I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! My French tip no chip mani last 4 weeks. Only downside is that it takes twice the time to take it off. Great customer service and staff. Tips: call ahead to make sure they are not booked. Recommend going on a weekday. read more

I have been coming to Nail Junkie for the last year or so and have always felt safe and taken care of, both pre and during COVID times. Everyone is super attentive, kind and courteous, and cleanly - something obviously more important than ever these days. Everyone I have had the pleasure of working with has done great work with no-chips lasting upwards of three weeks. I highly recommend Nail Junkie and will continue to visit! read more

Nail Monet is the absolute best. I have been coming here for over 8 years. Zula and her staff give the best manicures and pedicures out there. My No Chip always lasts and looks shiny after two weeks. The staff are professional, very clean, kind and caring. The prices are also very affordable. I highly recommend Nail Monet and think it is the best place to get a mani/pedi in Chicagoland. read more

I really, really hate to have to lower my rating of this place because it's been my go-to for so long. I drive over an hour just to get my no-chip by Avka. I had a baby in December and since I live so far away, I haven't been able to come and get my nails done. I called in two weeks ago to make an appointment with Avka. He doesn't do no-chips anymore. He will actually only do fill-ins since he's so busy. I hesitated to make an appointment because every other time I've gotten my nails done there and it wasn't with Avka, it was a bad experience. And this time was no different. I got a no chip 5 days ago and the polish is up and peeling on every single nail. And one of my fingers is swollen, painful, red, hot to the touch and draining pus. I'm sad to say I probably won't be back unless Avka starts doing no chips again. read more

I recently moved from Ravenswood and was a pretty regular client there so was thrilled they had another location near my new home. The work done here is impeccable! My no chip mani easily lasts a whole month and my regular pedi has held up for two months (sure it's not sandal season and I'm not out as much, but still) They're both still unchipped and in great condition. I'm coming in because I want to treat myself and a color change. Would highly recommend either nail junkie location! read more

Though I visit both nail junkie locations, this is the one I prefer. No matter who is working on my no-chip manicure or spa pedicure, it always comes out unflawed. Everyone is so accommodating and super clean/sterile with their utensils. The owner once did my no-chip manicure and it stayed on for 4 weeks! No one here rushes, every employee takes their time with each of their clients. This is my go-to place! read more

I've been to the Ravenswood location and the Belmont location and made appointments at least a week ahead of time. The last appointment I had was at the Belmont location. I got there a half hour early and was told that I could possibly be taken earlier. Nope, still had to wait the half hour and then some to start my appointment late. I had gel refills done since I loved how Avka did them the first time around. I wasn't as impressed with them this time around, unfortunately. I didn't feel like he paid much attention to what he was doing because it was him answering the phones and checking people out. When he was doing my nails, he was so distracted at some points that the nail file kept slipping on my cuticles, causing them to bleed a tiny bit and burn when some alcohol-based coats were applied to my nails afterwards. Despite making an appointment a week ahead of time, I still had to wait another 30 mins to get my spa pedicure started. As three more walk-ins came in, I just sat there while they came in after me and left before me. When my spa pedicure finally started, the girl made a big deal about how the color I picked out was going to be too sheer and that it would be like 5-6 coats to get the color I wanted. Wait, what? Why would you need to do that? We decided to just do a white coat and two coats of the color I chose. It looked perfectly fine that way! I have no idea why they kept pressuring me to choose a different color. If you knew that nail polish was going to require additional work for you, why even keep it out for customers to choose? It made absolutely no sense to me. I was eventually the very last person to leave the salon and I had actually made an appointment. Considering my prior experience, I don't think I'll be making an appointment here again. read more

Best place to get my nails done hands down! I love it and they do a great job. I don't go to any other place because the quality her is great. A regular manicure lasts over 1.5 weeks! read more

I have been going to Avka for a year and a half. I have never been loyal to a nail tech until him. I am a professional piano player and my nails have always chipped or broken. Avka told me to try no chip and also european gel. My nails have looked perfect since. They last a long time too. read more

So, after I posted my first review, shortly after I got a call from a number that I didn't recognize; it was Nail Junkie. Avka said he had read my review and wanted to apologize that my no chip manicure didn't last at least two weeks. He had said that the girl who worked on me had come from a different salon and was still getting used to everything (which is more than understandable because we've all been there, and even if it's the same type of work it takes a while to get used to a different environment and setting). He insisted I come back in so he could re-do them for free. Naturally, I felt bad because I know with certain places people can maybe just have an off day and it wasn't my intention to get anything free out of it. But, he insisted and booked me for an appointment earlier today. I'm so happy with how they turned out! Everyone was, again, so nice and friendly there. He was so thorough and really wanted to make sure that nothing would go wrong with my manicure. Their customer service is beyond amazing. When I tried to tip him, he didn't want to accept it, but of course I had to give him something! He did such an amazing job! And re-did my nails for free. This will be my new go-to nail salon :) Seriously, go here! read more

