Never thought i would find Egyptian cuisine in Colton but here we are. The food was pretty good it's very fragrant and they're generous with the spices. I love how the chef caters to younger clientele because there's dishes younger people would enjoy like their loaded fries. I tried them for the first time and I decided to go with the falafel wrap. The wrap was very flavorful and filling. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes from Chick N falafel. Foodies welcome here they say! read more

So the only thing I've had here is the kafta/kofta and falafel. Both were really good, although it was pretty expensive for the kofta wrap and a side a falafel. I want to say I spent at least $30. I will come back and try the Shawarma. The interior is really clean, really spacey. And the lady who helped me was really nice. I happen to go when they were having the kofta special so hopefully I can get that again. read more

I ordered takeout and got the falafel meal with dressing on the side. It came with falafel, fries, salad, and pita bread. When I picked it up at 5:30pm, there wasn't anyone inside except the person who helped me out. Still pretty early for dinner though! She was friendly and got my food to me. The texture on the falafel was really good. Nice and crispy on the outside. The taste was a little salty for me, but not too much. Other than that, it was pretty good. The salad was a basic salad with lettuce, cucumbers, etc. The fries were also pretty good. Nice texture and still warm when I got back to the hotel. The major letdown was the pita bread. It came wrapped and the texture was not good. Very tough and chewy. Overall, pretty good meal! I wouldn't mind coming back. read more

It is not a restaurant at all. It's a hookah lounge that serves food. The owner made it very clear that the restaurant is not his priority. So microwaving my food with chicken that was cooked in the morning. Sitting in a warmer till 6:30. All the signs name and other suggestions point this place to a chicken restaurant. It's far from it. It's a short patient. Muslim ran restaurant that literally insults you for asking questions. My food was done before I could even finish looking at the menu. No vegetables no sauces no garnishes. A waste of $17 for a chicken bowl. I could've bought a frozen pack of this at Stater Brothers for eight dollars in microwaved it myself. read more

We live in Grand Terrace and we remember Chick N Falafel opening in a building that had been vacant for years. When they first opened, we didn't see any vehicles in the parking lot, and that had us worried. We finally decided to try it, was brave enough to enter and order. We had the lamb and chicken kabobs. OMG! Between the service, the hospitality, and the excellent food, needless to say, we loved it! We are here now about once a week! The food is wonderful! It's worth a try. Just even once. read more

Came to Chick N Falafel with some friends to dine in, but we got there right before closing. Luckily, they still let us order to-go, and I'm glad they did. I got the gyro shawarma and wow--one of the best I've had in a long time. It had this comforting, "home" feel to it, even though I never actually had it back home. My friends ordered the beef burrito and chicken shawarma, and we all left happy with our choices. The family running the place was super nice and welcoming. Big shout out to the young girl working the front--she was so professional and confident taking orders, way beyond her years. Honestly impressive! They were sold out of their signature rotisserie chicken, so that just gives me an excuse to come back earlier next time to enjoy the full dine-in experience. Definitely looking forward to it! read more

Great service, everyone was very friendly. Gave us a free sample of an Egyptian "quesadilla" for not knowing what it was, it was pretty good. I have a chicken schwarma wrap and it was good. Wish it had tomatoes and lettuce on it but it was yummy. Good garlic sauce! I need a mint. Hubs had the falafel wrap and said it was very good. Satisfies his craving for falafel. Fries were cooked perfectly. Kid had hot wings and rice. Wings were great! Rice was a little under cooked for us but had excellent flavor. Nice little restaurant! Would try again. read more

Honestly, the food wasn't great. The prices were too high, and the chicken side dish tasted bad. Overall, nothing was really tasty. Thank you for your reply. But honestly, the chicken you served tasted just like Walmart rotisserie chicken. When I came to your restaurant, I expected something special and delicious, not a chicken with no real flavor or taste. I truly came to enjoy a good meal, but the chicken you brought me was disappointing -- even the cheap Walmart chicken tastes better. read more

This restaurant in Colton is a hidden Mediterranean Gem. We drove to Mr Kabob in Loma Linda to find out they were closed on Sundays. So we looked on Yelp and found Chick-N-Falafel . So we go to this restaurant , it's so clean and beautifully decorated. Family style, board games on the side , really!! We were greeted with a big smile and asked many questions about the menu , this kind gentleman Imad helped and guided us to savory dishes. I had a chicken Sharwarma wrap with fries and a lemon Mint drink and my hubby had the Beef Sharwarma meal. It was absolutely delicious. Freshly cooked. For the final touch we shared Baklava and Turkish coffee . Yummy . Come give them a try, I guarantee you will come back again. read more

