Whenever I'm in the neighborhood I always stop by for a falafel pita. They make the best ones. They stuff them to full capacity and the flavor is on point. I always take my food to go, but the employees are super nice and they make your order fast. The place is small (3 tables), but it's very clean. It's a good spot for a quick lunch.
3.5 overall There is a big parking lot, shared with other stores. It is more of a takeout spot, with only a couple small tables inside. I ordered pickup online for 11:30 (earliest available time), and they were finishing up my last item when I walked in at 11:30. The Pita Chips for the Babaganoush were very crisp (maybe a bit overdone?). I'm not sure if that's how it's supposed to be, but it was too hard for me. I ended up using my own crackers to eat the babaganoush and I enjoyed that more. The Malawach and Egg Pita was phenomenal. That puff pasty flatbread is perfectly flaky - a great texture balance with the softer fillings. The herbs tasted fresh and went well with the other flavors. A must get! I'm no expert on falafel (not a fan of the texture), but it seemed good for a falafel. Crisp on the outside and crumbly on the inside. The amba sauce that went with it was tasty with a good kick. The salad sides (eggplant salad, fried eggplant, turmeric cauliflower, and mixed Israeli pickles) were a bit disappointing. They tasted like they just came out of the fridge. Maybe they were made the previous night and taken out in the morning. Would come again just for the Malawach and Egg Pita.
Nana Good Eats [4/5] We wanted to try something new for a birthday, so we tired take out from Nana Good Eats because there seemed to be good reviews. Decided to try a variety of things, so we ordered, fried pickles, puff fries, falafel, chicken shawarma, beef kabab, and an array of salads. I did stick with the tahina sauce because I didn't really like the other sauces. My favorite was the beef kabab and (surprisingly) the salads. They have a good selection; however, it is a little pricey for such small portions.
Nana Good Eats has some solid grab and go food- think Mediterranean Chipotle except much , much better. I ordered a falafel platter (with couscous as the main and 4 sides) which was more than enough food. The falafel is great and no complaints on anything else plus it is affordable- what's not to like? Anyways, Nana Good Eats provided reliable Mediterranean food in an area that doesn't have many options for that.
We ordered delivery and everything was so fresh. I wish I live closer! It's so clean, well packaged and well seasoned. Very healthy option, and I don't get healthy options in Flushing often. I like everything I ordered today. My favorite is the cloud and the beet salad. One thing that I think would make things even better: A little bit salt in the couscous. I ate it with the nana sauce and it's very refreshing as well.
The girl in the front was very rude, demanding and extremely judging of me and my girlfriend. It was our first time in here and wanted a moment to look at the menu and see what all was offered. I grabbed the Chicken Shawarma and she grabbed the Falafel sandwich. Our food was finished and she didn't call us over to let us know and instead stared at us for a while until I took the incentive to ask if our food was done. She simply nodded and handed our bags. The food was okay. But not what I expected. The cold ingredients made my chicken cold. There was a weird smoked flavor coming from somewhere. The bread was stale and soggy with wet mayonnaise. So disgusting! Just an overall bad experience and so disappointing. Worst $45 spent...
After hearing good things about Nana Good Eats, I was excited to give this local spot a try. We arrived close to closing on a Saturday and ordered the Chicken Shawarma Platter and Falafel Platter. Both platters came with 4 sides each so we were able to try the Babaganoush, Eggplant Salad, hummus, Roasted Cauliflower, and tabbouleh. Overall, both the platter's were quite disappointing. The chicken was dry and under seasoned and the falafel was also underwhelming. The best things were the sides, which were extremely fresh. They were also quite pricey so I don't think I will be returning.
Finally got to try this place after hearing great things about it .. love love love ! First of all , the place is small .. only three tables or so but who the hell cares when the service is on point and the food is just as good ! They do have a table or two outside but it was a bit too chilly for that . I got the Moroccan cigars .. not real cigars mind you , the very tasty ones ! You have a choice of meat or veggie wrapped in a crispy phyllo dough served with their homemade tahini .. 5 in a serving and to say those were bangin is an understatement! I also got " The Whole Shebang" .. different platters served over a choice of couscous, basmati rice or Israeli salad . I got the falafel ( perfection ! ) over the salad and you get a choice of four sides and it comes with either pita chips or pita bread . I opted for the chips and let me tell ya , these ain't no Stacy's pita chips , these are the real deal homemade middle eastern pita chips .. crunchy and delicious! My sides were-beets, red cabbage , vinegar peppers and roasted cauliflowers. Everything was fresh and delicious and the portions were perfect ! The owner was super sweet and friendly . You can tell she really puts a lot of love and effort into her food . Heathy , fresh and delicious. Will be returning! 10/10 Definitely recommend!

