Lol at the fact that the bad review on here is from a person who didn't even get their nails done. ANYWAY I am a regular at Venetian Nail Spa where I pay $50 for a mani pedi and $67 for a gel mani pedi biweekly. It was the only nail salon I trusted. Unfortunately, my last visit was sub-par. My friend, Lourdes, was always raving about Diverso and its new owner-- a lovely lady named Sabrina-- and her manicurists. I decided to give the place a try and holy cuticle, I am SO glad I did. This place is super modern. The decor makes me feel pretty. LOL. The white walls and furniture looks great with the orange accents. It's actually a huge relief to walk into such a bright place. The equipment was clean. I usually take my own supplies for the manicurists to use but I felt really safe letting them use their own stuff here. The owner, Sabrina, works the front desk and is the sweetest thing. I was sat immediately for my appointment with Misleydis (spelling?) who was FANTASTIC. She also does my friend Lourdes' nails and her daughters. All of the ladies were friendly and really seemed to be having a good time. I laughed the whole time I was there and felt like I was among friends. My manicure and pedicure were impeccable. The entire thing took about an hour and a half. Misleydis was very thorough and detail oriented. There aren't any massage chairs or frills, but hey. The quality was way better than most places that have a $1000 chair for you to sit on. Quality really stood out to me. When you book your appointment through Yelp, it just shows the owners name. If you want an appointment with a specific manicurist, you need to call. Their prices are outrageously low so make sure you tip well. These ladies honestly deserve it. I booked my next appointment on the spot, something I've never done at any other salon. read more

I cheated on my nail lady because desperate times call for desperate measures. Despite all the negative reviews I decided to give this place a shot and I can honestly say it was not half bad that says a lot coming from someone who is very spoiled when it comes to nails. The salon is very clean and organized. They had music playing which made it feel like a spa and they even offer chocolates as a sweet treat after you pay. As for nail polish they have a large variety of Essie and OPI, I even noticed they use creams from bath and body works which was a nice touch. My nail tech Misleidy was very sweet and attentative she even gave me some insight on gel nails since I had never had them done. My only real complaint about this place which is a reason I knocked off a star is that I wish they had spa chairs to sit on while doing your feet since it really makes a difference or at least some type of platform to place your feet on while getting them done. All in all prices were resonable $40 gel mani-pedi or $20 regular mani-pedi Owner was extremly nice and I feel as if they are getting a bad rap because of the previous owners. I went a couple days ago, as a walk in, and was super disappointed. I didn't have to wait much for the technician, however, when she was doing my nails she cut me THREE times. Blood and all! She said it was cause I had "thin cuticles," but it's really cause she was too busy talking on the phone instead of paying attention to what she was doing. Not exactly the five star experience. I have been doing my nails here for the last 3 months. Don't really have much to say besides that it's alright for the price I guess. About the owner I have only seen her there once on a Saturday and wasn't friendly or rude she was just there to pay her employees. I do gel manicure and regular pedicure and it was good. The only thing that I don't really like is that they don't massage your feet and hands at least not to me lol. read more

The end result was a beautiful mani that last two weeks but it was not the pleasant experience it could have been. Beautiful place. But technicians are not professional. They were talking bad about the client that had just left, and one doing my nails even stopped service to call a friend on speaker to tell us all how bad a client she used to be bc of her kids. If it was a cheap mani I could overlook it but $15 for that chusmeria and unprofessionalism? No thank you. Plus she was rough and the cuticle cutting was painful. Surprised I didn't bleed. Owner needs to hire professional techs who care about their clients and enjoy what they do if they are going to charge those prices. They were even fighting about who got stuck with the last client! I got my nails done by Mercedes and eyebrows waxed by Mari. Mercedes took out a bunch of cuticle and left my hands feeling fresh. And Mari is a gem! Bi was interested in the ombré gel/ color changing gel and they only had 2, orange and pink!! The owner "matched" the color however she matched it to the color it would change when it's cold.... Which is hardly ever in Miami. So but hands and feet are at different parts of the spectrum. The tech who did my nails didn't want to do my 3 year olds nail Bc she said the owner should charge.... I made an appointment for 4pm to do a mani/pedi and eyebrows. Having been there a few times, I didn't think it would be an issue. First they made me wait until almost 5:00 to get started. I didn't say anything and did my nails in peace. Then when it came time to do my eyebrows, the woman that was doing my nails called for the woman that does the eyebrows. She said that she couldn't. And that she was almost an hour behind on her nail appointments (like it's my fault you got yourself behind, right?) Even though my appointment stated that I wanted to get my eyebrows done. She tried blaming the girl in the front because she "didn't tell her" I wanted to do them. She kept telling me to come back tomorrow or that MAYBE she'd have time later tonight. I didn't get her name, but she was rude and had a nasty attitude and shouldn't be anywhere near customers. I came in with a friend using a groupon. The salon is very clean and modern and in a nice location. The hostess was very polite. The lady that attended me, Maria, was a total sweet heart and awesome at her job. She gives great manicures, pedicures, and massages. She's gentle but gets all the cuticles and dead skin with great attention to detail. On the down side, the nail polish brand doesn't seem to be the best quality, so I recommend bringing your own. If that doesn't bother you then try them out - ask for Maria. :) I'm definitely going back. read more

