This place was close to my house so I decided to give it a try. They have a lot of employees eager and happy to help you. I loved Tiffany, the girl who did my nails. She was very meticulous with her work. While many salons just clear the dry skin superficially, she dug in deep and if she saw skin hanging when massaging my hands, she made sure to cut that off too. She also applied the nail polish very carefully. Two things I didn't like: some of the other employees who didn't have customers kept on hanging over her watching her work and a lot of their nail polishes looked pretty old. Will absolutely not be returning here after I was cut twice to the point of bleeding. One finger continuously bled throughout the service to the point where the tech put nail glue directly on the wound. This finger became swollen and infected the following day, and after giving the salon a call I was told to come in to resolve the issue. After taking time out of my day to do so, not even a partial refund was offered and all they did was put Neosporin on the infected wound, which I could've done at home. It was too late at that point since the infection had developed, and I had already been in pain throughout the day. I rarely get my nails done and was looking forward to my manicure but was instead extremely disappointed in the lack of hygiene and unprofessionalism at this salon. read more

I'm an avid nail client!!! I LOVE nail art!! I already have my own technician elsewhere, but my friend wanted to go to a salon in her own neighborhood (Annandale). And that turned out to be Nail Love. Do NOT go to Nail Love in Annandale!! I repeat, do NOT go to Nail Love in Annandale, Virginia! And especially if you're BLACK I'm sure!! My friend is black an was treated very, very poorly by the staff in this place. I was literally rubbing my eyes and disbelief at what I was witnessing. I do believe their treatment of her was racially motivated. First of all, the technician and even the owner were quite short to my friend. It was surprising. The technician was so rough doing her nails. I saw my friend wince in pain more than once. He did not care. He just continued handling her in a rough ad careless manner. Over the years, I have been to loads of salons to get my nails done and have never, ever witnessed such terrible treatment. When the man finished doing my friend's nails he just got up and walked away, leaving us sitting there. Dude, you're interacting with a human being, a woman-- not an animal. He didn't say, 'Oh, we're done.' He just walked away. We called out to him, 'Excuse me, excuse me,' over and over and he just ignored us. I truly couldn't believe it. I went in for a mani and a pedi. I love the massage feature of the pedi chairs. They do a wax cover of your hands at the end that drys and easily peels off (but was hard to get a picture of since both my hands were covered in wax...). They have a pretty good color selection -- I went with a nice purple for my toes. While I am not looking for a deep discussion or even a real conversation it would help if someone had been able to communicate with me. I was surprised at my total and I am not sure how it was reached. Because of this I think I will check out some other locations for a comparison both of service and totals. read more

My problem with this people is that they never listen. I understand English isn't everyone's first language but if we are all patient we can understand each other. When I tell them what I want they act like I am so much of a problem, from my experience if you get a customer requirement right then you will deliver without a problem. I came in today spent $108 and still got my nails done badly and I was treated like a peasant. I have attached photos below for proof, how does one work very hard and spend that much money trying to get a treat for themselves and end up with trash and being treated poorly and then they insult you in their language. If it was possible to give 0 stars I would. I had a young woman named Anna do my eyebrows and they turned out horrible. She gave me two completely different eyebrow shapes. One was full and straight while the other was thin and curved. She handed me a mirror and immediately walked away, so I didn't have the chance to tell her. When we spoke to someone else she told me If I wasn't happy I didn't have to pay. When going out I was told by Anna that I absolutely had to pay. When I refused she started yelling at me. I am getting compliments left and right about my nails and I am getting asked where I got my nails done. The nails were done alright, a 6 out of 10 i would say. However, i thought that the place was dirty. Will not go back there because i don't feel comfortable doing my nails in a place that lacks hygiene. Also, i didn't notice her using clean tools with me. She kept the tools in a small box, even those to cut the cuticle with, not in a disinfecting pouch like they keep those in all other places. I was thinking to myself that if she attempts to cut my cuticle with those tools, i'll just leave, because God knows how many people she used those tools with before me. If I was rating this on my fingernails- 5 stars. However my pedicure seemed kind of half assed and the paint job leaves something to be desired. The woman who did it appeared to be in training, as she observed my manicure. However! My finger nails look GREAT! I basically retract any other 4 it 5 star nail salon I've reviewed because the bar is now set higher thanks to Nail Love. The woman who did them periodically asked if I liked then so far, which I appreciate. I've had cheaper full sets, but you get what you pay for. (Mine were $45 plus $5 for French tip - I got glitter). I've been coming here for years. Over the past year the quality and service had gone steadily downhill. Today was the worst. I came in at noon. Nobody said that there would be a long wait. In fact i was seated and they put the cotton with remover on and I waited, as usual. Only this time the woman started a pedicure on another customer. 30 minutes later another woman came in and told me to move to her chair. When she took off the cotton, my old polish wasn't soft, and ready to remove, it had hardened back up because the acetone had sat so long it had evaporated. This woman wanted to start all over. I had already been sitting for 35 minutes. I said I had been there long enough already. She said that the first one didn't file the surface of my nails, but she had. The first one said I didn't wait long enough. The cotton was bone dry. I had waited too long. So, they were pointing fingers at each other and at me. I had to leave with scraped up, partially removed polish. And a wasted lunch break. I will never go back. read more

