She was too busy talking to others and not really paying attention to my nails. Place of business her family had a small child paying attention to laughing! I came from another city to Jerusalem to what was shown online as a luxurious mani- pedi salon.There were beautiful pictures and solid reviews. When Libi at Nail Queen answered to schedule me I checked the address and was told another one on Yochanan Horkenus 9 as they had moved. I arrived there by taxi to discover a tiny, run down place. The equipment station was filthy. They blamed dust from construction nearby. Couldn't they have thought of covering their materials? Loose nail implements did not appear sterilized but were just hanging on the edge of a basket containing other gross- looking supplies. I complained but was told the technician was excellent. I sat down and she began to remove my previous gel manicure. She hurt me TWICE with the electric removal tool. I decided to leave as this was going to be hell. I'm now at another place, fortunately. I advise people to stay away from this one. I promise you will regret it unless you have VERY LOW standards and enjoy pain being inflicted. It seems that the original Nail Queen did not mention relocating and the huge change for the worse or perhaps it was sold and the new owners are both negligent and dishonest with completely false advertising. read more

This is for visit on 6/6/22. I thought long before leaving this review. I always leave a great review with photos of my beautiful nails! I truly enjoy getting my nails done at Nail Queen, I really enjoy the ladies and the laughter. My visits ranges from $52 to $110 and I'm always satisfied with the service. However on this particular day, which was my last I was discussing leaving reviews and Kim said, you didn't mention my name. I showed her the photo where I in-fact I did mention her name on the photo when she did my nails. Her reply was - oh you did it in black and I couldn't see it on your black skin! See photo because clearly you see her name and my skin is not black. Very racist comment! Now, I was surprised and not happy with her comment. She kept telling me that my skin is black and I said no, it is brown. Then she asked what do I check on forms as far as Race! I explained that it usually says African American and I check that, but when it says black for Race - I leave the box unchecked or write brown. Now I'm sure you gathered that I'm a woman of color. The joking of my skin tone calling it black was a true insult and is the first time I've had someone say that to me. Then she called it anchovy or black olive, again an insult. I corrected that quickly by saying my skin color is brown, not black or anything else! At this point, the entire nail shop was involved with this conversation that left me embarrassed, hurt and feeling the need to defend my skin tone, which is ridiculous. My point of this review is to say, just because someone jokes and laugh with you does not give you the right to insult them. This situation could have turn out completely different if it had happened to someone else. Respect your customer is all I'm saying! Never experienced that before! read more

Kathy has done them the last 2 visits, she helps me find the right thickness so I don't break them when gardening, I did it the first time and never since. She's helped me choose colors even lol. OVERPRICED/UNPROFESSIONAL/POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE I visited this establishment a couple of days ago, to get a quick pedicure, before my event. All was going well the their basic pedi was $24.00 which was fine, they asked did I want a callous remover as well (I found interesting because that's normally included in a basic pedicure). I got gel on my toes because it last longer. Here is where my issue begins. I have been getting my nails done for years at various diff places ($-$$$) and the prices list doesn't vary to much. So because there was no price list, or a list of what services they offer, anywhere to be found, being in a hurry and nothing else open I relied on the experience I have, I knew that a gel should not cost more than $10. I go to check out and imagine my surprise when my basic pedicure went from, $24 to $46! The pedicure was BASIC and DEFINITELY not on a $46 level, The establishment itself was not on a $$ as stated on their description. I inquired as to why this basic pedi jumped from $24 to $46. And she went on to explain poorly that the callous remover (which should have been included in the basic pedicure) was $4.00 and the GEL was $18.00. $18 for a gel that is absolutely ridiculous. I then go to explain calmly how ridiculous and exorbitant $18 for a gel is. Know the facts before you go. To Mangement: -Make some changes if your going to charge these prices. -Actually live up to your $$ -Clean -Post what services you offer -Improve on your customer service -Have a level of professionalism in how you dress, treat your customers and keep your establishment read more

I visited this salon after having a horrible experience at another salon. Julie greeted me as soon as I walked in and listened as I shared my bad experience with her. I asked if they could help me and she said yes and then proceeded to help me choose a color for my SNS and my toenail color. Johnny did my SNS and was amazing from start to finish. I told him my nails were very brittle due to a recent bad experience at another salon. He was VERY gentle throughout the process and so kind to me. He did a fantastic job with my SNS, despite the fact that my nails were very short. The woman who did my pedicure was also great. I will be going back to Nail Queen! read more

