They also do henna tattoos, bleaching (of facial hair), ear piercing and threading. First impressions aren't that good. The shop has a cheap look about it, with way too many hand-written signs advertising random services. With alarm bells ringing, I was only going to ask for a price list to take away, but the lady on reception was so friendly and professional I decided to ask about their 30-minute mini facial (£18) - and before I knew it I was agreeing to have one there and then. In fact, my mini facial didn't actually seem that "mini" at all. The beauty therapist thoroughly cleansed, toned, exfoliated and applied a mask to my face - and afterwards my skin felt as clean and smooth as it has done after a full facial at a far more expensive beauty salon. Despite appearances, this place is clean and friendly, and after this first experience I'd be willing to give it another try in the future.

They offer: Massage treatments, Manicure, Facials, Colouring - high / low lights, Waxing, and Makeovers. Eyebrow treading is cheap as chips (and a burger) £4.50 and they give you a nice shape and, added bonus, staff are friendly not snooty, which helps make those painful waxing sessions less painful.

I tentatively took myself along to Model Eyebrows for half an hour of torture and vanity. I'd heard the most awful painful things about threading so I wasn't in a rush to try it out. But overall the experience wasn't as bad as I'd imagined it could be. The lady who threaded my eyebrows took the time to understand exactly how I wanted them shaped and worked quickly to avoid any prolonged agony. The results lasted for weeks which was great, and gave my face an instant lift. One word of warning - don't plan to meet your friends for lunch afterwards as you'll inevitably have an extremely red face.

Model Eyebrows was a new shop that opened with Cabot Circus a couple of years back, and it offers a walk-in service, with no appointment necessary, and you can get your eyebrows shaped and threaded for just £9! The lady who is often there is brilliant at this technique - and its all over in about five minutes! For this method thread is used, instead of wax or tweezers, and your eyebrows can be shaped to perfection. The main difference is that threading shapes the hair on the upper side of your brow as well, adding extra definition. This little place is great and so convenient for us girls - definitely give it a try!
