I've been meaning to try this place for quite some time and finally had the chance this week. I have been to their locations Downtown and in Old Montreal and can say that this one is equally as good. Luca & Alexandra were extremely friendly and made our experience a great one. For the appetizer we ordered the buffala mozzarella with pistachio and it came with a small piece of bread and grilled vegetables. There was barely any cheese and it was lacking spices and the vegetables were on the cold side. l'll stick with their arugula salad next time. For the main, we ordered 3 different pizza: grilled vegetables, arugula pizza and margarita with extra toppings on each one. All were delicious and very satisfying. Last but not least, we had their decadent cannolis which were much better than I expected. A definite must to wrap up the meal. Really worth the calories!!! I hate to downgrade a review but my last experience here was less enjoyable than my first. I came with a friend around 21:20 on a weekday. The terrasse was almost full but there were lots of bugs out so we opted to sit inside. Unfortunately, when we walked in, the manager (?) was yelling about something that happened earlier with a customer or employee and he did not tone it down once he realized I was inside. It was really awkward/unprofessional so we decided to eat on the terrasse. Our waiter was very nice. We received menus and water quickly. My friend ordered a salad with pear and goat cheese and I got a caesar salad and margherita pizza. Both salads were good. The portion for the caesar was perfect. The pizza was a bit burnt on the bottom and somehow soggy. I was pretty disappointed with it. I think I prefer the other locations over this one. Overall: 2.5/5 read more

Monkland village is known to have many good restaurants and this pizzeria is definitely one of them! As soon as we arrived at the place, we were greeted and seated right away despite it being quite busy. Since it was our first time here, my partner and I decided to try the classic Margherita (tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil) as well as their Margherita Bianca pizza (Mozzarella, Parmesan, Fior di Latte, cherry tomatoes and basil). Our nice waiter helped us choose complimentary wines for our pizzas and he even let us taste a few options before picking the one we liked most. The food arrived pretty fast, and it did not disappoint! The classic Margherita's tomato sauce was delicious and the Margherita Bianca's mixed cheeses was so smooth and brought out the flavour of the cherry tomatoes. Overall, this pizzeria is a must-try if you're in the area - the atmosphere is nice, the staff is pleasant, the prices are fair and the food is delicious! read more

This is the second time I've come to this restaurant and the pizzas were delicious both times. It's one of the better pizza restaurants in NDG. My favorite was the Porcini pizza, but the Grilled vegetables pizza and the Spicy pancetta and figs pizza were great too. I also liked their Classic Caesar salad appetizer. For dessert, I got the cannolis (2 per order) and they were delicious. The affogato was pretty good too, but I haven't tasted it anywhere else, so I can't compare it to anything. Unfortunately the mixed drinks weren't that good. I tried the Gin and Tonic and the Bloody Caesar and both weren't properly mixed. It wasn't the worst I've ever had, but it wasn't worth the price. Next time, I'll stick with a beer. The other issue that came up both times was the service. Although the waiters were very nice, both times the restaurant was understaffed and it took a while to get our drinks and orders. The second time, they also forgot our reservation, but luckily there was an open spot when we came, so no harm done. read more

I came here with 5 other people on a Friday night (around 7pm) for a friend's birthday. Pros: - Pizza made in a nice pizza oven - You can see them making your pizza if you're seated inside - A lot of toppings on certain pizzas Cons: - Very few toppings on the vegetable pizza. The number of vegetables on it was laughable. - I asked the staff if they could do anything special for my friend's birthday. After asking 2 different staff members, I was told they could either put candles on the table or put a candle in the dessert. There may have been a misunderstanding, but we ended up not getting dessert and we never got any candles, which was disappointing. - The space inside is quite cramped and when it's busy, it's very difficult to get a seat inside. - The pizza did not taste particularly good. It was very ok, but for the price charged, it was thoroughly underwhelming - The staff seemed very busy. I did not feel like they had the time to properly check-in with us. They ran a little all over the place. TL;DR I did not have a great experience. If I'm looking for a more formal pizza meal, I'd much rather go to Il focolaio read more

