If you're coming to do acrylics DONT! I came to get my acrylics, on a Sunday, since I saw there was food reviews, but There are only 3 people (young woman, Chinese woman, and a male) that only do the acrylic (at Lear's that day.) only three days after and these are my nails, not to mention that my other hand has the acrylics longer than this one. I got them done by the Chinese lady, She didn't clean up my cuticles or anything, as soon as I sat down she started gluing the nail on my fingers (you can tell in the picture). I told her to do coffin shape - she either did not understand or just ignored my request. It was a horrible job, I'm not sure how they are with gel nail polish or just regular nails because it was my first and last time here. When I first moved to the Palmetto Bay area a little over a year ago, I was heartbroken over having to abandon my previous nail tech of over five years. Luckily, knowing I had YELP to turn to for help, I came across this little gem called: Nail Candy Spa! Ever since then, I've been visiting them for a (gel) mani & pedi every two to three weeks, with none other than Yadira - she's the BEST! Last week I went for the second time and my GEL NAILS only lasted two days....they all peeled off. I had a mani and pedi done with Lisette. I was doing my nails elsewhere before but needed to find a nail technician that would remove excessive skin and ingrown nails. Soo thankful for Lisette! She does an excellent job! The nail polish selection is large including Miracle Gel (no UV light) for no additional charge. She did a design on my nail for free too. Literally waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for nothing. All I wanted was a gel mani & pedi. It was busy when I first walked in and that was expected, but when 2 customers walk in after you and promptly get serviced. Certain nail techs only do acrylics nails and I get that but one of them was literally doing exactly what I wanted... I guess since she is a regular there she can just waltz in whenever with minimum wait time. Also, over the phone I was told they don't do appointments (even though I was not asking for one) but then I hear the nail tech telling someone to be there at 4 sounds like an appointment to me! Wow! This salon can definitely do the fancy, blinged out nails for a decent price. The ambiance is great, they serve wine even! The woman who waxed my lip was extremely knowledgeable on hair type and how that plays a role in waxing and even gave me a great hair removal suggestion that I can purchase and do myself at home. Everyone was extremely polite and friendly and the spa was clean and sanitary which is super important. The only downside in my opinion is that they don't accept appointments which is a bit of a hassle for me as I live about 25-30 mins away. read more

I went today and got a full set of acrylics put on and had a pedicure as well. I have no complaints about the wait or my pedicure. This full set, however, is the worst set I have ever had in my life. I arrived and told the receptionist that I would like someone who does a good job at long nails. I have been to salons all over Miami throughout my and I have never had an experience like this. I have several nails that are crooked. The tips were glued at a wrong angle creating an "upwards effect" making them look absolutely horrible. The only thing that is nice is the paint job, but when your nails are crooked and point at the sky it kind of ruins everything else. For what I paid, ($83) I would think I should be happy with the outcome. I am tempted to cut them all off and it hasn't even been 24 hours. They look so bad I could cry.. what a waste of time and especially money which nowadays is hard to come by. read more

Went once before and they did my acrylics well. I went for a refill and called beforehand to ask how long the wait was. I was told to go quickly because they would take one more person before they closed at 5pm (I called around 3:30pm). I got there at 3:40pm and ended up getting serviced at 5pm. And since it was closing time, the lady did them rushed and didn't do what I asked (to shorten the nails). While I was waiting, 2 or 3 people walked in and got serviced before me, as well. read more

I wish I can give this place 5 stars but honestly, I can't. The customer service was great, assisted quickly and very friendly nail tech. I had my holographic nails done and was so excited but once I walked out and just slightly rubbed my hand off my shirt, my thumb got all gross and foggy. I did notice a black spec on my nail too. Went back in to see what can be done and she did assist me right away but just applied an extra layer of clear gel polish. It's just been 2 days and I've noticed the chrome becoming deteriorated. (I've been washing my nails normally with normal soap) maybe there's a certain way to care for them. Sadly I won't Ben coming back here. Not only because of the aftermath of it all but because I live in Brickell and it's not worth making the drive if in two days I'll have to re touch them. I'm going to start this off by saying that my overall experience here was pleasant. The girl up front was very friendly and welcoming and the salon is very clean and had a good atmosphere...however, I received the worst (gel) mani/pedi I have ever gotten! During the mani the lady cut a chunk out of my finger while she was trying to clean up my cuticles and didn't realize it until I started bleeding out. I brushed it off because mistakes happen and its no big deal if everything else came out alright. I had gotten the pedicure prior to the manicure and when it came time to painting my hands she realized that the nail polish that she painted my toes with had ran out. No biggie. I told her to just paint them black since it would match the best with my toes. I didn't realize it before leaving the salon but as soon as I got in my car I realized that she painted my hands with navy blue (I hate navy blue), she didn't even paint my nails all the way to the tip on multiple nails, there were bubbles, and she put such a thin layer that my nail polish was see-through! When I got home I had a closer look at my toes and she only painted half of my pinkie toe and again, didn't paint them all the way to the tip of the nail. It was highly disappointing that I had wasted money on a mani-pedi that I could have done better at home. To top it all off its only been 5 days and my nails are chipping, they're all scratched up, and my cuticles look miserable. Never again! read more

It's a very unprofessional setting they open at "10" and they flip the sign at 10 yet when you walk in at that time there are a bunch of customers being attended . If you want to make an appointment they don't give appointments it suppose to be first come first serve. If they would commit to appointments they would have to honor those with appointments. I would not recommend this horrible salon to anybody. They use MMA acrylic which is ILLEGAL in the state of Florida. They completely ruined my nails and I am in the process of growing them out. My nails were in pain after getting them done because of how deep they drill into the nail plate. They also do not sanitize their products throughly as I developed fungus on my nails and I have NEVER in my life had nail fungus. Please educate yourself, I believe this salon does offer real quality EMA acrylic but they should be using that on every client to begin with instead of scamming them and using dental acrylic. read more

I went there yesterday to get acrylic refill, and they told me that they used OPI acrylic powder. So I decided to do my refills there. Once the technician started to apply the activator and acrylic powder my fingers started burning intensely. I told the technician countless times to stop that it was burning and he continued. It was not to the point I had to wash my hands that I paid him and told him that he would no longer work on my nails. I immediately left to a supply that tested the powder residue and told me that was not POI that it had MMA. I was having a huge allergic reaction to the acrylic powder. I soaked my nails in acetone and the acrylic came off. My nails and finger are all swollen up today. I would never go back to this place. They were dishonest and completely ignored my complaints. read more
