I also have to agree with other reviews. I only go here for my eyebrows. Joann is really good, so she usually has a very long line. I usually go to Tammy who does an awesome job. But I have gotten other girls over there years and I've had very few complaints. I've never had a really bad experience for mani/pedis, but I don't think it's worth the money. If you're looking for a nice relaxing spa pedi I would definitely go somewhere else. But if you just want something quick to get the job done, I guess they're ok for that. Definitely would give 5 stars for eyebrows though! read more

WORKERS HERE RACIALLY PROFILE: I wish I could give 0 stars. By far the worse experience I've had at a nail salon. I walked in and asked for a manicure and told them I didn't need any nail polish. Since I wasn't getting any nail polish, the tech said that I can get the children's manicure for $10. Midway through the manicure, I ask if there's a line for the pedicures and they tell me no, so I go get a pedicure after my manicure is over. I tell them I don't need anything special, just a regular pedicure without any polish. They proceed to charge me for the more expensive Spa Pedicure, even when I specially said I don't need anything else. When I asked how come I couldn't get charged for the children's pedicure, the tech gave a vague answer. My fiancé - a Afro-Latina woman - went to the nail salon 45 minutes prior and they told her that she has to pay in cash or Venmo. I went later on after dropping my fiancé off to run some errands, so they didn't know that I was with her. As I was checking out I overheard the nail tech offering to accept credit cards from white people - she didn't give my fiancé that same offer, and it wasn't until they noticed that I overheard them that the offered to met me pay via credit card - after I had already paid via Venmo. read more

couple days after getting a full set, started getting oil-filled bumps on each finger. The lady who did my pedicure used tools out of a bucket and was dropping tools in the water. Was very unprofessional. Place needs to be shut down , equipment is dirty. I highly don't recommend to anyone. read more

I just moved to the area and wanted to give this place a try. Honestly it was the worst experience. I could tell by the way she was filing that she was super inexperienced and I wanted to leave when she started to paint. I'm leaving w glue all over my fingers and paint on my cuticles and no paint on the side of my bails. I will not be back. I have had my eyebrows done here for years. Joanne is the best in the area, and the others who fill in from time to time are wonderful as well. The price is around what you'd pay anywhere else. For eyebrows, I give this place 5 stars. Now, for nails, this place gets 1 star. I swore I'd never get my nails done here because their adherence to sanitation regulations seems questionable. That said, I stupidly stopped in for a manicure yesterday, because I was desperate, and it was convenient to my other errands. After a VERY hurried and haphazard manicure, I am still not convinced that they properly sanitize their instruments. In addition to this, the nail polish was applied right after the manicurist slathered my hands with lotion. (Everybody knows polish should be applied to clean, oil-free nails.) The paint job was such a mess and so goopily applied that I removed it already this morning. Bad, bad, bad! I also didn't appreciate how the manicurist tried to talk me into a pedicure and an eyebrow wax while I was trying to relax and enjoy my crappy manicure. read more