Super polite owners greeted me as I stopped in for lunch for a first time. They have an amazing large seating area, which is nicely remodeled and could be great for parties or a private events. I saw some chicken wings outside that caught my eye, even though it doesn't seem to be traditional from here and I tried them and definitely would recommend they had a great buffalo sauce on them, but I had to get something that was Representative of their ethnic cooking style which the owner recommended me to get the chicken Shawarma burrito. It was really good. The rice was greatly seasoned and it was a great portion for the price. Definitely split this and have for a two part meal. It came out hot fresh and ready and has good flavor. I did add some of the garlic sauce to it which enhance everything I would highly recommend this place and I think you won't be disappointed. Also, if you want a private dining experience, I noticed it there was Very quiet and not busy during the day on a random Wednesday. Stop in and try this place. read more

I was surprised to learn this place has been there for years -- because it didn't have that established 'homey' feel such places should. The service was very attentive and friendly. But one person decided to tell us his life story, which can be charming but in this case was too much too fast. He also went soft political with us and chose the wrong politics for us. I liked how accommodating the servers were, giving us last minute access to a buffet. Some of the foods from the buffet were quite good. A sandwich we had off the menu, however, was lifeless -- lacking flavor. The wrap bread was also fragile because it was stale. Unfortunately this uneven experience means we're not coming back. In general the Mediterranean food in the Redlands area lacks. All restaurants seem to be rated at 4 and above when they're really all just 3s, so please don't take this personally Mr. Kabob.

They give you a tiny container of tzatziki on the side for your gyro which does nothing for the gyro. There is no additional sauce other than that small side they give you. I recently ordered a family meal to-go, and it was truly fantastic. The meal included a whole chicken, rice, salad, six pitas, and two sauces everything was delicious, flavorful, and made fresh to order. The food was not only tasty but also affordable, making it great value for the whole family. The owners were incredibly welcoming and kind, which added a warm, personal touch to the experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying and affordable meal with friendly service. Definitely a spot I'll be returning to! read more

Decided to kill some time and ended up ordering a breakfast burrito and the chicken fried steak with eggs. The portions were huge and definitely hit the spot. The chicken fried steak was crispy, covered in gravy, and came out sizzling hot. The breakfast burrito was packed with eggs, potatoes, meat, and cheese--more than enough food to keep me full through the rest of the day. The salsa had a nice kick, the hash browns were crispy, and the service was quick even though the place was busy. If you're stuck waiting around for jury duty, work, or just hungry as hell, this is a solid place to stop. Left full, happy, and with a lot less time to kill before heading back to court.

Once inside it gives diner vibes. There's a larger counter dining area and booths around the establishment. I love that you can see them cooking your food. The service was great. The ladies working were friendly and knew the menu. I loved that they were shy and actually engaged with their customers. I ordered the country breakfast. It's their home style potatoes with country gravy, diced ham, and scrambled eggs (I requested over medium instead), and toast. The potatoes were a little under cooked and under seasoned for me but they were still good. The gravy did give a strong country gravy (peppered sausage) flavor. Overall, it was still ok. I opted for sourdough toast which was toasted nicely but I don't know if what butter they used because it was very salty, even with jelly on it. I definitely want to go back and try other items on the menu.

