An "Almost Hidden JEWEL" in Redlands. NAAN CAFE is not the "fanciest" Indian Restaurant I go to, but I absolutely LOVE the FOOD and the SERVICE! The 2 + 3 Item COMBOS are my FAV "Go To" Meals at least once or twice a week. (Hint: Ask or buy an extra piece or two of Garlic Naan. There's ALWAYS enough food for a SNACK. if not a 2nd MEAL. The RICE PUDDING is my favorite dessert. At least every other visit, I treat myself to a MANGO LASSI. Prices are very reasonable, and portion sizes generous. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. read more

I stumbled upon this place while in Redlands. I love Indian food but it's hard to come by. So I was excited to see what they had. They had the typical Indian dishes which is fine with me. I love Tikka Masala, and butter chicken. I could only get one but I'm definitely going back for the other. The Tikka Masala was very tasty it did not disappoint. They serve it with a tasty white rice and naan garlic bread. The guy there is very friendly and walks you through the different options. I can't wait to try this place again. read more

The most authentic Indian cuisine I have had at a restaurant. The only other comparison I can give is with a literal Indian family that I have had the pleasure to dine with. It's so awesome to have a local authentic Indian cuisine. You can't find food like this for at least 30 miles. My fav's are the goat curry, samosas, tandoori chicken, butter chicken, tiki masala, saag paneer...etc. Don't get me started on the Naan bread. Insert drool face emoji . All of it, just order all of it. There is nothing there that is bad. But be hungry, you may think "oh, that is more than I thought it would be". Try and finish your meal in one sitting, not possible. The portions are very large. And if you actually can finish one meal you will be in a food coma. read more

Ordered a few curries here to go on Christmas Eve in preparation for Christmas Day knowing places would be closed. My boyfriend was craving Indian food after we had amazing dishes in Encinitas recently and were hopeful the quality here would be just as good. I was disappointed to find the curries don't come with any rice, and the chana masala was a bit watered down rather than a creamy/thicker consistency. Overall though, the taste was fine--but we had to cook our own rice to eat with the curries when we got home. read more

I ordered from a food delivery app so this review is purely based on the food and how k received it. I ordered the Super Combo with chicken tikka masala, aloo gobi, chicken keema matar with extra garlic naan. Naan Cafe took great care in making sure all my separate items were packed carefully. Nothing was spilled when I got the food. The garlic naan was tasty but I wish the garlic taste was a bit more noticeable. It was very subdued. Overall, the food was pretty good. It wasn't bad, it didn't blow me away but it was very filling and a great value. Would I go back? I would, if I'm ever in the area again and decided to get Indian food for lunch. read more

We were famished from the mountains & found this place highly rated on Yelp so we decided to try. Your typical Indian fastfood. We were actually drawn to this place because of their combo. 2 item combo - $9.95 comes with either plain or garlic naan, rice, & yogurt dip. Super combo - $12.95 comes with 3 items, plain or garlic naan, rice, yogurt dip, & a drink. Option to upgrade an item to lamb curry for $3.49. The catch with the combo, is that you're limited to what they have cooked for the day, which is displayed on their heated case. We got a few combos, tried both their vegetarian options, their chicken tikka masala is okay but it is SPICY (poured some of the yogurt & mixed it with the masala & that made it taste better), their chicken tandoori is actually delicious. It takes an extra 10 minutes for them to make the tandoori. I personally think it's worth the wait. The saag paneer is good. The garlic naan is good. It is a decent amount of food for what you pay for. This place was okay. 3 STARS but had to take off another star because as soon as we opened the styro, one of our combos had a long strand of dark hair mixed in with the tikka masala. They did change it for us though. Service was okay. Took them a long time to have someone come out & clean the dirty tables. read more

If you wanted to introduce someone to the beauty and joy of a cheeseburger, would you take them to McDonalds for their first impression? With that in mind, read ahead: IF YOU HAVE NEVER EATEN INDIAN FOOD BEFORE AND WANT TO TRY IT, DO NOT ORDER HERE. There are MUCH better Indian restaurants in the next town over, Loma Linda that are worth driving to and eating in. This place is perfectly solid for Indian fast food. If you have a craving for Indian food that you can't be bothered to go to a proper restaurant to satiate, then this place is perfect. But please do NOT say this place is real Indian food. I'm sure the chefs here are more than capable, but guess what? The business model is focused on ready to serve and quantity. So of COURSE the quality is going to be like 3 stars at best. Keep in mind, that this place has been here FOREVER, and has understood that its longevity is based on the service population's general taste (Fun Question for Redlands natives: how many South East Asians live nearby?) Yes the Chicken Tikka Masala is dry. I will only order it if I need protein and I am DEFINITELY going to get the two item combo and douse everything in the Saag Paneer, or whatever curry/saucy item I feel like eating that day. Yes everything is wanting some spice. Please refer to the question in the prior paragraph. With that in mind, give it a shot. To the restaurant: PLEASE consider serving the soupier stuff in plastic sealed containers.
