The woman who did my nails was very nice and I enjoyed the my appointment until the end of my service. I have never had a gel manicure where the nail tech filed and shaped gel nails after she was done putting on the gel polish. I wasn't expecting her to do this so I wasn't able to stop her but I wish I would've because my nails stayed lifting the same day! Truthfully I don't typically get my polish done on my natural nails but I asked a friend of mine who does and she was taken aback by the fact that the nail tech filed my nails. That night I even wore gloves in the shower bc I was scared they'd peel right off. And ofc the very next day I had two fingers chipped very badly. I decided to go back to the salon three days later when they opened so that they could rectify the situation. This was no usual wear and tear and I was disappointed with their lack of accountability for the fact that my nails were not done properly. I was also disappointed because I had to pay for the new service since the owner only offered me $5 off. I was in desperate need so I went ahead and paid the $40 since I had an event that same day. I couldn't help but walk away feeling like I'd been conned out of my money. I didn't want to get in any arguments which is why I paid for the service but I will not be returning to an establishment that wastes my time and my money. I was eager to come here because they boasted a steam room, sauna, rainforest shower, and hot tub. Lukewarm would be a great way to describe this experience. The steam room just didn't get as steamy or warm as I would like, I had to turn on the sauna myself and wait for it to warm up (energy efficiency maybe) and the hot tub had water features that were spitting out ice cold water - cooling down the whole hot tub. I didn't venture to the rainforest shower because I couldn't bear to be any colder! I did love the tiled heated chairs in this lounge though! Normally these features would be my favorite and I could spend all day rotating but Anda spa caps you at an hour. There are a few lounges that you can check out. The one lounge has a few snacks, unlabeled tea, and fruit infused water. As some one with allergies - the mystery of it all wasn't great. The other lounge had weighted blankets. I was told to wait in either lounge for my technician. My technician was around 10 minutes late to my appointment without any notice. I had to walk out to the front to flag a staff member down to make sure I understood the instructions correctly. This definitely detracted from the relaxed vibe. The facial was in a brighter room than I'm used to and obviously you're downtown so it can be a bit noisy. The facial itself was good and the technician had strong hands though I wish I would've researched more about the products. My skin has felt dried out since and it's just not the best experience I've had. I'm going to check out some other spa options before I return here. Again - Laura was phenomenal and the space is clean and modern - I just didn't have the experience that I would've liked for the price.

I called to schedule a builder gel fill with French tips and a standard pedicure. When I arrived the stylist told me they didn't have time for French in my allotted time, I told them I told the person on the phone when they asked about design, that I would Be getting French and I've done the same thing with my nails for the past two years, and it's a holiday weekend. They remedied it by saying they could try and bounce me around to a different tech to get the French portion done since it was their scheduling mistake. Ok fine. I told her that's not my top priority (sue me) and that I'd rather have the shape I want. She said she wouldnt do it (ok fine, i respect your practice), but would charge me for the full service. After she went and spoke with 'guest services', they decided not to charge me and they would not finish the service. Well come pedicure, I looked on their website before I called and booked And it said $65 for a standard pedicure. Well the person I spoke With that booked my appointment via phone, booked me for the standard pedicure and failed to inform me that it would be $105 because of the tech.... For literally the bare minimum of a pedicure. So with their cancellation policy I'm locked into this overpriced pedicure, after dealing with all the fingernail bs.
