" I was in a hurry since I already waited a while, so I didn't bother. Anyway, before I left, I saw them give the lady next to me a punch card for frequent customers that again, wasn't even mentioned to me. Funny but I'm still giving them 2 stars for being clean and new. Maybe I'll try again next time if I'm desperate haha! read more

Got a pedicure with my boyfriend with a same day appointment. Staff was super friendly and accommodating over the phone. The staff was even friendlier in person. The pedicures we received were so amazing that we both started to fall asleep in the chairs. The salon is beautiful on the inside and a week later my feet still feel extremely soft. We definitely found our new nail salon. read more

I've been going to Andrew for almost 5 years...I moved next to SF and still come down every month to get my nails done. Trust me I've been trying to find a better nail tech than Andrew....but I can't sadly. Andrew is such a funny dude. Always flexible with appts. His sister is so sweet. Not impressed. My pedicure looks good but the tech that did them seemed rush at 10:00 a.m. on a Tuesday, it wasn't even that busy.Same with my dip powder manicure which I'm not happy with either looking at them closely, and because she was in a rush I was cut (different tech) not cool. When I asked if she could put something on my cut she said that "It would mess up the whole set" although the cut was on my skin. So how would that mess up my nails? Whatever, I didn't feel like wasting my time talking to her. She didn't apologize either and had a death grip on my hands when doing my manicure. Antiseptic was later put on when I asked again to the male tech who finished my manicure. Not coming back here. read more

I visited the salon for the first time today and I was so pleased with Mindy and Julie Mindy did an exceptional job on my acrylic coffin nails and Julie on my pedicure I will definitely be coming here on a regular basis, especially since my husband gets a hair cut next door! Highly recommend! I have been going to Andrew for years recently went to his new beautiful shop and got my nails done they were beautiful like always. All his techs do a amazing job! Prices are VERY reasonable. Andrew & his team will never let you leave his studio unhappy... My sister and I had a great experience here. I called before we went, and were told there was no wait so we decided to go. The salon is super clean, well decorated, and everyone is nice. We got regular manicures (no gel) and were charged $10 (each). They did a great job and we were in and out in no time. They also do eyebrow threading, so I would definitely be willing to get my eyebrows done next time! Note: they just opened a month ago and their water was out today because of construction in the business next door so just call beforehand to be extra sure! read more

I came across this business from yelp noticing all the great reviews so I had to try this place out. I had taken a friend of mine from out of town to tag along for two pedicures. I calked about 3 hours ahead to see if I can make an appointment and they were able to do so without any hesitation! I had gotten there top pedicure option and added the CBD oil to make the experience even better. Both technicians did an amazing job and I thank you Nail Studio for providing the best service. Also I love the fact that they offer you a beverage while you're there and their interior taste for the salon! read more

Took my mother in-law on her birthday to get a full set, she was helped right away, I couldn't get mine done due to not having time on my end, but this salon left her feeling happy. She asked me to booked an appointment for the refill, they were honest on how they're booked in the morning and let me know the earliest she can be seen. It's been a long hectic 3 years of juggling school, work and the kids....and I haven't had the chance to pamper myself. With 4 hours to kill I decided to treat myself. Amazing. It's so cute in this nail salon, great setup. I walked in and they greeted me right away. They gave me a water bottle and turned on the massage chair. Their prices are very affordable. They were very careful and meticulous, making sure they asked me if I was okay with what they were doing to my nails. They used this exfoliating sugar scrub for my pedicure it was great; smelled great too (there were several choices). I'll include a picture of their hours. They also have a stamp card. Never did I think that I would find myself a to go to nail shop other then the one I usually go to. I was recommended by a friend who usually goes to this place. I was very hesitate in trying a new nail salon since I was just so use to always going to the previous nail salon. I just felt that the previous nail place was just to expensive. But anyways one morning before going to work I decided to try this nail place out which is much closer to me & let me tell you I was very surprised & very happy at the outcome of my nails. Mindy was the one who worked out on my nails and did them exactly how I wanted and I have very satisfied of the outcome & also the customer service was just so great! I'll be coming here from now on. My first time here today and I love the service! Mindy was the one who took care of me and what can I say? It was very exceptional! They've been open for 8 weeks but they are crazy busy! I recommend you make an appointment just so you don't have a long wait time. Their salon is beautiful! I also love how they use a sterilizer machine and when they open the pouches they actually have to open it (not like other salons where they re-use the pouch to make it seem like they sterilize it) that was a big plus for me! They also have a stamp card and if you pay with cash you get a raffle ticket *but I didn't really hear what the prize was when she told me :(* can't wait to come back! Thank you Mindy! read more