This restaurant lives up to its name!! I returned the next day after trying out this place for the first time. I tried the chicken shawarma off of the whole shebang section of the menu, which means it comes with basmati rice or couscous, 4 salad selection, AND pita bread or pita chip. We also ordered the Sabich sandwich. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. The Sabich sandwich (a favorite of ours everywhere we go) in particular was one of the best we've had because it was so beautifully stuffed with such a variety of goodness. The restaurant itself is pretty small and it's mostly a to-go friendly establishment. As of Nov 2020, they were allowing in-door (only one table) and outdoor dining, take out, and delivery. The staff were super friendly, all wearing masks, and wearing gloves. The restaurant also offered sanitizers and contactless payment! I wish I loved closer to the restaurant, but I will definitely be back whenever I am in the area. read more
We were recommended to come here by some friends and happy that we were able to come and enjoy their food. This is such a great healthy option in Queens. Nana provides you with delicious and healthy selections with a variety of great dishes. From the packaging to the menu esthetic, one can see that Nana is looking to set the bar. We ordered the Chicken combo for two, which was absolutely amazing! Not only was the food delicious, they also provided a sample of all the dipping sauces, two plump pitas and a salad to boot. One can see that the owners take great pride and love, which permeates in the food. Speaking of the owners they were very friendly and cordial. I feel the family, friendly neighborhood spot vibes, which has just added three new people to their loyal customer base. My little one seemed to enjoy the food as he was happily kicking his Mommy after lunch. That is all the assurance I need to know we made a great choice coming here. Be well my friends. read more

I was craving a good falafel and wasn't disappointed at Nana Good Eats. I want to go back and try their other vegetarian dishes. Maybe even get a combo for 2 or 4! We ordered a falafel pita and shukabab pita. My husband liked his shukabab pita and said it was "good." My falafel was the best falafel I've had in a long time. Green inside and crispy on the outside. Flavorful but not salty. The salad and other ingredients inside the pita were all very fresh and tasty. The pita was pretty large so I thought I'd only eat half but ended up eating the entire thing because it was so delicious! Order from their website and get 10% off your first order. We ordered for pick up and the food was ready at the time we wanted and was hot and ready to go. The restaurant itself is clean, welcoming and the staff were super friendly. Small little store inside the shopping plaza. Really solid food. Their falafel pita us amazing. Be creative, choose your sides, cos everyone's palate is different. Their traditional pairing has sauerkraut which I hate, so I'm so glad I made my own combination! By the way , "what's up doc" for a side is such a cute name. I hope they last a long time in this nice area! read more
Fresh food that tastes great! Perfectly seasoned and very generous portions. There were 6 if us total (2 little ones) and as you can see by the pictures there was quite a selection. We ended the meal with the malabi and it was delicious. I feel this place will expand rapidly and in the time we were there so many customers in and out. It is small so that was the only downside, if they could have a bigger location with more tables it would be perfect. I happened to notice many people walking away due to unavailable seating. But that is my only downside. I know it is more like a fast food takeaway place and I also know Queens rent is very expensive. I do feel they have the ability to franchise out if they wanted to, and have a great opportunity to do so. Will definitely come back the service was so fast and friendly. First time trying out this place and it was absolutely terrific! I normally don't write reviews, but this place deserves all the love and attention. You can tell everything was fresh and made with absolute love. I ordered the falafel platter with couscous and an array of salads consisting of hummus, chickpeas, red cabbage and spiced carrot with a side of moroccan "cigars". I was craving a fresh Mediterranean salad and found Näna. Ordered the chicken shawarma (shebang) and a shishlik (hold it). The shishlik was amazing- super tender meat that complimented the 3 salads I chose (humus, babaganoush, spicy tomato). I ate this so fast I forgot to take a photo! The shawarma was nicely packaged for takeout. For the 4 salad options I had spicy tomato, Katan katan, chickpea salad, and tabbouleh. The rice and chicken is a little dry on its own so definitely had to douse it in sauce. Will definitely reorder from here! read more

