Never go to this nail salon, I have just had the worst experience I have ever had in a nail salon in the 15 years I have been getting my nails done to the point that this is the first review I have ever left for a business as I would hate for anyone else to waste their money in this place.
Firstly when I went in I said that I had a hour and 15minutes before needing to leave to pick up my nephews from school and asked if that would be enough time and I was super chilled I said to them if it wasn't enough time it was fine I could come back tomorrow.
One of the guys sat me down, he was to be fair a really lovely guy and said he would start on my nails as I was having shellac removal and a pedicure.
After removing my previous color he ushered me through to the back where my pedicure was going to take place, this area was unclean and tools clearly were not sanitized properly.
This is where it all started getting awful, he was trying to use a drill to remove my cuticles, I asked him why he wasn't using cuticle cream and pushing them down and doing things properly, he would pick and choose when he would respond to me, so I never got an answer to this and I asked him to stop doing what he was doing, I asked for my nails to be cut down and filed, now none of them are the same length or shape.
He then for the first time put a little bit of product on the bottom of my foot and picked up a foot file that you would use for home use, it had been used on god knows how many times on peoples feet, it was visibly not clean and had rust on the metal, the area in which he was about to use against my skin, I told him no way was that going anywhere near my foot, that it was unhygienic and against health and safety regulations, he went off and got a senior member of staff who came back and asked what the problem was I explained and she sent him to get a new scrub bar from the basement, the ones that are meant to be used brand new on every client, they were flustered at this stage as they could be closed down for not having the correct sanctions in place.
She then said she would finish my pedicure whilst he worked on my hands, there was no care, no attention to detail, I had to give direction of clearly visible dead skin, I am already feeling so wound up and uncomfortable at this stage that I cannot give any more direction, she then did the most pathetic and again careless foot massage I have ever recieved, then she paints them, the most shabby paint job ever, I tried to say can you please paint the rest of that visibly missed part of my nail and tidy up all the others, she at this stage is making faces with one of her regular clients as if I am being problematic, I am not I have been very happy with my nail services for years, but when a salon thinks it is acceptable to use rusty tools on their clients feet, have no attention to detail, produce bad quality work and think that it is not going to pointed out to them that there are things that need rectifying and they cannot take feedback without becoming rough and sensitive then they are clearly in the wrong business.
The end result of my pedicure was visibly dry skin, areas that have not even been addressed, poor paint job, I mean it is the worst i have ever had it looks like it hasn't been done, I have benefited in no way from this instead just feeling unnecessarily stressed out and upset,
Then same with my hands, no attention to detail, they are a mess, the polish has been allowed to roll and put on too thick which means it is bubbly in areas, I have had gel polish enough times every two weeks for years to know how it should be done and what is and is not good work and the mistakes that are being made, i was left with polish around my fingers and areas missed and I didn't even get the end design that I wanted as we had run out of time and he left me before we were finished to go and paint another girls nails even though he knew we only had 10minutes left, so I didn't even get what it was I went in for so a complete waste of time.
Then when I am leaving I ask if he can get the polish off my skin on my fingers to which he came to me with a nail file, I said no I do not want you to file my skin.
I then reluctantly paid for this awful work that I am going to have to get done again.
I then walk out the shop and realize he hasn't given me back my card, I go back in he has gone and one of the women tells me he gave it back to me, I think about it knowing he hasn't but nevertheless go through my entire bag to look for it, it is not in there of course, I say again I don't have my card no one gets up to help, it is only then another client that points out the pdq portable card terminal just on a nail counter in front of another client with my card in it and he has just left it there!
Then as if it couldn't get any worse I leave and have a really good look at my feet and hands and almost want to cry it's that bad and I have paid 50pounds for this, I call them back to say how unhappy I am read more
