Jennifer gave me a very thorough treatment, but I had low expectations considering all the YEARS of other ineffective treatments in the past. Well, I look in the mirror this morning (nine days past treatment) and, BY GOD, the treatment is actually working!!! All of the most visible capillaries are either gone or diminishing. I can't wait for my next appointment. I'm thinking a few more treatments will take YEARS off my skin. (Also, ThermoClear is about half the cost of your average laser treatment.) I went in for estradiol pellets to help relieve a few menopause symptoms. At a later visit, while describing new symptoms, Dr. Rastegar discovered and acknowledged she had forgotten to prescribe progesterone, which is a necessary part of this procedure. She inserted another estrogen pellet before addressing the issue, and added a prescription for progesterone. Once I started taking the progesterone, for the next few months I experienced heavy bleeding and painful cramping, ultimately requiring an ultrasound at my own expense that showed a thickened uterine lining, which is a documented result of receiving estradiol without progesterone. When I raised concerns about the prolonged bleeding, discomfort, and the initial oversight, the response was dismissive and framed as "just a risk of HRT". Dr. Rastegar held no accountability of her oversight, nor did she offer meaningful support. Hormone therapy requires careful management and follow-up. That standard was not met in my case, and I want other women to be fully informed before seeking similar treatment here.

Ali did an amazing job with my Dysport--virtually painless, no heavy or "frozen" feeling above my brows, and she really took the time to understand and treat my specific concerns. Madi was equally impressive. I hadn't done my lips in two years and was a bit nervous, but she was incredibly thorough in discussing what I wanted the end result to look like. She's a true artist. I didn't even need a nerve blocker--her technique was gentle and precise. The results look natural and beautifully enhanced. Both Ali and Madi made me feel confident and cared for. I'll go elsewhere from now on to an office with a doctor who is interested in actively examining a patient's skin and recommending a course of action/treatment, be it for maintenance or targeted issues. If none of that sounds like a problem to you, do know that when I asked her medical assistant a question about the serum being applied to my face for after-care, the assistant didn't know and had to read the label. Also, as far as front desk help goes, way too many assistants that you get bounced around with, taking payment and shuttling you through. The biggest issue for me, though, is the doctor's lack of care/interest/ability to recommend anything.

Prior to meeting with her, I was on Proactiv; it took some convincing, but she eventually converted me to prescription products, which, much to my chagrin, worked much better. Then, I was switched from VitaClear (Proactiv's vitamin/mineral supplement) to Skin Accumax, another game changer. Next, I was subjected to cautery on my sebaceous glands, which was initially very painful on my skin (to me it felt like I was getting stung by wasps), but a magical buzz device made it relatively painless. Finally, I did microneedling with Tegan Ryan to attenuate my acne scars. Throughout this entire process, I e-mailed Dr. Pilkington several questions -- she always responded the very same day. Tegan Ryan is the only aesthetician I've ever had, but she is without question the best. Microneedling was a little scary to me at first (just the sound of it made me cringe). Tegan put me at ease with her calm demeanor as well as lovely conversation -- I didn't feel any pain whatsoever even though she made me look like she'd just beaten me in an MMA fight. After three sessions of microneedling, several scars have not only diminished but practically disappeared! Upon completing the above comprehensive skin treatment plan over the course of just a few months, my skin looks much more youthful, I dare say like Dr. Pilkington's and Tegan's. In any event, I'm in my mid-thirties and am now happily getting carded again on a regular basis. :) Dr. Pilkington, Tegan, and the entire team -- Nicole, Matt, Courtney, Lindsay, etc. -- are truly exceptional. After answering that question (with my concern about potential skin cancer) was I told that the doctors are not accepting new patients. I told the receptionist that it was strange to be asked what I'm interested in first, if the doctor is not accepting new patients. I asked if the answer would be different if I was interested in cosmetic services and she told me "yes". There would be a significant wait, but I could schedule for a cosmetic consult, and I could not have medical concerns addressed at such a visit. This told me everything I need to know about this practice. Skin cancer, which is potentially lethal, is not something they have time for - cosmetics pay much more.

Over the course of my treatments this year, this location has canceled and rescheduled my appointments THREE separate times. I live over an hour away (about an hour and fifteen minutes), so these aren't quick trips for me. Every appointment means planning my work schedule, arranging my day, and driving a significant distance. This latest experience was by far the worst. I was already on my way to my appointment and was only about 10 minutes away when I received a text that my appointment had been canceled. The first explanation I was given was that there was a gas leak at the building. Naturally, I was concerned, so I called back to verify what was happening. During that phone call, I was then told something completely different and that the nurse hadn't come into work that day. I understand emergencies happen. Gas leaks happen. Employees call out sick. Life happens. What I don't appreciate is receiving two completely different explanations for why my appointment was canceled after I had already driven over an hour. At that point after being canceled on for the third time, I told the staff that I no longer wanted to be rescheduled at the Boulder location. I explained that I wasn't comfortable continuing my treatments there because I had lost confidence in the reliability of the location. I specifically asked that my appointments not be rescheduled. Imagine my surprise when I opened my LaserAway app and discovered they had scheduled me for another appointment the very next morning without my knowledge or consent. To make matters worse, LaserAway has a cancellation policy that can charge patients if they cancel within 24 hours. Since THEY created this appointment less than 24 hours in advance, I was suddenly worried that I'd somehow be responsible for a cancellation fee for an appointment I never agreed to in the first place. No customer should have to worry about being charged because a location scheduled them without their permission. The treatments themselves may be great, but customer service and respect for a client's time matter just as much. Especially when people are paying hundreds or even thousands of dollars for these services. Driving over two hours round trip multiple times only to have appointments canceled, receiving conflicting explanations and then being rescheduled without my consent is simply unacceptable. I sincerely hope LaserAway addresses how this location handles scheduling and communication because this experience has completely eroded my trust. I cannot recommend the Boulder location based on my experience.

These are done by a NURSE. First red flag. No results after MONTHS of services because I was told I would see results. Go look at their google 1 star reviews. That's telling!!!!! I wish I would have. This whole place is a scam.

I just moved to Boulder from California and needed to get a fill for my lash extensions. I went to the Center of Attention and had incredible service and care. Melissa and Katie were both excellent technicians and they did a fantastic job of making my lashes beautiful once again. They were also able to educate me on how to properly care for my lashes (which no one had done sufficiently before). They took pictures of my lashes that showed me how my previous extensions were actually too heavy for my lashes and had caused some damage. Luckily, it is reversible if I am careful from now on, but if it had gone on much longer, it may have caused permanent damage. The studio is beautiful and clean, their training and knowledge is far superior to anywhere I have gone previously and they are genuinely nice and very helpful. OMG!! I love, love, love my lashes. Melissa did an amazing job. I was super skeptical about getting lash extensions because I didn't think I would be able get them wet or workout at the gym without messing them up. I also thought they might look fake. I was totally wrong. Not only do my lashes look amazingly natural, I have had them for weeks now and they still look great despite workouts, showers and all.
