There's not much to look at when you go inside but the food is actually very authentic. There wasn't many people when we went during a week day lunchtime so you'll most likely do not have to wait to get in. The wait isn't very long after you order and the portion sizes are very generous. Rice and the naan bread are side orders so be sure to add those because they're very good for the price and goes well with the entrees. I am completely obsessed with their chicken tikka masala. I've had many other chicken tikka masala dishes, but this one is my number one. Eat it with naan or with rice it's always consistently yummy. Went for lunch with my daughter. They have an advertised special of $7.99 that says " limit 2 per person", so both me and my daughter think that means you get two dishes as a combo.. ok. We order and then the rude service person tells us that rice is not included, so I order rice. No bread included so I order some naan. We ask for a cup of water and all they have is bottled water so you are forced to buy a drink ( I never buy drinks as they are a rip off and I do t need soda at every meal). I asked what vegan dishes they offer and she was happy to point them out to me. I ordered the following: Cabbage Curry (Vegan) $5.99 Chicken Tikka Masala $7.99 Garlic Naan (2) $2.50 each Nothing fancy about the cabbage curry. It's cabbage in a great tasting curry sauce. The sauce in the tikka masala was creamy and flavorful. I see why it's one of their best sellers. We enjoyed dipping our garlic naan in the sauce. Speaking of garlic naan, it was fluffy and had the right amount of garlic flavor to it. So good. The prices are very affordable, especially for the generous portions. Naan N Curry once upon a time ago had a buffet. As an unapologetic glutton, I dream of the days when buffets are a consistent thing again. Until that day, Naan N Curry is still a great place to visit. The prices really can't be beaten. Lunch specials are a steal. With all special items under $10, this is one of the first restaurants that I would think about if I am in a hurry. Items are served a la carte. After all, this isn't a charity. You can still remain under $10 easily with a simple order of basmati rice or naan with your meal. Other entree items are also priced a la carte. If you include basmati rice into the equation, it still is slightly cheaper than what you'd pay at a lot of other Indo-Pak restaurants. Naan N Curry is one of my favorite spots in Duluth. I didn't eat here. My boyfriend and I walked in after eagerly wanting to try Indian food for a while. The reviews did mention that the employees aren't very welcoming and that the vibe and atmosphere is off. But we figured we should just give a shot regardless and see for ourselves. Upon walking in there was two people working behind the counter, a younger gentleman and a older woman. We were not greeted nor acknowledged while standing there. We asked the how the ordering process worked and how the buffet worked. They gave us a short response and didn't seem interested in helping us at all. So I grab a menu off the counter and sat myself at a table to figure it out on my own. After feeling beyond uncomfortable and unwelcome we decide to just leave without getting anything. They truly had us feel like we were a bother or a nuisance to them while we were just wanting to support a small business and try some new food in the process. Beyond disappointed as we were looking forward to trying food here for a while. I'd take my business else where you feel welcomed and appreciated. I will say that Naan N Curry may not be the best place for the quickest afternoon lunch, I'd recommend at least an hour break time to eat here. Not only is the buffet never going to happen again, I was told by the rude older lady at the desk, but the food has changed as well. My favorite chana masala which I get every time is definitely not the same as is the biriyani. I hope it was just that day but after waiting an hour for my order, to getting disrespected by a lady up front I've never seen before, and the food not tasting the same, I don't know if I'll be back. The food was spicy but bland, which is odd for Indian. Also there naan was hard. We ordered goat and saag paneer, another disappointment. The goat was oily, watery, spicy but lacked flavor. It also didn't taste fresh. Also, they did not provide rice with our take out. We ended up having to go to the buffet for rice. I noticed that they had a few Latino cooks in their kitchen, and wondered about the authenticity of their food. The only thing that actually tasted good was the garlic naan. This was my first time trying Naan 'N Curry because I had the cravings for Biryani. Since I'm too pregnant to drive, I decided to try their online ordering last night (which they use Grubhub). I had ordered the Chicken Biryani. Chicken 65, Tandoori Chicken, and Butter Naan. The online ordering was easy and delivery was fast. I was amazed at how big each proportion was and couldn't wait to dig into each foods. The moment I tried them, I couldn't believe I waited this long to fix my cravings. Everything was absolutely delicious! I quickly told my sisters about it and one of them said that was her favorite Indian Restaurant. She said that she always go during lunch for their buffet. N & C is my go to takeout option when craving Indian and they offer an affordable weekday buffet for $6.99. We arrived at 1:15 pm for lunch and were one of five occupied tables. We chose from a dozen items including beef queema, egg curry, chicken qorma, chicken tikka (leg and thigh), kadi pakoda, mixed vegetable, chicken jalfurazi, cabbage curry, etc. Faves = kadi pakoda, beef queema. The chicken tikka was a bit dry. Given the fairly empty restaurant, the buffet was kept fairly well-stocked with just a short wait for fresh naan. I was bummed to not see chicken tikka masala, palak paneer or any okra on the line, but perhaps the weekend service offers more options. You can find Naan 'N Curry at 3083 Breckinridge Blvd, Duluth, GA 30096 near (behind?) Gwinnett