Took my old Cinelli Super Corsa in for a tune up. Francisco did a fantastic job bringing the bike back to life. Amongst other things , a deep clean of frame, conditioning the saddle , lube on the moving parts, new chain, fresh red tape,campy brake covers and put on rear tubular without the mess and aligned straight as an arrow. Cisco modified my cruiser bicycle for me by modifying the crankset to make it easier to pedal. He also discovered that the bearings were worn out (it had a total of 5 miles on it, so the manufacturer had shipped it out faulty). He also performed an overall maintenance to correct other errors with the bike. Services were performed in a timely fashion, and at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Cisco! read more

I found Cisco at N+1 Cyclery when trying to get tune ups for my husband and my road bikes. The competitors in the area were running a 2 - 4 week wait. I googled local Bike shops and found N+1 Cyclery. Cisco said he could do it in 2 days! He is incredibly knowledgeable and CARING! I fractured my wrist 16 months ago and riding was bothering my wrist and I have severe arthritis in my thumb.. Cisco suggested Electronic shifters and hydraulic brakes. Even though I've been riding on the road for 25 years, when I walk into a bike shop I usually feel intimidated. And over the years the staff at the bike shops have done little to make me feel any differently. Not so at N+1. A friend recommended this shop because they specialize in Bianchi. Cisco was very welcoming and helpful. And very responsive. With 2-3 week turnarounds at every other shop, Cisco replaced my broker derailleur the same day. I can't imagine he'd promise same-day turnaround all the time but this was a great first impression. He also broke my will and got me to buy the new bike I've wanted for many years. I got the perfect bike. And, as always, there are some tweaks to be made and he stood by the sale until it was just as I needed it. His passion for the sport is contagious but never condescending. Treat him fairly and he'll treat you fairly. Don't show up with the part you bought from Amazon. There's nothing better than supporting a local business, just as he does with his neighboring businesses. I've been trying for years to build a relationship with a local bike shop. We thought our beloved drift trike had ridden it's last ride. My husband couldn't fix it, no matter how hard he tried. The first few bike places I called didn't even know what I was talking about. And parts aren't made any more. But nothing out there is as cool, even for big money. Cisco is a bike genius, as well as a super nice guy with an infectious personality. He resurrected the trike so that it's better than new. Amazingly he did it fast, and it still cost a lot less than buying one of the pieces of drek sold these days. My daughter is just so happy to have it back. In the meantime, my other daughter's bike needed service. He got that bike turned around same day so that I could pick up both bikes together, in time for the weekend, even though I know he was really busy. That special, personal touch means so much. I live in Framingham and I had seen that there was a bike shop there but it did not look too welcoming. Then I drove by again and noticed that the place was totally different. It had a name outside the shop and there is always people outside looking at bikes. So I took my bike there and found out it is a new owner. I walked through the door at 11:30 am on Monday 11/27/2017 and Cisco immediately dropped what he was doing and proceeded to build my e-bike during the next two hours. He wouldn't allow me to pay nor leave until after I took a test drive to confirm that everything was working perfectly. I really, really, really want to like this place, because I live around the corner, and I'm getting back into cycling after a long layoff. But from the moment I first stopped in with my "bargain department-store bike," I felt like Cisco copped an attitude that was arrogant and condescending, in spite of his protestations that, "we love bargain bikes, because we make a lot of money repairing them..." This attitude seems to persist, even though I've stopped in multiple times now to buy small things, and even donated some salvage stuff for Cisco to use and/or sell as he sees fit. I am obsessed with this place and I never even went there! I called at 9 am on a Monday. Landry's is closed Mondays and every other shop opens at 10. My son's bike needed new pads because they fell off and the tire was flat (again!). The person who answered the phone talked to me and told me that since we had the bike for under a year I should go back to the place I bought it and the brakes could be under warranty. It was! I swung by here on the first nice Saturday afternoon in April with a bike that needed a tune-up, new wheels and wanting to change it to clip in and hoping to learn why my feet always fell asleep when I rode. Cisco was patient and answered all my question and fit in me into new larger shoes. Even though it was a busy day he had my bike tuned up and adjusted and ready for me to pick up at the end of the day. It was closing time when I picked up the bike but he cheerfully stayed late and retaped the handle bars for me too! As a former retail manager I rarely give five stars to any type of retail experience, but N+1 far exceeded my expectations!! I stopped into this store because I believed that the tires on my young daughter's bicycle needed to be replaced. After looking at the bicycle the shop owner told me that they merely needed to be pumped up. He immediately pumped up the bike tires for me without any request for payment, and even gave me some advice about toddler bikes. It's really nice to have someone in-the-know local to me in Natick. I have bought bikes from the previous owner, and now 'Cisco. I like what he has done to the place. He's really turned it around since it was known as Simple Living Cycles... He does good work, has a great resume, and can work on the latest tech as well as make recommendations for any type of riding, and has the gift of gab as well. I try to stop in and visit at least once a month depending on my schedule, and use him for consult on bike projects I am planning. He was also able to consign and sell my old Cannondale bike, and he has some really cool utilitarian ideas using old bike parts. (See his door chimes :)). It's also good to see him actively engaging in the community and promoting local cycling events and working with active/pro athletes as well. The prices are the prices. He is a business man. He will be flexible if he needs to offload older items that are taking up space or if you provide continuous business to him. I find that most things are fair market value, and priced competitively against other local bike shops such as Landry's. I give both places business depending on the hours. If Cisco is closed on Sunday, I'll pop over to Landry's for certain things. Another thing I like about him is that he is a single proprietor, and is generally pretty welcoming, and engages directly with his customers, and has a decent aesthetic and work ethic, and has a feel for the "pulse" of the local demographic and technology. I try to provide any project work I can to him during the off season months, but as a cyclist realize that some things that are bigger jobs should be scheduled. I do not expect him to perform major bike surgery at an instant's notice, but he is fairly prompt with those things when I do. If I stop in and see he is busy, I'll come back unless my need is relatively minor and I need something that day. Overall, there is a good community feel and it's nice to have a resource over the longer term that you can pop in and say hi to, and more often than not, he's found some exotic treasure on display that he has overhauled into a masterpiece. Almost every time I go there, I am saying "Wow" about something or other. read more

Cisco offers a fine alternative to the volume bike shops. He enjoys educating the customer and makes recommendations regarding bikes and accessories based on what would be best for the individual. My wife and I just went there to get her a new bicycle seat. We found out that her seat although it was on a bicycle made specifically for women, was actually a man's seat and not appropriate for her. Cisco also told us the seat was too high and cut the seatpost down to the proper length, and he did this at no extra charge! We look forward to future purchases at Cisco's shop. read more