Wowwwwww. Wasn't expecting the food to be so good. Honestly, I was expecting it to be okay but the food from here is so so flavorful. I was pleasantly shocked. I had the chicken lemon platter with rice and the three side salad. The beet salad, tabouleh, and the turmeric cauliflower. It also came with fried pita chips which I had to throw away because I was going to eat the whole bag! Oh my, so so so addicting! I highly recommend checking this place out. This place is definitely a grab and go spot. They only have one table inside, this place is tiny! In the summer they have tables outside but now that's it's freezing..just grab it to go! I ordered zattar fries, falafel, baklava, and the eggplant salad from UberEats because of the positive Yelp reviews. I won't be ordering again. The zattar fries were ok. Everything else was tossed in the garbage after a few bites. The eggplant salad was super bitter and a lot darker than the photos online, as well as darker and more bitter than similar eggplant salads I've had at comparable places. The falafel were very hard and tasted overwhelmingly like days old oil. The baklava had a strange aspartame taste. Like a sugar substitute taste, and that's about it. Wasted my money! read more

This place is fresh, flavorful, hospitable, and encompasses a certain charm from the warm owner. We ate the chicken Schwarma and the whole shebang. We were walked through the menu and asked about our flavor profiles. We ended with some of the mint lemonade and dessert. Will definitely be back when we're around! read more

Today 1-19-2020 I placed a large order. 3 different side dishes, the puffed fries, Moroccan cigars, and pastels. They all tasted amazing. Same thing with our main dishes the sabich sandwich and the chicken shawarma. We also picked up a pound of the home made potato and half pound of the following Red cabbage, all you can beet, and half a pound of eggplant salad. Everything in this order was fresh, the order was ready when I picked it up, I also tried the limonana, that drink was something different it was very refreshing. The only thing negative about this order was the dipping sauces, we ordered 5 items that came with 2 small cups of the different sauces. when I got home and checked the order there was only 4 sauces all the same and not sure what kind of sauce it was. it should've been labeled. On the receipt we ordered 4 tahina,3 Amba,2 Schouky, and 1 Nana sauce. There was multiple sauces missing although who ever did this order put a check mark, I don't understand these type of mistakes, it clearly said on the receipt which sauce we wanted. The last thing was my meal the Chicken Shawarma was put together poorly. it was just thrown in a small brown box, this was very disappointing and at $17 you would expect . In the end my meal turned into a food bowl. Those 2 small issues with my order, are the reason I gave only 4 stars in my review. I highly recommend this fairly new store, amazing food and super friendly staff. Just an side note its a small store with only 3-4 small tables. read more

Got some tasty and incredible food from this place today, I can't begin to describe. Got a huge falafel pita sandwich, very generous portion and filling. The best I've tried so far!! But that's not the best part, this place is giving so much value in every single detail, from the names and creativity on the menu, to the greenware side sauce cups that came with my order. Sadly I didn't get to order in person so I didn't get to see the vibrant salad bar and chose my mix ins. I really can't suggest any one thing, there's no wrong choice here. Wow! Tel Aviv comes to NY! This is the best Israeli food I've had in NY, and it's definitely an underserved market. While we have good Lebanese and Turkish places, it's almost impossible to find a restaurant that serves authentic and good Israeli food. Until now. The Sabich here is as good as my favorite place off Rothschild Blvd (called Sabich Ha Sharon if you're ever there). Amazing! read more

Ok. Normally I would complain about the $15 for a falafel platter bc in the city it's about $10-12 only, but I guess the demand for Israeli/Mediterranean food is low in Whitestone, so prices are a little higher. But, guys, the food is delicious! The falafel is so good and they give you so much rice with it. I also got their hummus, beets, cauliflower, and babaganoush, and Ohmigod. They're all so good. I hope they stay in business bc I'm honestly so sick of the pizza and take out Chinese food that's available in this neighborhood. Glad to see them in the hood. read more

I order from here way too frequently. Nana is hands down the best restaurant in whitestone and one of my favorites period. The Salatim is fresh and flavorful and the pita is always so soft. My whole family is hooked & we will never stop coming back for more. read more

Went back last week after over a year and the food was even better. What makes the food great is the pita which can hold all the tasty salads without breaking and the extra touch of putting nana in the sabich took the sandwich to another level. read more

Very inefficient lots of people working here but takes forever to get your food. Overall the food is tasty but small portions for the price. One small side is $8!! Ordered a few items and even with many people behind the counter took almost 20 minutes to prepare. For the price and the wait I'm not sure if I will go back. read more
