Brought it back and all 8 backlights are renewed and itll hopefully get many more years. He helped me get it back up and running too. At first things didnt seem to be working, but after tinkering with it i found the issue and i factory reset the tv and that seemed to do the trick. It seems the tv was very cranky from being worked on and having its guts removed it needed a full reset. I wanted to wait a day or so before writing my review just incase something happened. But im happy to say everythings good! I would definitely reccomend this guy if you need your tv fixed right! His prices are very reasonable too. More affordable to repair my vizio model than to buy another outright.

My SONY 3D TV picture became a pixelated mess on Sunday and I spent Mon and Tues researching how to fix it. Everything online said it can't be fixed. I called three highly-recommended repair shops and none of them would even touch it after looking at the screen captures. All three told me to throw it out and get a new one. 3D TVs are obsolete now and there are no new ones to get! Frustrated, I forced myself to accept reality. I had just put the TV in the doorway to be set out by the trash on Wednesday when John returned my message and said he could fix it and would be by in an hour to pick it up. I looked up his Yelp reviews and they were eyebrow raising, to the point of too good to be true, and my cynical nature was setting up red flags all over the place. He showed up and was cheerful, respectful and completely confident he would have it repaired and returned "hopefully by Saturday, but definitely by Monday." He loaded the TV in his car and was off and I spent the rest of the day wondering when the call would come where he told me he couldn't fix it after all and it would have to be thrown away. But yesterday, 24 hours after taking the TV away, he called to say it was fixed and he was on his way to deliver it. And he did. And it was fixed. And I don't know what he did, but the picture actually looks better than it did before he picked it up. And the 3D works great. And the price was very fair. And I feel like I dreamed the whole episode. My God, what a world this would be if every business was like this! If you are ever in need of TV repair service, let this guy be your first choice.