I don't know why or how my review keeps getting deleted but, here we go again!! For many years I went to Magic Nails to get my eyebrows done. Joanne was the only one I let do them. On valentine's day 2015, I stopped in,after not having gone for quite some time, because I was in the area. They told me Joanne was no longer there, so because I didn't feel like going anywhere else, I just waited my turn and got them done anyway. I SHOULD HAVE LEFT!!! That was the start of my nightmare! Hours after leaving my eyebrows were still red and swollen, I didn't think much about it but I ended up with an awful headache that night as well. When I woke up in the morning, my eyebrows, in between eyebrows and forehead was completely red and my head hurt so bad I could barely lift it. I thought maybe I had an allergic reaction and took some Benedryl and some motrin for the pain. The day after I woke up with welt like bumps closest to my right eyebrow, I figured, damn, let me take MORE benedryl and went on my day with yet another day of headache. Now we are on day 5, my headache has not gone away and is getting worse and now the welts in between my brows have joined together to form an egg that is now protruding from my forehead!! It was time to go to ER. The doc who saw me was quite confused and was unsure of what it could be so she gave me some meds for the pain in my head and some prednisone to bring down the swelling. So I went home and stayed in bed rest of day. Next morning I woke up and all hell had broke loose!! I looked like Quasimodo!! My right eye was completely swollen shut, my entire face was swollen and sometime over night an alien must have erupted from between my eyebrows because the egg had now become open sores!! So I called my doctor and was seen by her where she immediately sent me to the ER. Once at the ER, they took one look at me and I was admitted instantly and started on heavy IV antibiotics and pain meds. Apparently I had caught a bad bacterial infection from the waxing!! I was hospitalized for 5 days and sent home on a 3 week supply of antibiotics. Please feel free to see the pictures I have posted from beginning to end. I sued the business and because they use fake names, I have been unable to collect my money. I thought this couldn't happen to me because, you know, I went there for so long and it hadn't happened yet right??!! Anyway, these people are despicable, low lives! They use false name like Tammy Tran and Ken Nguyen so that you can't sue them. While you are suffering and left to pick up the pieces, they are living great, touring Asia, vacations to Texas, Florida etc...They don't give a shit about us! They abuse the system and get away with it!! read more

WORST BASIC MANICURE ANYONE could ever possibly receive. This place would get no stars at all for manicures if I could write a review without having to post one. I come here regularly enough for my eyebrows, for years. I decided to get a manicure, despite my inner voice telling me, "don't do it", and two weeks later I still regret it. Rather than just use a buffer to buff my nails, after trimming the cuticles, the man used the power tool used to sand down the nails before applying the acrylic or gel nails. I cringed at this at first, but thought,"maybe it's healthy for my nails", and shrugged it off. While I patiently waited to have my brows done, I was treated very rudely by impatient ignorant customers that talked around me to other clients rather than speak to me about who was next. The brow guru quickly regulated the rude individual, thankfully. While checking my nails to try, I saw that the polish became bubbly and I really wanted to have them reapply the polish, but I was in a hurry after waiting so long to have my brows done, that I left without tipping. Justified, I felt, but even more so when I went to take off the nail polish myself at home. It was as though the polish was glue and took me forever to remove! They used an old, gluey, blue polish in my natural nails. This place completely hacked-up my healthy nails! I'm still trying to get to gross polish removed from my cuticle area where the man sanded them down with the tool. I will never go to this place ever again for a manicure, and it really makes me want to find a new place to have my brows done at, too. Worst experience ever. read more

This place is horrible. I went to get a normal $25 acrylic full set with a French manicure paint job ($5 extra). I noticed the lady doing my nails was not filing my actual nail enough but said they would not break after I showed concern. They looked ok when I left. No more than 24 hours they all popped off as if I had the cheap press on nails from the pharmacy. When I called to speak with the owner she would not provide a refund but I was to come back and talk to the lady that did my nails when she was scheduled to come in again (a week later almost). I found out this place rents their seats out to random people who say they do nails. This is not how it was run in the past or have I come across a place that does this. I would have to agree with the other reviewer, for eyebrows this is the place to go. For nails however it's hit or miss depending on the tech that you get and or how busy the place is, but even my best manicure here wasn't great...just acceptable. The cleanliness of the spot is also not good and I found employees smoking out the back door ruined my pedicure as i was forced to smell their smoke. read more

If I could give​ this place a zero a would. I just​ got​t back after​ almost two hours of sitting there. No one greeted or talked to my friend and I for about a half an hour and another customer waiting told us to take a seat. When I tried to ask an employee a question as she walked right in front​ of me, she went and hid in the backroom for twenty minutes. You've got to try this place. Very nice salon with exceptional customer service. I was greeted right when I walked in. I get eye brow done and they come out so perfect. Also I did a gel manicure and a pedicure. My nails came out great! and lasted for over two weeks. I would highly recommend this place to all of my friends. read more
