I've known Mohammad and Mutasim of MZM for many years. Recently, MZM helped me to restore a rare 2005 Subaru Baja Turbo (5 Speed) that I had acquired. Most other shops would not even touch this car when I first purchased it. When I bought it, it had some obvious engine "gremlins" and would completely lose power steering and electrical systems when taking 90 degree turns. It also had a random misfire that would sometimes appear but no one could ever diagnose fully. Even the local Subaru Dealership thought that this Baja was beyond saving. However, since MZM is extremely passionate about not only the work they do, but also seeing their customers happy with their vehicles and modifications, they took on this project for me. As long as you are logical in your approach, they will help you build it. Long story short, the Baja had head issues and the engine was pulled and overhauled. MZM worked with me, planned out my build, conformed to my budget, helped me to source out quality replacement parts, and kept me very well informed along the way. What I got back is an absolute dream car to me, and definitely one-of-a-kind. I had bought my first brand new car, a 2019 STI. Needless to say I have babied it since I drove it off the lot, and expected the same from anybody else that touched it. Mohammad and Mutasim did just that. I can't say enough good things about their business, Mohammad is very knowledgeable in his craft and will answer any questions you have in a polite and appropriate manner. With a few months of phone tag before I brought my car in, Mohammad helped me choose parts to achieve the level of performance I wanted from my car and never seemed uneasy about the time I was taking to commit to a setup. Once I finally dropped the car off in August, Mohammad was very kind and inviting, showed me around the shop and some other customers cars he was working on. Needless to say, I was impressed. During the process of installing the parts on my car and dyno tuning, Mohammad was very informative, sent pictures and videos of progress, and would occasionally call if they ran into an issue to consult me before proceeding. Quality stuff. It is now February and I have put a little over 3,000 miles on the car since dropping it off at MZM, and I have not experienced the slightest hiccup. I am very pleased with the final results. I would not recommend taking your Subaru or any other car to another shop. I have been a customer of MZM performance since 2002 when I owned a subaru wrx, Mohammed (owner/tuner) recommended the correct steps to take in performance and I took those steps and never had any problems with the car. Later down the line I sold the car and bought a Nissan 350z , ended up slapping on a Greddy Twin turbo kit and was completely satisfied with the outcome and performance. My next toy ended up owning a Subaru Sti, which I completed a stage 2/protune with MZM and again was completely satisfied with the reliability and performance that was given to my car. My final project is currently a Lancer evolution GSR and they also have worked on the car. (as you can see I LOVE CARS) . my whole point of this review is that MZM knows what they are doing and I am one of those customers that keeps coming back. I've been an MZM customer for 2 years now. They always do quality work on my Subaru Legacy. The great thing about MZM is that they provide both regular maintenance and performance modifications so they are truly a comprehensive one stop shop. I always get quality and honest feedback from Mutasim and Mohammed. Theyve installed lowering springs and downpipe/ Cobb AP.. they recently helped me diagnose a check engine light issue that was affecting my car's driveability. I also had my 60k mile service completed at their shop and received regular updates from them while they had my car. They even went the extra mile and sent me pictures of a defective part that needed to be replaced that i wasnt aware of. They always provide the best recommendations when I'm considering an upgrade or maintenance, and theyre willing to talk in depth about my considerations; I never feel rushed out the door like at a dealership.. this is a quality that I value in the auto/mechanic industry. I discovered MZM last January when my stock turbo burned out of my 08 wrx. I was given Matsuin's business card by the service department at Subaru Georgetown. After getting bit by the wrx "bug" I wanted to put a more powerful turbo in my car since I was replacing it. The dealership would install but they were unable to insure the work or tune the car. My car was already at a friends shop deconstructed so I just had him install my bolt-on upgrade. That's when I first brought it to MZM to have it tuned. Since then they are the only ones I will let touch my car. They do my regular maintenance, fuel pump/downpipe install, and everything else that comes up with a car that's driven pretty hard with 85 k miles. My only regret is that I didn't find them the first 2 years I owned my car. I can't speak for other car owners but if you drive a WRX this is where you want to take it to insure that it's taken care of by people who love your car as much as you do. read more

Mohammad and the crew at MZM Performance are phenomenal. I own a 2015 STI and recently had a COBB Stage 3 FF kit installed by a DIFFERENT shop down south and everything was "ok", but MZM and I started to realize that there were many mishaps with the installations ( hoses misaligned, electrical issues, etc) Simply, the car was not running like it should. MZM helped me diagnose, correct, and repair the car to fantastic working condition. I learned a valuable lesson here, take your car to the BEST the first time. MZM repaired my 2006 Subaru WRX Limited Wagon after my throw-out bearing seized and clutch failed. Mutasim knows that I have 5 year old twins and went out of his way to get my car repaired quickly. MZM replaced my timing belt last month as part of my scheduled maintenance also. Both times MZM has been thorough and done a great job. The pricing for parts and labor has been fair as well.
