I have been a regular customer over 6 years. Today I went in and Brian has been consistent with my requests, sometimes I may have fills for months whereas other times regular gel on my manicure. I also have pedicures done , I recommend the " regular " to get a fresh feeling. There are times I've waited for up to 30 minutes, this only depends on the time of year. The price is very reasonable. I was on this side of town and thought it might be convenient to get my nails done here... nope. This seems to be a place where if you do not speak up, you will be left with a terrible service, and even when you do speak up, it's not great. I signed in and had to soak off my gel polish. No one checked on me to see how the gel was coming off. I wound up scraping it off myself and going to the front desk to explain it was done, since they were calling people who signed in after me to get started on their services. I asked for my nails to be filed round, and they are square. I had to ask my manicurist to cut my nails shorter, she didn't prompt anything or ask my preferences. I asked her to push back my cuticles and then cut them (some people prefer not to do that, but I asked), and she just cut what was loose rather than pushing back all the dead skin. I also had to ask AND show my manicurist to re-file some nails, as some were jagged and rough, or uneven. Polish was left on my skin as well. Maybe it just depends on who you get for your service, but I will absolutely not be going back or recommending this place. read more

I've been here several times, usually it's a mediocre nail salon. After today's experience I wouldn't even rate this place 1 star. I went in with a picture for shape, it's not coffin, but it's not as wide as square. I showed ling ling the picture of the nails and said I want them this shape with green gel polish. During conversation I told her I'm very precise about my nails and she proceeds to say "im to young to be picky." She started filing my nails coffin, so i asked her to make them square and sharp on the end. After she was finished I was so upset, I asked her to fix them and try and make them more square. She got pissy and started rushing and filing my nails, slapped a top coat on and told me to go pay. I went up to the counter and the guy tells me it's $58.62 plus tax. I said are you charging me for coffin nails because they aren't suppose to be coffin. I showed him the picture and he said my nails look the same as the picture. That that's coffin shape. After going back n forth he gives me a "$5" discount. I gave him 2 $50.00 dollar bills and he gives me $43.15 back in change. I had to ask for a recipient and he still telling my nails look "fine" & "they look the exact same as the picture" as he was laughing at me. I do not recommend this place! They also use the same tools and products on multiple customers and put them back in the "sanitized" container. So gross!!!! read more

Unless you are looking for a rushed, half assed, overpriced mani/pedi, go somewhere else. I was in town from Chicago for work and needed to get my nails done. I regret going here. I had to ask multiple times for them to cut my nails short (they didn't), my nail lengths are uneven, they caked the gel on so thickly and did not clean it up and I had to spend a good 30 minutes filing out the gel that was caked on glueing my nails to my fingers. They also were very rough, not at all relaxing or enjoyable. On top of all of this, the services are WAY more expensive than any mani/pedi in Chicago. I am out the door for $55 for a gel mani/pedi back home. I have never been charged to remove gel if I am getting a nail service - they charged me $5 for this (if I am coming in to only get the gel removed, then yes, I understand being charged). Here, it cost me $72 (they also charge $5 for scrub). Save your money and your time and go somewhere else. read more

I've been going to Nail Laquer in Willoughby for years. Today may be my last. New manicurist. Unprofessional looking hands to start. Have bitten, have glued on long nails. She called at least a half dozen friends on her phone while doing my manicure. No hand cream massage at the end. I know I should have just walked out. I'm just so frustrated with people and their attitudes. It's hard to find people who want to do a good job. People wake up. Be proud of your chosen profession and do a great job. Look the part. I have been a consistent customer for this location since late March. My experience here has been a hit or miss every single time. Today's experience was my last straw. Their hours are 10 am - 7 pm, the sign on their door says they accept walk-ins before 10:15 am. Well, I arrived 10 minutes before 10 am and the salon was already full. I was turned away (all I needed was a fill in) and told I could come back at 11:15 am. I am usually told to come back every time I need service and once I arrive I usually still have to wait. If you do consider this location, there are a couple of good techs: Mai and Xiu are very good. read more