My wife, Chef Ann, felt at home from the minute we walked in. The location was clean, quiet, and cozy. I'm a Type 2-diabetic so I don't generally eat at locations that don't serve brown rice. But Mohammad, the owner, was very accommodating. He prepared a delightful off-the-menu Navrattan Korma mixed vegetables as a a low-carb substitute for the basmati rice. And the lamb curry? OMGoodness-it's the best I've ever tasted! My mouth was having a party! The veggies and lamb were exploding with flavor in every mouthful and spiced to perfection. Ann had the Chicken Tikka Masala, samosas and garlic naan and it was all excellent. By the end of the meal, Chef Ann was already declaring this as our new go-to Indian place. Surprisingly, I agree with her! That's unusual for me, I normally prefer home-cooked meals to eating out. We're so delighted we discovered Beyond Biryani and we can't wait to go back! As we were approaching California & Benton I quickly pointed out, Beyond Biryani. Thats the restaurant I've been meaning to try. My husband and I were the only patrons at the time of our arrival. The dinning area is casual & charming with a hint of coziness. The Beautiful photos of India cuisine that line the walls made me salivate. I just knew I was in for something big. The menu is pretty diverse. It took me some time to decide because I could hardly make up my mind. Our waiter was so patient and kind, bless his heart. Then a young man walked over and asked if we had any questions. It turns out he is the owner. My husband asked a few questions then put in his order. Roti, Lamb Curry and spicy sautéed veggies. Mohammed prepared a speciality dish for my husband who is a heavyweight when it comes to partaking in spicy foods. Mohammed brought it on and my husband was in heaven. The Lamb Curry was tender and spiced to perfection The Veggies had a smoky, charred flavor that he equally enjoyed. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, Samosa, garlic Naan & colorful Battsmatti rice. All i can tell you, is that I was one very happy camper! Right away my thought was....Yes, this is a Great treat ! Mohammed, serviced up Quality & quantity. Over all we are so thrilled that we tried Beyond Biryani today! This is going to be our new go to and I plan on passing the word on to everyone i know. Upon entering Everest Grill and wrap I was greeted by Jimmy, the manager. He shared that the restaurant was previously Maui Hawaiian BBQ and they took over ownership last year. That's how I found out they decided to still serve Hawaiian BBQ but also have Nepalese dishes as well as wraps on the menu. The service he provided was amazing. He took time to go over the menu, all the popular items, and shared detailed information about the items that were new to me. Now let's get into the food and drink because it was absolutely amazing. I really don't have anything negative to say about anything that I tried. To drink, I had a mango lassi for $3.99. It was a beautiful balance of sweet and tart. The yogurt gives it this subtle tart flavor and the mango did not over power it. It was creamy and perfectly balanced. It was a nice refreshing treat on this extremely warm day. The mixed grill plate comes with grilled teriyaki chicken, bbq beef, and a short rib (includes Mac salad, rice, and steamed cabbage) for only $15.99. The meats were juicy, tender, and had a perfectly balanced teriyaki flavor. It wasn't too sweet or salty. The Everest Spicy Chicken (includes Mac salad, rice, and steamed cabbage) for $13.99 and is paired with an in house spicy sauce. This chicken is not glazed, it has a spice rub. It's nothing like I've tried in the past. The rub is not burn your tongue spicy, it's more of a warmth to your pallet. I really enjoyed the crispness of this chicken and the Nepalese spices used to make it. When you pair the chicken with the spicy sauce it comes with, then you get that true spice and it all comes together as the perfect bite. Which is perfect for me because I love heat! The Crispy Fried Shrimp (6 pieces) for $8.99 were exactly as described. I was surprised because for the price you get 6 butterflied fried shrimp that are a decent size and not full of batter. This is a simple dish and I chose to pair it with the katsu sauce. The Spam Masubi (2 pieces) for $6.99 were also good. The rice was nicely steamed but still had a bite, the spam was grilled with some type of teriyaki glaze, and the seaweed was not soggy. My highlight of the evening and out of everything I tried was the Everest Chicken MoMo (10 pieces) for $12.99. This is another Nepalese dish and their pan fried chicken dumplings. They also come steamed. When I tell you this is a flavor bomb, I mean it. The dumplings were lightly fried with crispy edges. They were juicy and full of this deliciously seasoned chicken. They are definitely some of the best dumplings I've had. They're paired with two sauces. One is a mild and well seasoned sauce. The other is the same spicy hot sauce that comes with the Everest Spicy Chicken. It was suggested to mix them and it was a spot on suggestion. The steamed rice in all the dishes was fluffy and fresh. The Mac Salad was a10. Next time I'm requesting all Mac or more Mac. It's creamy but not too mayo-e. It's full of flavor and has its own Stephanie Lopez tastes. They also offer Teriyaki sauce, Katsu sauce, and Louisiana Hot Sauce at their sauce bar. As for the ambiance, it's giving Hawaiian vibes. It's a casual establishment with table and chair dining. The decor is full of Hawaiian inspiration and I love the surfboards. Please don't sleep on this place. It is a must try. I know I'll be back for more food. Especially the Chicken MoMo... FYI they do delivery (Grubhub/UberEats), to go, dine in, and catering. Also, I shared the pricing because I couldn't believe how reasonably priced the dishes were, especially for the portions.

The samosas used to be very crisp, fresh, and delicious. Now, the pastry seems different, and the texture is no longer good--it feels heavy and gummy instead of light and crispy. The service has also changed. When the original owners were present, the service was much better and more organized. Now, it feels chaotic. You wait a long time to order, the food arrives late, and sometimes the bread comes only after you have already finished your meal. The kitchen and service team need to synchronize better so the food comes out together and at the right time. They make it with love 100%. You could see and taste the care they put into the food-so if you're trying to go in then out, it's not gonna happen, but if you can order ahead-I'd totally recommend that as well. The owner recommended next time to order ahead of time if we are on a time crunch (we wouldn't really be but we had a late start and were going to end up in Vegas about midnight...so i def don't regret going-but like the owner said-ordering ahead of time would had been the move!! . But honestly, when we are back in the area I'll ABSOLUTELY come back-and on our way home-i might just have the hub bring us back through! He had a pastrami and i had a roast beef. The 6 inch was a good size for each of us, I'm always down for leftover sandwiches tho. So I'd get the bigger one if i had a fridge to put it in for later!!