I've had my mani and pedi fine with Mercedes she's really good. My only issue with this place is the chairs. They are so uncomfortable. My mani and pedi time is my time to chill and relax. To be in a place for an hour or 2 and sit uncomfortably is not so cool. I would give this a 4 if they had spa chairs. A 5 of they had more than 1 person that did as good of a job as Mercedes. The place is modern and nicely decorated; however, don't let this fool you. The owner, Sabrina, whom some reviewers have mentioned, may seem like a nice person but the truth is she treats her manicurists likes slaves and makes fun of her customers behind their backs. I started going to Diverso a few months ago, and at first I really enjoyed it. My manicurist, Mislaydis, made it an enjoyable experience and really did everything possible to make my nails perfect, the prices were not too terrible either. However, I am a teacher and usually get designs done because I like it and my students love seeing the nail designs. Soon, Sabrina started making snide remarks about the designs (disguising them as jokes) in order to discourage me from asking for designs. This made the manicurist as well as myself very uncomfortable. Sabrina charges for designs, and I gladly plaid for them so I don't understand why she would do this. She would say things like "and how long will today's design take? Haha". Thankfully, the manicurist paid no mind to these comments and happily did the designs, not even caring when Sabrina would come to the table and sit next to her to rush her. Another thing that made my visits less than enjoyable was all the constant complaining about customers. As soon as customers would leave, she would say something negative about them. How can I enjoy myself while I'm wondering what she says about me as soon as I step out the door? She is such a petty person that she even charges for the removal of nail polish. I know of very few salons that do this, and I find it ridiculous. It is no wonder that her BEST manicurist (Mislaydis) finally had enough and left. I can't offer an opinion on the work of the other manicurists as I never had my mani/pedis with them, but I can say that their chairs were almost always empty because most customers preferred to wait for Mislaydis. I used to go to Diverso on a biweekly basis, I am so glad I no longer have to go there and be around the toxic person that Sabrina is. Also, to the person who mentioned that they use creams for Bath and Body Works: I am sorry to let you know you have been deceived. I personally know that Sabrina refills the Bath and Body Works bottles with cheap creams bought elsewhere. read more

I have had gels and go to work where I wash my hands constantly and they have never chipped or peeled off. The very next day, I.went on vacation and that's what happened, same for my toes not chipped but PEELED OFF ON THEIR OWN. She was unprofessional on the phone all the time. The owner was being rude and disrespectful to the manicurist in front of me, because she didn't offer other services to.a customer. And to top it off everything that came out of the owners mouth was as she was desperately seeking business and trying to convince me of how great their services are. I really wanted to like this place because it is very close to home, but the service was terrible. The salon is beautiful and clean, but the technicians don't know what they are doing. I left with uncut cuticles, uneven nails, and a bad paint job. Also, gel/shellac polish was advertised, and they only offered vinylux. There's a big difference! A business is not comprised of only one person but rather a team of individuals working together to provide great service. That is what I have found there. I was attended well by a former employee and am currently being attended well with current employees. Diverso is clean, well managed, accomodating and provides great service at a great price. The manicurists here are all talented and never disappoint! I usually get my nails done with Ani- she's great when it comes to gel and any kind of design you're looking to do. The manicurists make everyone feel extremely comfortable and always strike up conversation with their clients. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. They send you text reminders for your appointment which is convenient. They had availability and made booking my appointment so fast and simple. My friend and I were looking for a salon close by and we were not dissapointed with Diverso. At first glance its very miami chic, hip, and most importantly clean. The owner is a an absolute sweet heart with an amazing team behind her. We opted for the $45 diverso Mani n pedi but with the Groupon deal it only came out to $17 (which the owner accepted without having the actual groypon certificate). Angela my technician was a doll she was very detail oriented leaving no cuticle untouched. I recieved a hand massage and a warm stone soak. My pedi was a true delight as they have massage chairs removing each tension while they work on your pedi. Finally it was time to leave but not before a little coffee provided by my technician. Overall great new salon offering mimosas on the weekend and $25 deals on Monday and Tuesdays. We will defineltly come back. read more

You get less than what you pay for! The nail polish seems to be old and cheap. I did my nails and a day later they were chipping! The nail polish was coming straight off. Beware......there's a million other places to go to with similar prices and not cheap products. They were decoyed in Essie bottles, but even the bottles looked a bit off since the names weren't on them and they had placed stickers on them.