First a foremost, I get the same thing every time I come to this place and I end up paying a different price EVERYTIME. Either too much or less. It's NEVER consistent. Secondly, I've had THEE worst experience yesterday on 12/5/18 around 5:00pm. I went in to get a fill-in and pedicure. The man giving me a fill-in, I've never sat in his chair before. All of my nails were not the same shape, but not too far off to where I couldn't be satisfied, until I noticed that my pinky's were way too different. One pinky was narrow squared and the other was an unknown coffin shape. I asked nicely for him to adjust the shape and he got frustrated with me instantly and wanted to argue with me about nail bed size, which it had nothing to do with. The SHAPE is off. He was VERY RUDE and was throwing his hands up when I just requested for him to make the change. He eventually TRIED to fix it, but then he filed it down way too low and the other nail was just still looking different. At that point, he knew that I was pissed and I told him to just put clear polish on my nails and get my check. No pedicure...charged me $30 for uneven nails....never again. read more

They argue with the costumer when the costumers are right, my sister showed the women a picture and the nails were square, the women said "ok" and started filing her nails to a coffin and my sister said "ok I guess we are doing coffin now" and then the women started doing the pinky finger Stiletto, she was finally done with my sisters nails and they looked nothing like the picture and my sister told the man at the front that they weren't what she asked for and he was arguing saying that they did look like the picture, (which they didn't) and then my sister and my mother were complaining and the women said "she told me to only do the pinky coffin" which isn't true and then they never gave us a receipt and gave us the wrong change back!! I hadn't been there in a few years until recently and I won't return. Nothing is clean in there. The file she used had been used before. The nail dryer felt dirty to the touch. The nail tech had her cell phone on a stand, an earbud on, and took personal calls and texts while doing my nails. She did an ok job on my nails but the polish was so thick that it took over an hour to dry and I nicked a few accidentally. I had to remove all the polish that night. read more

Today was the worst experience I've ever had getting a manicure & shellac. Usually I either use Raun Hairdressers in Willoughby or Vince Neil Salon at Legacy, and I'm happy to pay more because I know I'll get consistent and outstanding results every time. I haven't used Nail Lacquer in two years because I haven't once left this nail spa without complaining or being somewhat unhappy with my nails. Today I was going to an event unexpectedly and didn't have time to drive out to Legacy and Rauns was booked, so I gave Nail Lacquer a shot. BIG MISTAKE!!! I was presented with what I would say over a hundred color choices, and there was not even one lavender color in shellac... So I chose a color I wasn't happy with. The technician saw I wasn't happy with the selection but didn't offer to let me try a couple different ones before deciding. What he did do is be visibly annoyed that I was hesitating to make a choice. Based on his pressure I chose a color I didn't really want. It's fine the color wasn't my first choice for tonight's event but I could make it work for the next couple of weeks. He proceed to give me a bad manicure, filing my nails and cutting cuticles... I was caught up watching TV while he worked on my nails. I walked in with fresh, clean nails, that haven't had any shellac in weeks. I was letting them recover. I then look at the finished nails and each of them looked terrible, the shellac was bleeding in Into the cuticles, that he cut off... Didn't push them in, it ran into the sides of the nail beds and there was visible skin sticking out from under the nails and sides... I was horrified. At this point I was ushered to pay and I complained. The manager was very kind and offered to fix it but I didn't trust them to redo the shellac a second time and I didn't have time to get it done a second time. I asked for it to be removed and just a regular paint job. He sends me back to the same rep, he was so rough taking off the shellac, he ripped my nail beds I spent weeks grow out... And then made my thumb bleed... BLEED! I asked for him to stop and someone else finish. A lady came and started to prep my nails to pain them. I found the color in regular nail polish and she proceeded to superglue my thumb and paint the nails. When she was done I went to dry my nails. After they dried to my horror the nails looked terrible... The nail color was watered down by a paint thinner so bad that the top coat was half on half off... I felt tears in my eyes because I was out of time and my nails looked terrible, I wouldn't believe how bad this entire experience was and I had several of my fingers hurting because he cut to deep into my cuticles. The only reason this is getting one star is because the manager didn't make me pay. I would never ever return, I'd rather have my 8 year old son pint my nails than come back here. read more