Today I visited Nail Love after a very long time of not going since my favorite tech left 8-9 months ago. As I walked in there was only one tech already working on a client , didn't greet me or anything so i proceeded to pick out my color . I sat down and she finally said someone will be with you soon, I asked her in how long , she said 15 mins she's coming, she then got up and called someone . 20/25 mins a lady walks in & proceeds to do my pedicure. As she grabs the nail Polish remover , someone had left the top loose so she immediately started screaming and sounded disgruntled in her language To the other tech . The other tech just smiled and shook her off. the lady getting her toes done looks at me and I just shrugged my shoulders and smiled. The tech wouldn't stop , she just kept going and going. So I put on my headphones as I am there to relax . She then taps me and starts talking to me and says , sorry she's late her husband was yelling at her and was very mean to her over some w2 & he was late to travel etc etc , I was nice enough to let her vent and then said it's okay , try not to let it bother you, but she just wanted to vent & kept on and even stabbed the top of my foot with the cuticle cutter . She apologized and I said its ok I'm not bleeding accidents happen. she continued painted my toes and tells me sit and let them dry 3 mins . She gets up removed the tub liner and guess spilled water on floor . She tells me come to my chair , for my mani, when I get up I almost fall due to the water on floor , I hadn't noticed she didn't clean it. When we are done with my hands she tells me move to the light , I told her I'm fine on the chair with the fans and she insists and insists I must move . mind u the room is only filled with two customers . so I said okay. As I grabbed on to the table to help myself get up she turns around not looking and taps my nails messing up two. This lady went off saying stuff again in her language but sounds mad and says to me ..."you need to pay attention " . I told her it was a simple accident between the both of us . She didn't care and kept being rude and said she is not fixing again it's not her job. I told her when you stabbed my foot and also almost fell because of your neglect I didn't get mad at you , I understand that things happen . When you tapped my polish and mess it up , now you're mad at me because you have to fix . No worries , I won't be a returning customer . The owner was there didn't correct her employee or even apologize to me , she acted as tho she didn't hear anything. Also prob because when I was getting my pedi she walked in and after not seeing me for 8/9 she sarcastically said "welcome back" then left her customer pulled our her phone and proceeded to show me 10 pics of her work and said why didn't you come back for so long after Ming left , I could've done your nails . I taught him and I have 100's of customers , do you not trust me . y'all I went to relax but it was a nightmare. On top of that all previous tech s are gone , they quit. And I think I now know why. And she couldn't tell me price of a mani and pedi she says it went up. Because everything is so expensive now . which I don't mind paying as long as the customer service is good but it's gone downhill. read more

I love coming here! They always do the best dipping powder sets and I get so much compliments at work. People always ask me where I get my acrylics done but it's my real nails! The dipping powder is very healthy and makes my nails thick and strong and then they finish it with gel top coat making it look super shiny. I get my nails done once a month it saves me lots of money and it just proves how long the nails last! Of course it looks out grown after 3 weeks but the nails still look perfect. The location is convenient, the salon is clean, the staff is very professional and courteous, the prices are very reasonable and competitive ... whatever services you need from a nail salon they have ... just go in and prove it for yourself. Nope! Who knows if they clean their tools, the lady brought out her tools in a small metal box that looked pretty dirty. After my pedicure, I didn't see anyone clean the tub. So who knows if they clean that for each client either. I asked for French tip but it was way too round, had to ask her to straighten out the edges. On to my manicure, wayyyy too thick. Painted way below my natural nail line. Once I got home I actually cut my nails down even more so the French tip looked thinner. I asked for glitter on top but the sample nail looked nothing like what it actually looks like once on my nails. Can't wait to get out of there and I'm expecting to pay 50-60 and to my shock the total came to $73! I said $73?!?!?!?!? She said yeah because pedicure and manicure are $60 and add $13 for French tip. I was wholly unhappy with the whole thing and then i have to pay $73? Hell no. Never coming back. read more

A arrived around 6:30 and was helped immediately but from 6:30-8:15 the only thing the tech had accomplished was my pedicure.