I was skeptical when my friend suggested this new pizza place on Monkland for lunch....there's sooooo many new pizza places opening and most are like all the other old pizza places (not that great). No 900 is different, it's one of the best pizzas I've ever had! It's minimal ingredients for maximum flavor, not easy to do. The pizza dough is almost a cross between traditional pizza and Indian Nan bread and the result is delicious. Service was outstanding, very attentive friendly staff. It has an almost old world charm to it, like having freshly made pizza in Tuscany (ok, I've never had pizza in Tuscany so I really have no basis for that statement). Definitely give No 900 a try if you live in the Monkland Village or are in the neighborhood, you'll be very happy you did. It's not that we were bored of cooking that day, it was that all the food in the house was frozen rock solid. Thus me and the Missus decided to give "that new pizza place" a go. We were both impressed by the service and the quality of the food but what really rang our bell and pushed our foodie-buttons was their private importation wine list. What might have been a regular night out was transformed immediately into a soirée de découverte. Beautiful wines matched perfectly with our pizzas. Glee!!!! We didn't have desert because we were satiated by the delicious pizzas, but let me tell you, that canolli looked awfully tempting! I think 900 will be seeing us on a regular basis! I just have to remember to forget to take stuff out of the freezer. read more

My MIL recommended this place for pizza so my husband and I popped by one night to grab some takeout. The place is pretty small, but it has a cute little terrace, as many restaurants on Monkland have. The restaurant was full (including a few families with younger children) when we arrived early evening to place our order (Arugula, Porcini with white truffle oil, and prosciutto pizzas). We sat at the bar and had some excellent negronis while we waited. The pizzas were lovely. Nice chewy thin crust, good flavours. I just love fresh arugula on pizza. Note to everyone though: Dine-in if you can, because even though the pizzas were delicious, I suspect that it would have been that much better in the restaurant. I could just see the waiters cringing when giving us the pizzas with all the fresh toppings on the side to be added once we got home. I'd definitely come back to give it another try! read more

so sad on multiple levels. Someone invested a lot of money into building the 900 franchise system. Someone else invested a ton of money to build a standardized franchise restaurant. They even paid a lot for a properly vented pizza oven. But the pizza goes from bland to burned terribly. The company culture at this particular location is indifferent. Skip this franchise and try one of the many other franchises. Hopefully corporate will introduce uniform training and operational standards. With proper training and supervision, they could make incredible pizza. read more

Walked in. Stood around for 5 minutes with a.l bunch of staff walking by and no one cared to ask me if I wanted to sit. Someone finally told me that his colleague would help me out. Originally from Chicago, I know good pizza. This place has very good pizza. And I am fortunate to live around the corner of this restaurant. Having been here numerous times, the Mild Italian Sausage; the Spicy Pancetta and Figs and the Organic Salami are fantastic. The service has always been great and the drinks are reasonably priced. As for appetizers, I would recommend the charcuterie and the roasted parmesan melt. Overall, a great experience every time. Highly recommend. read more

