I've just moved to the area so decided to try out the salon to have Shellac nails.
Initially they looked lovely and I was really pleased but the next day they started to all chip.
I called up to let them know I had lots of chips in the gel- a few of them I actually had to remove as they had curled up so much and were catching on things. The gentleman on the phone said to pop back in to have them fixed.
I was working away so came in at the earliest opportunity which was under a week to have them fixed.
I've had shellac done many times before and had no problem but this was just such a terrible job as all but about three nails had chipped very badly.
The lady in the shop said that as a week passed there was nothing they could do unless I paid to have them done again.
I explained that the shellac hadn't even lasted a weekend without chipping very badly.
The attitude of the staff was very abrupt, mean and rude and made me feel really uncomfortable.
In the end they begrudgingly removed the rest of the shellac but said they again would only fix the shellac if I paid more money. I really felt this was unfair as I had paid initially for such a faulty job and didn't want to end up paying again for it to possibly happen again.
The whole experience was really unpleasant and upsetting and I definitely wouldn't want to repeat it.
Before visiting the salon, a friend had told me that they had a terrible attitude but I thought it best to give them the benefit of doubt. However I do regret that now. read more
