Plus I really don't know what's good around here so re-learning. Somehow decided to crave a burger, and whilst walking along the streets checking yelp, I decided upon this spot. Haven't eaten at one in years. Walked in around 4p to quiet with lots of seating and decided upon bar as I anticipate better service in general. So glad I did! Adam was bartending and not only did he make me a custom drink without compromising the integrity of the cocktail, he made amazing reco on the burger and even mentioned a few custom mods he likes... which struck me as I was specifically looking at that burger thinking I prefer diff cheese. Meant to be. Bomb cocktails. Solid service. Delicious tangy lemon driven kale Caesar w parm crisps to start. Adam was quick with the two bite check back haha and got me pepper real quick as requested. He's great, this company was represented to its fullest potential based on his attention and good energy alone. He was jovial with other customers, gave enough attention without being overbearing and was always on time in service standards. I managed restaurant and worked in industry for decades .. so I can vouch. Ambiance was mellow enough to work on laptop and step out for calls. Good playlist! Thanks for the good food and service ya'll. I will be back for more

Chipotle ketchup was good. Doddy Melt Patty Melt was alright. It could use a little more sauce for flavor. We used the leftover chipotle ketchup from the fries on it. Next time get a different flavor and the taster size. Def too much food with two burgers, side of fries and large milkshake.

I was really craving a "patty" style burger instead of the oh so trendy (and delicious) smash burgers. The service was mediocre, waiter was solid. I was gravely disappointed by the food. I ask for my burger to be cooked medium, but it was not. Meat also lacked seasoning. I built my own burger, added cheddar cheese and green chile strips. The reasoning mainly being because Colorado is proud of their chile, it is chile season, pissing match with NM over chile, etc. The "green chile strips" was a canned (yes, canned) and the burger was over cooked. Maybe the next restaurant can soften the blow with a proper burger.

The sandwich came with the tenders piled on top of each other and a little too tall to be able to eat in one bite so I had to deconstruct the sandwich and make it a little bit more manageable. None of the burgers come with sides so I did end up getting the garlic Parmesan fries, which were delicious! Had I been in Denver a little longer, I probably would have stopped by at least one more time. Crazy part is, prior to this week, I had never even heard of Potbelly. They don't have any locations close to where I live in Southern California. The concept of toasted subs isn't new to me. We have Quizno's. But the subs I got from Potbelly just tasted better. Anyway, if you could please expand into Southern California, that would be great. I would definitely be a customer.

First time trying a Potbelly while on vacation in Denver. I think for some reason I thought they…read morewere more of a BBQ place and not just a standard delicatessen? What makes them stand apart from say a Subway or Jersey Mike's or Jimmy John's is that they have one of those conveyor belt toasters that once you've selected your bread, meat, and cheese, they run your sandwich through it to heat it up and give the bread a little bit of a char and the cheese a bit of a melt before it arrives on the other side to get your toppings added. And that is a cool standout, I'll admit, but somehow the flavor left much to be desired? Although that might be more to blame on the fact that they were out of like half their toppings... I really wanted the oil put on mine (oil is why Jersey Mike's is my go-to sandwich shop) and they didn't have any, and they went light on the Italian spices (probably because they were about to run out of that as well). Pair that with only being able to choose white or wheat bread... Overall my sandwich came out pretty bland. And yes, there was a big furry convention (with 6,000+ attendees-- I would know, I was one of them lol) happening one street over at the Sheraton, so maybe running out of toppings does make sense. But at the same time, if you have a location next door to a convention center, maybe you should expect to need additional stock over the weekend? Whatever. I just wish I'd known AHEAD OF TIME what they were out of, because I might have changed my order to something else (or even gone to another establishment for lunch). It would have been very easy for them to put up signage indicating the things they were out of, rather than one-by-one individually disappointing patrons by word-of-mouth after we were already committed to buying with a heated toppingless sandwich. Beverages were extremely pricey unless you bundled it into their meal deals. I wanted to keep my costs low, so I chose the $8 option that got you a sandwich plus chips plus a drink that only let you pick between three basic sandwiches (kind of a shame cuz I was hankering for tuna salad, but that would've cost substantially more). Cuz I'm sorry, acting like chips and a drink as a $5 bundle is a "deal" on top of a $10+ sandwich is bananas. I really don't see myself returning to a Potbelly's unless it's a similar situation to the one I was in where it's nearby to where I am and thus a convenient way to quickly have a meal and return to what I am doing. I wouldn't go specifically to eat there, just to get my need to eat met, you get what I'm saying? Also, and this complaint isn't necessarily Potbelly's fault, but the seating outside was locked up. There seem to be a fair number of homeless folks around, though I'm not sure why they'd steal metal chairs? I'd just wanted to enjoy my meal outside (rather than inside the quite crowded and loud establishment), but I found that the chairs were all lassoed together around each table. My small, lithe body was able to wriggle into one anyway (kinda like getting into a baby's highchair), so I just executed malicious noncompliance and ate there anyway, but there were several more patrons who were likewise disappointed (and not as small and lithe as me) who had to wander off to find somewhere else to consume their meals. Honestly the proprietors (whoever they are) should just remove the tables and chairs altogether since they're practically unusable. Like it makes the area "look" nice aesthetically, but it's a total lie? Also, my husband told me that during one of his stops at Potbelly (we weren't always together during the convention), a hobo came in and grabbed an armful of beverages to run away with?? And apparently an employee tried chasing after them to get the drinks back? Idk how that situation ended up resolving itself. Kinda sucks the staff have to deal with that kind of annoyance, but also sucks that there are homeless folks desperate enough to do something like that. It just feels crappy all around, you know? Maybe the city needs to open a kitchen/shelter nearby. I was appreciative that no one made a fuss when, after consuming my meal slowly outdoors, I came back in to get a refill on my beverage. (I didn't know if because I'd technically "left", I wouldn't be able to get a top-off half an hour later. Glad it was chill.) They were also fine with me using the soda fountain to add additional ice to my Hydroflask, which was great.