One of the worst nail salons, if not the worst, I have ever been to. Upon arriving I was not greeted and rushed to pick a nail color. I had on acrylic nails on my hands & gel on my toes. The lady who removed my acrylic from my fingers (one of the owners/managers) literally ripped off the acrylic without soaking them first, leaving my actual nails completely destroyed and even made a few of my nails bleed from the actual nail being ripped off. The dude removing the gel from my toes had no idea what he was doing and was literally scraping my toes so aggressively to get the gel off (without soaking first) that he removed my entire pinky toe nail to the cuticle. My toe was bleeding a lot at this point and even after telling him to leave it alone, he proceeded to apply random products to it, making it only bleed more or sting. The manager even threw on a brown powder to my toe without telling me what is was (apparently it was an antiseptic). After asking the manager to have someone else finish my toes, she still charged me for the full set and did not even apologize for her employee ruining my toes. The dude who did my nails did apologize but only for my "bad experience" and not for his mistakes!! The managers are obnoxiously loud, rude, and impatient. I waited a week to post this review for a couple of reasons. I didn't want to post out of frustration and sound like a bashing session, but hopefully offer a bit of constructive feedback. I will not mention names for the same reason. I was referred to Nail Queen by my hair stylist who told me to ask for her nail tech. I did just that but she was off that day. I stayed because I was impressed by the warm reception and the organization of the staff. I asked for an SNS & a Pedicure. The nail tech that worked on my SNS was the only tech not dressed like the others with their white covers. Her technique for removing my SNS was a bit rough (different) than what I'm used too. I noticed several people who came in after me requesting the same service had come and gone. By the time she finished my nails had a very thick layer (unnatural) although I requested that it not be too thick. She then noticed I had quite a bit of gel around the skin of my fingers and all over my hands. She proceeded to use a drill on my skin to get it off ... the rest I peeled off at home. After letting them dry she instructed me that I was done and to go wash them. While washing them I noticed a few of my nails had a sticky residue on them...I'm guessing the top coat. I showed them to another tech because I could not find my tech. The apparently more seasoned tech told me she did them wrong and that she had a different technique than the rest of the techs. The seasoned tech called her over and showed her what was wrong and began to help her re-do the last layer of the nails that were messed up. While sitting there the seasoned tech came over on my side to inspect but accidentally stepped on my not-dry pedi. She was very apologetic and the whole shop including myself got a laugh out of the unbelievable events happening to me. She and the pedi tech tried to fix the design on the toe that was messed up. Although I did not like the "fix" I succumbed because I was ready to go. It had already been over 2 hours. I went to checkout thinking surely she'd offer a discount or something but that was not the case. I paid $75 (which included a decent tip because I don't believe in not tipping). I'm thinking management couldn't have been on site that day because surely something would have been done to compensate. I'm also shocked that when a new client comes in as a referral asking for a specific tech...you wouldn't get one of the better techs to work on them if who they asked for wasn't available. Referrals are the life of a business. I'd love to hear back from management on this issue. read more

Unprofessional. Unsanitary. Cross contamination. I used to be impressed by this business but they unfortunately have become to relaxed and to lenient on protocol. My technician had the jar of lotion and took his gloved hands to retrieve lotion out of the jar and massaged my legs and went back into the jar with the same dirty gloves 4-6 times. Several other things happened during my visit. I will not return. read more

I came in today without an appointment and the salon was bustling with life! I was seated, and right away two people came to work on my mani-pedi. The manicure was great, but the pedicure was awesome! Khari gave me the BEST pedicure I've had in years! He was attentive to detail, professional and actually massaged my legs. Yes, when you get a pedicure anywhere, they are supposed to massage your legs.... but usually it's disappointing. As a teacher, I'm on my feet ALL day. Khari massaged my feet and legs and released all of my stress and muscle tension. I HIGHLY recommend requesting Khari for your next pedicure! read more

NAIL QUEEN IS TERRIBLE AND SOOO OVERPRICED ITS RIDICULOUS!! I dont see how they still have customers! I came in for SNS and paid fifty dollars just to have the majority of my nails fall off within a week. I went to my usual nail place to get these nails off and they told me that whoever did them last did a horrible job and they were genuinely shocked that I didn't get an infection under my nails. I don't usually review nail places but felt the need today. At Nail Queen today, I asked for a fill-in with regular polish.(acrylic) What I got were all the nails on my left hand filed crookedly and when they put clear gel on my nails, I told them I didn't want gel and they said they do clear gel on all nails. I should have asked how much the fill in would be at that point but (my bad) I didn't. When I got up to pay for my fill in (regular color not french) I was charged $29! I've never paid that much. ever. On top of that, they were rude and very rushed. You will not be pampered here! I can go to MCNail and pay $15 for the same service. read more

I went in at noon and had a pedicure which was nice, then I had my nails done and all of my nails were very un even. I understand a little bit, but she didn't even check to see if they were. I felt rushed and she was very tough on my hands. Also she got up 5 different times to give a co-worker, money, answer the phone, handle other things.. I know things happen on a busy day but I wouldn't be complaining if my nails looked good. The women there are also very rude to the younger "interns" and yell at them.