Decided to get a mani/pedi on a whim one Sunday afternoon and this is close so I went. I had a great pedi by Nick, who convinced me to try to shellac again. I was highly impressed with his meticulous attention to detail...he took off an entire hand after the first color coat of shellac because he said it look streaky (I didn't notice anything and I am particular about those sorts of things). It was really busy, but they had enough technicians that it wasn't too long of a wait. Everything was opened in front of me, sanitized, etc. They could use more OPI nail color options - I wanted to purchase the color I used and they didn't have it and the bottles they did have available were collecting dust...other than that, I'd go back. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The customer service is horrible and don't recommend at all. I came in and got a mani with gel polish and a pedi. Before my nails was even dry the tech was so pressed for payment. I paid with a card and circled zero for a tip. Before I could even let my nails finish drying Delena or whatever her name was like "oh no tip". In which I was planning and had cash but was going to wait until my nails were dry. However instead she then begin to touch me and started laughing. Once I said I'm still drying I will after. I simply just got up and just tossed money on the table and told her to come and get it since that's all she fucking cared about. Like you couldn't even waited until I was dry and finish the job(cleaning off nails). They are so horrible at this establishment. Then during my entire pedi her and other techs were just talking and just rushing the entire job. I can't believe she touched me and was so quick to ask for a tip before services were truly completed. That's what drew the line. Cause I would've been wrong if i touched her ass back. You not supposed to touch a customer. That's crossing all types of lines. This place is simply garbage!!!! Don't spend your money here. I went during finals week since it was right across the street and we were allowed off campus. I came in with a backpack and my stuff. I went in and was given a menu of prices because prices weren't on the website. I decided I just wanted a regular Polish. they told me to pick a color but didn't tell me off of what chart because there were like 8 at least. I asked and just kept getting told pick a color which was kind of frustrating but I get it because of the language barrier. I finally just picked one and hoped that it would work it did. The nail tech I had was super sweet but had made me pay her before I got my nails done which I don't really know if thats normal or not since I had never been. the color was BEAUTIFUL!! then she offered to get all my stuff to carry over to the drying thing my backpack was incredibly heavy and the nail tech was super sweet and carried it all the way. I also met some super nice people while my nails were drying. it was super fun to just relax for a little while after all of my exams! only reason im rating it 4 stars is because k had called before hand and asked how much regular Polish would be and they said $15 then when I got there I asked again they said $12 then charged me $13 which isnt a terrible price just didn't like how they kept changing it. and also didn't get a lot of help at the beginning picking out color but other than that it was an amazing rrelaxing time read more

I called and the phone went straight to voice mail. I came in at 1:25pm. She told me to wash my hands and pick a color and have a seat at an empty station. Just for me to still be sitting and not serviced at 1:55pm. An hour after my promised appointment time. This is ridiculous, no compensation or apology. People who arrived AFTER me are getting serviced before me because they complained. I found Nail Lacquer late in the afternoon via my smart phone and went over right away. Very pleased with the service. I got purple shellac that has lasted about a month. I always go here for my manicures, pedicures, shellac and anything else nail related. Weekends are hectic and there is usually a long wait. They do open doors a few minutes early which is nice for those who go early. Weekdays are much better if you have a tight schedule. Prices are decent. The have a lot of staff usually. read more

This is a nice nail shop that is open on Sundays and do a really good job Manis and pedis shellac gel fills you name it they do it. They recently redecorated the shop so all of their chairs are brand-new and it's very professional there sometimes you have to wait but you can always write your name in see how long it's going to be then come back. read more

If your not getting gel nails or gel polish they make you wait longer. The techs don't want to take you if your getting regular acrylic nails because they are not as expensive as the gel nails. When asked why you are there waiting so long and people that's getting gel nails are walking in and being seated right away their reason will be that some of the techs don't know how to do acrylic nails. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?? When you go to school to become a nail tech applying acrylic nails is one of the basic things that you are taught. I will NEVER go here again. read more

I am not a super picky person when it comes to my nails except i enjoy a relaxing leg and foot rub, i went here with my gf as a alternative since my shop was fully booked... We sat together however the guy rushed through my pedicure and massage, very hard rubbing and quick. Then when It came to my hands he seemed bothered that i was even there.