I finallllllyyyy got the chance to try n900 after I heard such good things. I stopped in for dinner on their terrace on a Saturday evening. We received a warm welcome and even though it was busy we were able to be seated outside without very much of a wait. We ordered drinks to start white wine and a bourbon lemonade. The white wine was nice light and little fruity and the bourbon lemonade was good but did have a hint of coconut inside which was great for me but may not be the case for someone who isn't into that flavour. The pizza itself was excellent , delicious thin crust pizza perfectly cooked. The pizza was both light and satisfying at the same time. We tried the prosciutto pizza which was tasty and we tried the fig and spicy pancetta pizza with a balsamic drizzle which was by far my favourite between the two. Perfect mix of salty and sweet :) and not necessarily a flavour combo you will find everywhere. My only complaint was the seating outside was a pretty tight squeeze -I would have liked more room between the tables but it didn't have a negative effect on my experience other than the fact that it got pretty loud with everyone so close together but wasn't a big deal. This is a nice place for a night with friends or family or any pizza loving acquaintances really :) but can also make a nice casual date spot. The overall concept is great. Authentic Italian pizza in Montreal, but sadly it needs a lot of work. The service was that of a brand new staff with minimal to no training. The wine service was some of the worst I've ever seen,(and I am no pro myself). Forgotten orders and the lack to correct situations where very apparent. Just a small cafe with delicious oven fired pizza. We got the "Pizz Egg" on the brunch menu. Spicy porcetta with fresh basil and a fried egg on top. Perfect crust and loved the extra red pepper olive oil for the table. Can't wait to come back and try more!! read more

I literally downloaded Yelp just to review this location because of what a bad experience it was. Staff was casually screwing around and not paying attention to their tables, so much so that other customers were visibly bothered. A 65 minute wait for 2 pizzas that come out under cooked is simply unacceptable. The best part of the experience was paying the bill so I could leave. Other N° 900 locations are not like this, the Monkland location is not being operated to the same standard and this should be reviewed. read more

Food is ok but we had terrible service: took at least 20 minutes to place our order (and it was Monday night), then the server shorted us on our wine glasses and to top it off the manager of the place told us his waitresses were sometimes emotional because they are women. My parents came to visit, and I needed somewhere to take them that would please everyone. I am really glad we chose here. They were both extremely happy with their pizza. I ordered the truffle pizza, which was delicious. I will say that it did not taste very strongly of truffles - in fact I can't even remember tasting them at all, which considering it was the most expensive pizza it was slightly disappointing. My partner ordered a pizza with pesto, and he wasn't a huge fan of the pesto which I believe is almond based, making it slightly sweet. I do wish that there were more non-pork options - be it either vegetarian or not. Overall, satisfying and fairly quality ingredients, just needs a little fine-tuning to make everything shine. read more

I really like this company in general. But my last experience was nothing short of ridiculous. I have had a delivery several times, yet the last time I called I was told I am now not in the delivery zone. When I asked what had changed, the reply was: we only deliver to people in your area to be nice to clients, otherwise if we are too busy, we don't deliver in your area. It was so bad, that I had to come and tell you about my experience. Our city's English newspaper resto reviewer called one #900 pizza the best in town, so I had to try it, and it was practically next door. I selected the gluten-free crust for 3 bucks extra and the Porchetta topping. The first sign of trouble was when the two pizza cooks took my pizza out of the oven and stared at it as if they were trying to decide whether to serve it or throw it out, but Into my take-out box it went though, and I left for home $21.85 poorer. Now, 22 bucks for a 10-inch pizza with an 8-inch topping diameter is pretty steep, so this pizza ought to have been stellar. Well, it was not even close. I should have been payed to eat that thing. The crust was obviously a frozen product that they buy in for the unfortunate few that are actually gluten intolerant. It was hard, over-cooked, over-salted and yes, it actually tasted like cardboard. Maybe actual cardboard would have been more palatable. Sort of like a large, stale, flax-seed Breton cracker. As for the toppings, well, there wasn't much on this pizza, hardly enough to justify the price, and what there was didn't really taste like it was anything special at all. A 4 dollar supermarket frozen pizza would have been infinitely more satisfying. I have certainly produced a gluten-free pizza by myself at home that was miles better than #900's, and that's being generous to #900. Maybe the regular pizzas are better, but there is a definite problem at Monkland Avenue's No.900 Pizza parlour. Firstly, the resto should have the good sense to leave such a substandard product off the menu. Failing that, there should be someone there who will refuse to serve such a poor excuse for a pizza to their customers. Make an excuse, apologize and compensate, but don't ever serve your customers utter crap. read more
