MUST TRY! My travel group is staying a block away from this restaurant. A few of them noticed it while walking, tried it, and wouldn't stop mentioning how great it was. We decided to give it a try and were delighted. One of our fellow travelers said he ate there multiple days in a row... and even multiple times in a day! The (owner, I think?) is extremely rude. When I walked up he was telling a group of boys not to come back because they had sat down then decided to leave without ordering. I ordered chicken skewers, salad and fries. He brought out a plate with a hunk of hummus on it with fries on top, which made them soggy. The "salad" looked like minced lettuce and tomato drowned in oil and lemon juice. Very bitter and gross. He got mad when I said I didn't order hummus and asked for a PLAIN salad that was not drowning in olive oil and lemon. He did not listen and the second salad also was drenched in lemon and olive oil. My fries were soggy because they were placed on top of hummus I never asked for and did not want. Very disappointing for my first sit down meal in a real Parisian restaurant. When I asked a question he shrugged and said it was his first day and he didn't know, despite very clearly being in charge. Childish petulant little man. Waitress Rita was really sweet, though. We were visiting the Arc de Triomphe when the hunger pangs hit. There are twelve(!) streets converging on this monument, making it a very busy place and we could have gone in any direction seeking food. Eenie, meenie, miney, mo... We were walking by Nai when an attractive young woman poked her head out the door and practically seduced us to come in. She was very engaging and talkative, trying to get a feel of what we liked. My companion chose the Grilled Salmon (Served with rice and oriental salad) and our host/server/seductress recommended the Mixed Grill (Three skewers of minced lamb, marinated chicken and lamb cubes, charcoal grilled, served with hummus & tabbouleh). Both dishes were prepared very well and had lots of flavour. I really enjoyed the lamb. It was tender and moist. Everything on the plate was good. I didn't immediately realize that we were in a Lebanese restaurant but I'm familiar with some of the flavours and liked what I had. The place is charming and it looked like the front of the restaurant can open up to create a sidewalk cafe on warmer days. The service was excellent. Nai is a Lebanese brasserie close to Arc de Triomphe. We were looking for a late night eat and drink place around our hotel and came across this place. The owner Bernard is very friendly and welcoming. Has a good selection of food and drink options. We ordered the spinach hot pockets and the halloumi cheese toast both of which were amazing. A very good meal and experience. We were strolling down the avenue in search of a good dinner and stopped to take a peak and the menu. We were greeted by a server and she asked us a few questions about what we were looking for and what we would like - if we wanted drinks, food or we lost. It was funny. After she showed us the menu we decided to stay and dine. It was happy hour so I chose the Nai Cocktail, of course. My companion chose rose. For dinner we both ordered the mixed grilled. This was a plate that come with chicken, kaefta, lamb, fries, hummous and fries. The table received pickled veggies. Everything arrived in a timely fashion. Dinner was absolutely worth every euro. The only two issues that I had were the that pickled olives were a little bitter and I had more than my fair share of second hand smoking. Unfortunately, a few patrons sitting closer to the sidewalk were enjoying their evening smoke and the wind graciously shared it with us. I would recommend getting a seat upwind of the wind if you're bother by smoking. Our server was really nice and again I really enjoyed my dinner. I should start with mentioning that I love Lebanese food. Nai did not disappoint. It's located steps away from the arc de triomphe, but it's not a cheesy tourist place. Yes there are tourists, but it's equally balanced with locals. The vibe is casual, they have free WiFi and accept credit cards including American Express. Everything was delicious and the menu was quite extensive offering many options. The owner works to make sure that everyone is comfortable throughout their dining experience and even reminding me to make sure that I closed up my purse upon leaving. Of all restaurants to choose from, via yelp, my husband and I were truly thankful we chose Nai. Service was absolutely good! Food was delicious. I had their chicken special with rice. Chicken and sauce was good but the rice and salad were my favorite on that plate. My husband had a combo lamb, chicken, hummus and eggplant. The chicken skewer was my favorite on his plate. The hummus was super good too. I especially love desserts in France because its not overwhelmingly sweet like desserts in the US. Their dessert at Nai was blasting with aromatic flavor on my tastebuds, had all elements of crunch and smoothness, and not too sweet which I love! To top it all the staff blasted a congratulatory song while serving us a free plate of fruits with candles for our 25th wedding anniversary and asked the diners to join in as well. We happened upon this restaurant after a long, cold walk. A waitress came out to us and invited us in. They have a three course special in the menu, but it only applies to certain items.
