    Hardware store sign

I loved this coffee shop. I sat on a comfy leather sofa and had a yummy coffee while taking a training class online. The coffee shop is housed in an old hardware store. They still have the hardwood floor and a sign from the old store. I love when old stores are redone into new stores. I have to say I was really surprised by the number of people in the store. I guess that proves that others think it is a good as I did. My only complaint was that music was a little loud. People were talking really loud to be able to hear each other over the music. I will definitely go back next time I'm in town.

Super cute spot in downtown Van Alstyne! The coffee cake was delicious and moist. I had the sweetness latte which was a great balance of sweet and espresso. My husband had an iced caramel coconut and it was veryyyy coconut. I barely tasted the coffee then again I'm not personally crazy about coconut so don't let me judge it. Even cuter boutique next door and all around that area nowadays. Grab a coffee and do some shopping! It's lovely here!

Fantastic local coffee shop that roasts their own beans and has inventive espresso drinks and great baked goods.

I will say it's very rich very filling and for me I only ate a couple of pinches and I will just get me a pincher two every so often when I'm feeling the need for a little snack throughout the day. When Moore little added bonus here, I did mention we buy the coffee beans and grind them and that is our daily coffee at home however, those that use Keurig's : you can purchase those as well. They will roast grind and package the Keurig fresh. We get those for my sister and ship them to her in Oklahoma City. I know that sounds like a lot, but our family is coffee Connoisseurs; we'd like to say (ha) we definitely think this coffee is worth!!

Hands down one of the best roasteries I've been to…read more I'm not big on coffee (this disappoints all my coffee friends) but I did deeply enjoy the latte I drank here. I could taste the quality and how they had recently roasted the beans. I enjoyed the richness and depth of the coffee beans in the espresso. I also really liked the kougin amann - I feel this is how they should taste; crispy outside, fruity inside, no hassle when I chew and keeps me relaxed. The staff is exceptional - I liked how the owner struck up a conversation with us about where we are from and my friends traveling. The vibes are that of a roastery with massive brick walls like a Brooklyn warehouse with cozy seats, games, and (assuming) art from where they get their beans. I'll be returning :)

One of these indie shops is Full City Rooster. I stopped in twice and had an iced Latte. The crew was great. Very nice, good eye contact, they seemed genuinely happy and made some good casual conversation. The coffee was fantastic as well. Good pull on the espresso, not burned, and the balance of milk to espresso was ideal. The space itself is cool, (feels smidge stark as far as seating), but the aesthetic and atmosphere, as well as the patrons, made this spot a fave to stop in.

From the owner: Kings Koffee is a micro-roaster based in Allen, Texas. We specialize in single-origin roasts, which…read moreis to say we do not offer Coffee Blends at this time. In addition to our single origin offerings, we only roast small batches. Small batch roasting allows us to keep control of our quality and contain our bean loss in the event that one of our roasts does not produce according to our standards. Because we only roast single origins and in small lots our sales model is based on a limited amount of finished product being available for purchase. Once it is roasted, and all of it is sold we move on to our next single origin product. This system allows us to keep our product waste to a minimum; our cost lower, and provides our customers with unique and fresh coffee. What Makes Us Different from Large Retail Roasters: As with any type of produce, coffee crops have cycles. These cycles are what allow us to obtain different coffee's at different times of the year, which means we can offer coffee's to our customers that large retailers cannot. The "Big Boys" order millions of pounds of the same coffee every year from massive "Estate" coffee plantations. Smaller coffee farms that offer rare and interesting coffees are skipped over because they cannot produce enough beans to satisfy the demand of large roasters. This means that Kings Koffee can purchase these smaller farmers product and offer a unique creation to our customers...