What I liked about this place was the variety of colors. I had a good experience the first time but when I scheduled a second appointment to do an ombré they told me they didn't do that. I wish I would of known that before I drove there to get my nails done right before an event. I was so unsure what to do after that so I ended up panicking picking something and didn't even like how my nails came out. read more

I've tried a bunch of nail salons and this is now my go-to. I love that I can easily and quickly make an appointment by messaging them through Facebook. The salon is bright and clean and has an autoclave inside so I feel confident about the sanitation of their instruments. The staff has always been very friendly and they always do a great job. I've been nicked at other places but never here, and the no-chip lives up to its name. They also have a great color selection. I highly recommend Nail Junkie! read more

Love the quality and time put into my nails. Avka is always so super meticulous. I am a hygiene nut and like the clean space and love that everything gets sterilized properly. I usually go every 10 days to change my no chip but sometimes when out of town, it still looks great after 3 weeks. Staff is friendly and efficient. Love this place. It's my 100% go to in Chicago. I have now come in twice and can say with certainty that I won't stop. I've only had gel nails and gel fills applied, but can honestly say I've never had a better manicure anywhere. Avka is the only gel artist there, so definitely plan on making an appointment ahead of time if you choose to get gel nails done. That said, he is the most meticulous, detailed, and attentive manicurist I've ever had. I had an idea in mind for the shape I wanted (casket), and he ensures each nail is proportionate by carefully matching each finger on one hand to the corresponding finger on the other. He's quiet but friendly, occasionally engaging you in conversation but mostly lets you relax, which I appreciate a ton. Though it's not the most convenient location for me to get to, I will continue coming here because it's by far the best in the city and Avka is awesome! read more

Overall I liked this place. I was a first time customer. I wasn't offered 10% off like some of the other reviewers mentioned, but whatever. I got a no-chip from one of the ladies there. I got them done on a friday night and at first glance they looked fine. As I inspected them today, though, I noticed all the imperfections. I was very disappointed in the lack of neatness around a few of my cuticles. I compared my nails with the pics here on yelp and mine were just not up to par. I couldn't live with them, so I called the next day and asked if they could fix them. I drove all the way back and Avka immediately went to work cleaning up and correcting my nails. They look awesome now. I can appreciate the customer service I received in that way and will, most likely, make another appointment with Avka in the future. read more

Hands down the best nail salon in Chicago. Sarah did my pedicure which was fabulous, not to mention the most comfortable massage chairs I've experienced yet. Avka then did the best No Chip manicure I've ever had in any city. He's as meticulous with his work as the salon is clean. Each set of tools came out of a sealed package which guaranteed cleanliness. Avka and the team at Nail Junkie are amazing. read more

They do am amazing job! I've had multiple people and they're all fantastic. My no chip manicures last 3-4 weeks and look amazing!

I've been to many different nail salons in the city and nail junkie on Belmont is by far my favorite! Everyone here is friendly and they do an amazing job! My nail polish lasts for 3 weeks when I get a no chip. If I do a regular mani, it will still last over a week and my regular pedicures can last a month. It's BYOB too so if you wanna bring something to sip on while they work, it's a great place for a girls afternoon! (They are great if you want a fun design too !) read more

This review is a couple days late, but these nails are holding up beautifully. My appointment started off well even before I got to the salon, as they were very responsive and accommodating of my schedule when I messaged them to schedule an appointment for a full gel set. The person who worked on my nails was very meticulous, and he asked me to provide him with a picture to make sure he got my preferences right (I asked for something that looked like a less dramatic version of ballerina-shape nails). My nails turned out perfectly - glossy and evenly shaped. I'm very happy with the result, and highly recommend this nail salon. They were pretty busy when I went on a Saturday (early afternoon), but it looked like they were able to accommodate a couple of walk-ins. I would still make an appointment before you go though. read more

This has to be one of the BEST nail salons i have been to. I took my mom today to get pampered for her birthday. We arrived about a half an hour early but they seated us right away. The decor is to die for. It is very modern and chic. We were offered beverages once we sat down. Telman did my no chip manicure and pedicure. There was a woman with black hair who did my moms. They are so cool. We laughed so much. This place is a tad bit pricey but i mean come on you get what you pay for. QUALITY work!! My mom and i will be back again!!! Really guys GO! :) read more

I was very upset with my recent visit here, I went here because they have the real gel nail (No Powder). So I called for two days and no one answered the phone so I looked at their website and it stated that walk ins are welcomed so I drove there (45 minutes). Once I got their it was 3 people getting serviced and a few nail technicians walking around. I asked to get a gel full set with no chip and a spa pedicure full set with no chip. The host told me to wait and she see if I could get in. She comes back and tell me that the guy doesn't accept new clients. I asked why? She didn't have an explanation. I was so angry with this place. So be prepared to get turned away. read more