Love this place but it's getting harder and harder to get an appointment:/ I've been trying for weeks but every time I call they are booked for the day and I don't want to take my chances as a walk in as that is at least an hour wait usually. Hopefully it cools down after the holidays but for now I'm stuck with these undone nails:/ read more

I absolutely love the service. The atmosphere is calming and modern. The staff is very focused and detail oriented. They can do so many different types of nails, they have something to fit everyone's preference. They have television to watch with music in the background and the nails come out flawless. Our salon specializes in CBD treatments for our manicures and pedicures. Our CBD treatments focuses on your stress and muscle pains without any psychotropic effects. We are doing gel builder . it's a type of nail enhancement that's super popular right now! Builder gel is different from regular gel polish because it's thicker and more durable. I visited yelp... per usual... and found this place ( I dare not say the name again in fear of flashbacks) I'd given them a call to see if the accepted walk-ins and the woman I'd spoken with ,overall pleasant , asked me to come in at 2. She called me back a few minutes later and asked if I could come in at 4 instead. I told her that was fine and decided to grab some lunch... Now here comes the foolery ! I pull up to a Strip Mall type location were the parking would be considered risky. Not because of the neighborhood but because of pot holes, no clear parking lanes, and over width of parking lot . You could easily loose a bumper if your not careful. I walked in at exactly my appointment time and was admittedly greeted by name. I played " any, many ' miney, moe" with the seating based on the cleanliness and proceed to scope out the place. Did it need updates for sure but that wasn't a deterrent, I can't imagine how much it cost to replace something every time a client scrapes or nicks something . My concern was dust and dirt and the missing nail license( yes I look for those) the shop didn't quite meet my standards and I wasn't sure if it was because there is a lot of black and white in the salon or if they just didn't make cleaning a priority. After about 5 minutes of scanning the room , buzzing from the nail drill I look at my watch. Nothing... no one coming from the back, no plastic being added to the pedicure bowl or water being ran. 4:10 comes and the phone rings" I hear " ok, ok, how long?" And the phone hangs up. The nail tech turns to me and bodily says " your nail tech is in traffic, she said she'll be here in 30 minutes, ok? ." Some many things ran through my head in that moment... but all I could was say " that's not ok" walked out. What a big waste of my time and the boldness the request more time. So if you can look past the potential of car damages, cleanliness issues, and if you have unlimited time, this salon might contend for your business. As for me and my toes , no thanks ! One last thing- where did all those stars come from? There is no way that many people have little to no standards..N/M ... contend at your own risk

I've been coming to Pro Nails salon off and on for many years and it's difficult to tell which one…read moreI am reviewing, so I will review both noting what I feel are the key differences. The Sepulveda location has been around longer. I usually call and ask if Helen is available and usually I can get in quickly. I think each technician at the Sepulveda location has a different style. Helen opened up the PCH location and it was later sold to a different owner. I consider both locations about the same rating, but I like them for different reasons. I prefer Sepulveda location if I want white French tips, which I just went in for and they did a beautiful job. If I want them to use my own nail color I also go there. They have easy parking and easy to get in and out fast. The PCH location does not carry white tips, will not use polish that you bring in and parking can be a challenge. The PCH technicians all seem to turn out a similar nice result and they use more variety of small bit attachments on their tools. Small bits can get into tight spots and clean up under the nail better in my opinion. The PCH salon is better maintained with more spacious. I didn't touch on sanitation. That's something to ask about.

On Father's Day, I went here to get my first pedi/mani done. I was impressed with how modern and friendly everyone was. People who were long time customers of Andrew and walk-ins were talking to each other and laughing. It felt like the movie "Barber Shop". I had the mani and pedi with CBD oil and it helped with my feet pains and my arms were very relaxed. I would recommend this treatment who has sore muscles and aches. This is place is very clean and the hospitality and workmanship is out of this world. I did not even mind that I had to wait because like I said, we all were talking and having a good time. Visited this rare find in Carson on vacation. The shop is open, airy, clean, & elegant. I felt instantly welcomed as soon as I walked through their doors. I opted for the CBD pedicure.
