She's cured the white spots I had on my natural nails and they are healthier than ever. My gel polish manicures last two weeks and I think they would last longer, but I just get sick of the color and want a change after two weeks! My service is UV Gel not to be confused with gel polish services -- it is not the same thing! Rare to find after my move from Vegas. She takes her time with your service and wants to know if you are pleased with it and will make every effort to ensure you are happy and goes out of her way to get you in her schedule. Very flexible! I normally get UV Gel pink and white and when I asked her about a special pink I like she ordered it and surprised me and I just love it. She is a joy to be around and does a fantastic job. Amanda was so nice and helped me find the perfect design for my nails! I had never gotten a fun nail design and really wanted something festive for the holidays. She really listened to what I wanted and was very nice and friendly throughout the appointment. I told her that I am very hard on my nails and that gel normally doesn't last more than a week on my nails. She told me that probably wouldn't be the case this time and I really didn't believe her. but sure enough it is 2 weeks later and my nails are still going strong! Amanda is a very nice, gentle, and meticulous nail technician. The salon space where she works is clean and welcoming. She was about 15 minutes late, which isn't bad considering I was her last appointment. I want to preface my review with the following disclaimer: By anyone's standard I am a pretty picky person. Over the years I've been disappointed by most nail places recommended by friends... There is only ONE nail technician whom I would rate with 5 stars and she is out of state. With that said here are my impressions of Amanda: I got a spa pedicure, which was better than most pedicures I've had in the recent years because: 1. She actually GOT ALL THE DRY SKIN EXFOLIATED (and so gently that I barely felt anything) and 2. My nail POLISH looked like it was PROFESSIONALLY APPLIED (I put it on very well myself so I expect a professional to do it at least as well, otherwise why spend the money?) 3. She uses GOOD PRODUCTS so that I didn't feel I needed to run to a shower (those of you who have experienced the cheap stuff that smells like toilet cleaner know what I'm talking about!) In sum, I will go back to Amanda and I do recommend her. read more

As a former nail tech, I have never found anyone that I was satisfied with to do my acrylics. Most technicians don't have great attention to detail or they are not "updated" in their style and their product. I found Amanda 7 years ago and will drive from Walnut Creek because her quality is THAT good! When I first came to Amanda- my nails were a mess; dry, broken, incredibly thin and I could not get a manicure to last more than 2 weeks without lifting. Amanda explained that it should be a one-size-fits-all approach, because all nails are different. She took her time in finding the right mix of products for my nails and now, a year plus later, my nails are in the BEST shape they've ever been; I get compliments all the time and they last literally 3-4 weeks. I have gone to Amanda twice now for pink and whites. She is great. She has good attention to detail and takes her time doing your nails. The length of all of my nails is the same! Without her even having to hold them up to the other ones to make sure they are right. If you have gotten acrylics before, you know what i am talking about. I heard that she was expensive but it's not by much (compared to the nail salons you find on every street corner) and I'm willing to pay the few extra $ for the quality and expertise. I am SO glad I found Amanda. I was looking for an experienced nail tech to do a full set of acrylics and a pedicure for my upcoming wedding. She advised me on which type of nails to get and even suggested an awesome toe polish/shellac that was FANTASTIC! People could not get over how good they looked. Unlike so many other nail technicans, Amanda is an expert with natural nails. My nails are so healthy and beautiful because of her and people often compliment me on them. All I can say is WOW!! She can do nails and do them well but if you need something fixed then she treats you like sh!t. I was going to her for about a year without any problems and about a week ago one of my nails lifted and I texted her and asked her if I could come in or should I just try and glue it. Her response was "glue is fine". I asked her when can I come in her response was "I don't work today". I told her I wasn't expecting her to drop everything I just wanted to know a day and time. She couldn't be mature or professional enough to actually help her customer. She is a nail tech that will talk sh!t about you behind your back and to your face act as though she's your best friend. I sure as hell wouldn't recommend her services to anyone ever. I would rather go to a "chop shop" then ever step foot in that salon again. She has been doing my rock star toes for almost 2 years and I am so hooked on them! Unlike any other the quality of her work is amazing. My toes look like they JUST had a pedicure from day one to my next visit. They NEVER chip. The rock stars last 6 weeks but I get there every 4 weeks because they are too fun to get.
