*this review is based on a door dash order . I ordered the pad Thai, pork fried rice, orange chicken and egg rolls. The pad Thai and pork fried rice were average . The egg rolls were crispy and I enjoyed the dipping sauce. The orange chicken was unfortunately not good. Upon opening it, I thought it looked great visually - the slice of orange on top was a nice touch . However, this was incredibly "sticky" looking orange chicken. The sauce was so thick, it was almost like it was coated in jelly. The sauce has a very strong orange flavor which I didn't mind except there was no saltiness to even it out. I had to pour on some organic tamari to help with the taste . In addition, almost the entire dish was just crispy fried pieces ... I hardly got any bites of actual chicken. Taste and quality of the food has changed. Dishes are too expensive to be serving bad shrimp. Ordered shrimp Pad Thai, the shrimp was either left over and cooked twice or freezer burned. Was obvious due to taste, texture and color. Just hope I don't get sick. read more

I've been eating at Jackpot for years, as my parents loved ordering out from here while I was growing up. Tons of items on the menu for whatever preference you have, and plenty of options for vegetarians, which we can really appreciate. I placed an order over the phone for crispy tofu, pad see ewe and pineapple fried rice. I came to pick up the order, and my food was just coming out of the kitchen when I got there. Everything was fresh and hot. The staff was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, and even added in extra sauce, napkins and their vinegar chili sauce. The portions were generous, and full of flavor! Highly recommend coming by for great food for a reasonable price. Really love the casual, homestyle kind of vibe here as well. read more

I used to take the bus with my grandma and my aunty to go shopping at the Asian market next door and get groceries and then for a treat we'd eat here entry everytime we went to the market. This is one of the very first authentic Thai food places I began my appreciation the uniquely robust Thai flavors. Recently I learned the restaurant is now run by new owners, and all I have to say is they have done a spectacular job at keeping the food jam packed full of all the flavors, and maintaining the authenticity of Thai cuisine all together. One of the best Tofu Fried Rices I've had in the area!! It's definitely a "take-out" kind of place so don't expect to sit down for a nice ambiance meal. But when it comes to the food flavors, I have no complaints! (Was I absolutely starving when I ate this meal? Yes. And did that cause a starved-filled haze to cloud my judgment? Last night we 'tried' ordering Thai food from another Thai place (which shall remain nameless) but they did not accept our large order of $180, because they stated that their limit for an order was $100. So I ordered mostly the same dishes from Jackpot Thai, and not only was the food just as good or maybe better than the nameless Thai place that didn't want our money, it was about $30 cheaper. I have not been inside of Jackpot, so I cannot speak to its ambiance; frankly it's not much to look at from the outside, and easy to miss because it's small. But the food was very good, and the prices are probably the best for Thai food in the area. Will order from them again! read more

We usually love Jackpot Thai. Yesterday was a game changer, we likely will never go back. I order a pick up order and they gave me a time that was 35-45 minutes out. My husband showed up 45 minutes later and they had not started our order yet. They asked my husband to come back in 30 minutes. When he came back still the food was not ready. He waited about 12 minutes and still no food. He canceled the order and left. We have had slow service from them before but nothing like this. I can't recommend Jackpot, fortunately there are other good Thai places in the area. read more

Customer service is great! Portions are large. Taste is so-so. This is a To-go restaurant with no flair or fancy appeal (and there's nothing wrong with that!) To-the-point ordering with a wide variety on their menu. I ordered the pad thai, and it had a sort of lemony/citrus taste. Really strange, almost like no taste... I ended up needing to try and add something. I tried ketchup, helped a little bit. I tried honey, and well that helped a lot. I never thought I'd have to add condiments to pad thai to make it taste good, but this was a first. I'd be willing to try a different menu item, but do NOT recommend the pad thai. read more

I have been going to this hole-in-the-wall Thai place for a while now. I have not tried a lot of their menu, but typically any of their spicy mint dishes are pretty good. I usually go for the spicy mint fried rice, or the chicken dish. The food has that home-cooked feel, is not as "strong" flavored as some place, and always hits the spot. Needed a ppace to eat after our trip from Big Bear. Kids werehungry and wanted to eat rice at 1030am. Found this place in yelp. The place is a small establishment. The service was good. Just some of the food we ordered was quite questionable. I was not able to take a pic of the pork bbq but they were slices of multiple pork items and they were small portions and seemed like leftovers. Panang Curry was good. Chicken Satay was good as well. I love this place. But I was a bit hesitant on WRITING a good review for this place because I kind of like the fact that it is always empty when I arrive there. There's only about four TABLES inside so I wouldn't want to always have to fight people just to get a seat. FOOD - Really good Don't get this place confused with the place of a year ago. There are NEW owners here and this cook is REMARKABLE with the dishes she can make with the expansive MENU. The other place, that had THAI plus CHINESE dishes was awful! Everything is about the same here, speaking of the interior. But the food is completely different and it is all THAI! I like to try different dishes because there is so much to choose from. My go to favorite is GREEN CURRY. It's SUPERB here. I go to 4 or 5 THAI restaurants in the area but it's the BEST here. And they even have AVOCADO CURRY! The first time I have seen this on any THAI menu. The THAI ICE TEA is also the cheapest here. SERVICE - Not bad I have been coming here several times a month since last year so I just about know all the faces here. There is only one SERVER. I have come to know her well and we have prolonged conversations sometimes. What else can we do with an empty restaurant. Everybody that works is in their later years in life. So is the cook/owner. And you can really tell by the preparation of the dishes that she really knows what she is doing. She's no rookie here. And the years of experience cooking THAI dishes is evident in the deep FLAVORS. Sometimes it might seem awkward on not being sure if you should get your own menu, shout out your ORDER, or also to get up and PAY your check. I have just got used to SHOUTING out my orders. The SERVICE could use some work. But then again this is not exactly a FANCY restaurant. ATMOSPHERE - Small and cozy First of all I have noticed pictures on here that show the restaurant of the previous OWNERS. So basically if you see pictures here that are dated more than a year ago then it is likely NOT the current restaurant OWNERS. This place is very SMALL. There are only four tables. Well actually three because one table is always occupied by a staff member. I used to always walk passed this place before I ever entered and I thought this was only a take out place. It's not fancy but it's kept CLEAN, so that's important. This is not a place for LARGE groups. So if your okay and content not being with your HUGE gang all the time then you will be comfortable here. The restaurant is in a small strip of about three restaurants that all have different but good food. It seems like an usual place to have restaurants but it's worth giving this THAI place a visit to try out the many diverse plates on the menu.
