First time. Good hibachi. Kids liked the hibachi noodles and rice. Very good price for sides. Lobster and chicken hibachi was good, wife was ok with the steak, but finished. A bit pricey versus Oyako Hibachi in freehold which comes with a bit of a show by the cook. Also, charge for each refill ($2). Would come back if not feeling like driving to freehold. Ordered fried rice which was a small portion and not very flavorful. I also ordered Tuna sashimi for pickup which took almost an hour for it to be ready. All Food/ sushi is prepared behind a curtain which makes me wonder about the quality, and it doesn't taste fresh. read more

Really was hoping for good things here as it's close to my office. Very nice staff. Unfortunately was not happy with the sushi and misrepresentation on the menu. Ordered salmon and yellowtail rolls inside out (rice on outside) because I hate the smell of the seaweed. They brought it to me with seaweed on the outside and then said it's extra $ to serve it with rice on the outside. I've been to dozens and dozens of sushi bars and never once have I been charged extra for inside out rolls. There was very little yellowtail or salmon in the rolls that they served (much less than you'd see at shoprite even). I told them I'm not eating it or paying for it and offered to pay for the soup. Again, nice staff but very disappointing as this would turn a $11 lunch into a $15 lunch. read more

Excellent service Sushi was great and they had uni. Sea world row and Godzilla roll was devoured. Salmon skin roll had an abundance of salmon skin! Kids had bento box D and the hibachi shrimp and hibachi beef dinner. Not one compliant. read more

Sushi was fresh and well presented. Miso soup, however was poor and tasted like it came from a powdered mix. Overall, satisfied and will go back. Went back, again was very satisfied . Had the negamaki appetizer, it was great! And the miso soup was completely different and so much better! This will most definitely become part of the regular rotation. Wonderful establishment. Very nice and welcoming place. The employees there are very courteous and friendly. Never had to wait more than a few min for anything. There are assigned waiters/waitresses to your table but everyone seems to just help anyone else's table too (how annoying is it when you ask for a soda just to hear, 'ok let me get your waitress' - not here). The food is excellent, especially for the price...but honestly, wouldn't mind to pay more (err, but don't raise the price ;-) ). The manager is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Always smiling, very friendly, genuinely happy to be there and seeing you enjoying yourself. $25 for a soup, salad and a gigantic sushi and sashimi platter can't be beat. The presentation looks like something out of a magazine...yes, I have to take a picture every time of my dish... The food is fresh and tasty. I probably go 2x a month on avg, love it. read more

We ordered pick up here one Sunday for 7 of us. We received a flyer in the mail and decided to try it out. I ordered WAY too much, but man, I'm so glad I did! It was awesome. The ladies at the front counter were so welcoming and nice. They helped me carry out my order to my car. The restaurant itself is very modern, clean and beautiful. The register counter is designed with real pennies that they cleaned and glued to the counter-top themselves! I'm a design girl, so I was very excited to hear about this little detail. As for the food, oh man. We were in a food coma. It was delicious! The sushi was super fresh and just melted in your mouth. We are not California Roll people. We are raw and adventurous with our sushi, so our standard is pretty high. I highly suggest visiting Nagoya. You will not be disappointed! I can't wait to go again. :) read more

Came here for Hibachi. Ordered the beef, shrimp and chicken. The food came with fried rice, veggies and noodles. Nothing was good. The beef and shrimp were overcooked, chicken had way too much teriyaki sauce on it. Noodle worse than lomein from a bad chinese take out. I cant speak for sushi since i did try it, but definitely will not try hibachi again from this place. read more

Hands down the best sushi you can get in Howell. I have had sushi from many different places and this is absolutely in my top 3. Atmosphere is romantic and service is polite and very helpful. Feels like an upscale restaurant in a place that you would never expect from the outside. Starting with their appetizers, they are always an impressive start to my meal. Sushi is always fresh and delicious, and the hibachi is also fantastic. I can truly say that I have never tried anything on the menu that I haven't loved, and as I try more I am only more impressed by the food. The sushi dishes are decorated in a different way every time and it adds a great flare to the experience of eating there. The specials also never fail to impress when you are looking for something new. Owner is also very friendly and available. My family and I have visited Nagoya Sushi and Hibachi for multiple occasions. We love the environment and the food is very good, however, recently the food has not been its best and the service is not good. When we come to eat at Nagoya, we always feel rushed. Before we sit down, we're asked what we want to drink and by the time the server comes back with the drinks, they're already asking what we want to order. This all happens within 10 minutes of being in the restaurant. In addition to feeling rushed, we find that the staff can sometimes make rude remarks. Every time we come to eat here, we always order sushi as an appetizer and a hibachi meal for dinner. After ordering the food, the server always comments, "Wow, that's a lot of food!" This comment has been made every time we have eaten here, even though we get a new server every time. We understand that some may see this as a lot of food, but it is inappropriate to be making comments like that. During our most recent trip to Nagoya, we were asked if it would be okay if our hibachi meals came out before our appetizer since the meals were already done. We asked if we could have our sushi first since we did order the sushi as an appetizer. Once we were ready for our meals, the food came out cold, which meant it had been sitting out since before our sushi was done. We are very disappointed with what Nagoya has become. We really hope that they go back to the way they were when they first opened, or else we will have to take our service elsewhere. read more

We ate in this new restaurant for my Birthday on Sept 30th. and will be dining there tonight as well.. We were 6 adults and I have to say we were so pleasantly surprised how delicious it was considering we did not know what to expect with them being new and all.. The place is very pretty, Service was good and the Owner is very sweet. We had soup to sushi to habatchi and everyone was very pleased. My dad's food came out cold so they took it back and gave him a new meal, the owner came over to appologize for the inconvience and felt really bad. We have a go to sushi place however this one so far is now our favorites. I recommend this restaurant!! read more

Food and sushi are very good, but don't be fooled, there is no hibachi here. If you order hibachi they cook it on a grill in the back and bring you out a plate. The food is good but quantity is no where near regular hibachi restaurant; no show, no shrimp appetizer, choice of rice or noodle not both and small plate, but price is same as sit down hibachi. My wife usually gets 2 meals from one order at other restaurants, here she cleaned the plate. Food was tasty, sushi was great and it's close to home. read more

Incredibly warming and welcoming from all of the staff. The place is awesome, it's extremely clean and has some sweet sinks, truly impressed with 21st century technology. Seriously, check out the sinks in the bathroom. Entres were delicious! The sushi was phenomenal and was very fresh! Overall, 5/5.