Place Mall at the corner of Breckinridge Blvd and Old Norcross Rd. There are several restaurants in this small strip mall - Naan 'N Curry occupies one end. Parking is int he lot out front and there appears to be a lot of activity so you may have to walk a bit. I finally had a chance to try Naan 'N Curry for a late lunch one Saturday afternoon - this was upon recommendation of one of my Indian friends - I was in the area and decided to try the buffet. Naan 'N Curry is a Pakistani-style restaurant and as such the flavors are much more in the style of west India - spicy but also a bit more "soupy" in consistency. There were two tables occupied and a couple of more visitors came in while I was seated - also a few take-out orders were either made-up by people at the buffet or picked up, presumably from a call. When you walk in you'll see a plain and clean dining room with a counter that extends from the back wall - above are some menu options and a guy manning the register. If you order food from the menu I believe it's delivered through a small window behind the counter - at least that's where much of the take-out was being passed to the guy in front. The buffet is to the left with a couple of hot-line tables and a cold-line table for pickles, sauces and the like. One pan had a few naan wedges with the others mostly containing soupy meat dishes. The smell of curry was quite pleasant. Piles of styrofoam plates, bowls and cups were nearby as well as plastic utensils. This latter reminded me quite a bit of eating in the mall food courts in India - actually the inside of the place also felt similar to those experiences to me. I gathered up a few items for a plate and asked for some fresh bread, as the few wedges in the hotel pan were fairly hammered. After a few minutes someone dumped a pan back into the pan so I left my table to get some and was surprised as it didn't seem to be fresh bread - more like they had extra made up for the lunch rush and decided to use it up. First time I've seen that. While scooping up a few items it was apparent that quite a bit of ghee or some other oil was very prevalent in the food - lots of fat floating on top of all the pans. Now to digress a bit, I've tried about a dozen Pakistani style restaurants and there seems to be a common theme - perhaps it's just something inherent in this style of cooking but the extra oiliness is definitely a turn-off for me. Maybe I'm a bit too American? It just turns into grease in my mouth and belly and gives me a stomach ache. I was careful to get the "cleanest" portions as possible but by doing so I ended up missing out on much of the gravy which is where much of the flavor is contained. The only Pakastani restaurant where I've eaten that I really enjoyed was Kabab Hut in Lilburn (probably due to the all-BBQ plate I ordered) and Zyka in Decatur (but this latter was much closer to what you would find in an Indian restaurant to me). I hate to generalize like this but there it is. So the plate of food I built - I ate it but did not go for seconds. The meats, as I said were a bit under-spiced since I passed on the oily gravy and the one mixed veggie dish was a bit marginal to me in flavor - even the korma seemed light on the spice and the daal a bit light on cumin. OK so maybe I'm a bit picky - I'm sure others will find the food just fine. On this day, with what was offered on the buffet I started getting a stomach ache when I left the restaurant. To me it makes it below average but I'll round up to 3/5 stars. The service here is pretty much non-existent since you tell the guy at the counter and with the buffet it's self-serve, so I can't comment too much on this. I did feel like the guy didn't like me taking photos (I've experienced this before and had someone tell me photos weren't allowed - this was at Ashiana in Global Mall) so I tried not to be too obvious or obnoxious about it. First things first, you MUST order the garlic naan. Not the plain. GARLIC. I promise it will change your life. It's perfect and a necessity with any indian curry dish. I got the goat (not sure the exact name but it's the 4th photo on the display menu). The meat was delicious and very tender. Unfortunately, the curry was extremely oily. You can literally see the separation in the bowl. Everyone else got the chicken tikka masala. The pungent spices and flavor was just perfect. Buffet: 3/5: I've been going there on and off for their lunch buffet, but I stopped going there. Here's the reason why. Their buffet food is not hot enough, actually served luke warm and that makes the fresh food taste like leftovers even at the opening time. Their steamed rice used to be hot and steamy, but when I ate there last times, it was room temperate and lumpy. No sign of steam coming out. The same as rest of curry and saucy dishes. The oil on the food gets filmy in the food pan. It's embracing to ask to microwave my plate. I can tell them that the food is cold, but I wouldn't because that's their responsibility to check food temperature before they serve it to the customers. So I stopped going there. Cleaness: 2/5: for lunch buffet, we have to touch and twist open the knob to get water out of the water sever to get ourselves water in a styrofoam cup. I hope ppl don't lick their fingers and pour water after that. I'm not sure it stays clean through the business hours. And it's pain to go back and forth to get water while I'm eating. And the glass window has a bunch of fingerprints and hand smudges probably done by kids. But they stay on the glass window week after week, and never has a sign of cleaning. If you sit down, you have to stare at them to eat your food. I don't think I can bare anymore. They are very ppl and their normal food should be still good. This is the type of place that people usually order and take to-go. The staff are super friendly as well. I've been meaning to go when they have the buffet. I believe there is a lunch buffet on weekdays, except Monday (they're closed). I've had the samosas, chicken masala, palak paneer, and the garlic naan bread.