I'm SO happy I found a nail salon that does great work near my house. This is the cleanest salon I've ever been in and better yet, they use freshly sterilized instruments for each customer. I've been to a million nail salons and had a million "fine" manicures and pedicures. I never really stuck with the same place because I rarely felt that strongly about the service I received or the quality of the work. Since I've been going to Nail Junkie, I've only rarely gone elsewhere (only when it's been unavoidable). The gel polish (no-chip) manicures I get here are done exceptionally well. They stay on, without chipping, for 2-4 weeks. By 4 weeks my nails are half grown out so I don't usually go that long, but it's amazing that they last that long if necessary. The line at the cuticle is clean and smooth, allowing my nails to still look good even when they're a little grown out. I also get pedicures here and they're always good. Nice attention to the nail shaping, good handling of my really ticklish feet, and clean, lasting polish job. I've watched a lot of guilty pleasure TV here. read more

I had been going to nail.com on Diversey for the last two years but my no chip manicures would always peel after two or three days so I finally stopped going. I am SO glad I found this place - both manicures I've had lasted for 1.5-2 weeks which is longer than I've EVER been able to keep color on my nails. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the room has a very welcoming, comfortable feel and the free drinks are a great perk as well! Hands down the best mani/pedi I've received anywhere. Anyone who lives in Roscoe Village knows there are a TON of nail salons but NONE of them compare to Nail Junkie! From the first time going in for a quick manicure to going back only days later for the best pedicure I was hooked. The salon itself is beautiful, with great decor. Avka the owner is an award winning artist for gel nails, but not the typical no-chip or gel nail we are use to here in the states. His gels literally last me 3.5 weeks and look like my natural nails. I tried the gels and will never go anywhere else. True talent. The whole staff is incredibly welcoming and meticulous with ones nails. A MUST try if you haven't already. read more

Avka is amazing! I wish I could give him 10 stars on the no-chip manicure he did for me 2 weeks ago. My friend Gaby and I ran into this salon and we're so glad we did. Avka takes his time and is precise in his work. Lately no-chip manicures haven't been lasting on me - I would maybe get a week out of a no-chip manicure since I wash my hands so much since I'm a nurse. Avka did an amazing job and I can't wait to come back. read more

I got my first no-chip manicure and it's PERFECT! My manicurist and I talked a little, which was nice. Also, they play really good music. How I Met Your Mother was playing on tv because they have Netflix hooked up to the tv! My only suggestion is that if you want full gel sets, call ahead because only one or two people do full sets at the salon (only one person was there doing the full sets and he was booked all day). Amazing atmosphere and very nice manicurists!! I 100% recommend this place! read more

It was a little bit of a bumpy ride to get to my beautiful no-chip manicure for my wedding - but the final product still turned out great! I went in the Wednesday before my wedding to get my mani/pedi. The pedicure was fantastic - everything turned out nice. When it came time to get my manicure, I showed the nail tech a picture of an ombré French manicure on Pinterest, asking her if she could replicate it. She said yes. As she continued, layer after layer of sponging, it became apparent that it was not going to turn out. My time was running short (I was there for two hours), as I had to pick up my wedding dress. I told her I was not satisfied with how it was turning out, and she offered to fix it the next morning. Take two - I asked for a simple French no-chip. It turned out wonderful! I later learned from the manager that the nail techs are not allowed to do ombré because it's tough to do well, and they don't have the proper sponges. I wish that would have been communicated upfront. However, the end result with my mani/pedi was still fantastic, and I'll be coming back again! Moral of the story: Don't ask for ombré...but everything else will be great! read more

Really decent pedicure. Unfortunately I stand on my feet all day and Need a little extra TLC. I opted for the spa pedicure and although it was soothing, my heels weren't up to the smoothness I prefer. I've been going to Avka for 2 years and have never been disappointed. His salon is very inviting, and his staff are friendly and attentive. Avka is the only true "European gel" nail manicurist that I know of in Chicago and surrounding area. So due to supply and demand, he may be booked a few weeks out or may wait a bit to accept new customers. Can't fault him for being the best in town! He's seriously is the best at what he does. Customers in his salon will drive 45mins to an Hour to go here. All his manicurist that do no chip (so I've heard since I only get gel) say his salon does the best no chip. It lasts the longest and doesn't ruin their nails. My gel nails always look amazing and last for 4 weeks! He offers 10% off your first visit and always complimentary refreshments! They are also good at helping you pick the best color for an occasion, your skin tone, or current trend. read more

I'm over Nail Junkie. I've given them so many chances because they are conveniently located by my house but my nails keep chipping within days of getting a no chip. I got them done on Saturday and they chipped on Wednesday. Completely unacceptable. They try and say come in and get them fixed. I'm a SAHM with a toddler. I'm not arranging childcare to get my nail fixed Their turnover is also crazy. Every time I find a nail tech who does a decent job, they leave. This has happened 5 times in the last few months. I called to schedule another appointment yesterday and asked the receptionist for Moogy and she told me she left. I asked for the most experienced tech the day I come in and she said "they are all good." I explained I've had some techs who are really bad and she was super snotty and hung up without saying goodbye. read more
