Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who took my name and I filled out necessary paperwork. I then was called back with Rachel the technician was extremely nice, friendly, helpful, personable and knowledgeable. After my exam I seen Doctor Shiau- He is the best! Ask him anything and he will explain it all to you so you can understand. He friendly, kind, personable and makes time to answer all your questions. (Easy to understand answers) Then he led me out to talk to Raz she looked up a price for some sun glasses then made sure the price was correct with my discount. read more

MyEyeDr - Anatomy of the Eye - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

Try having kind professional competent front desk clerks available to assist potential clients correctly. I previously made an appointment to come in and shared my info to get an eye exam. Came in today to be told by their front desk lady (upper middle aged chubby lady with very short hair) they didn't take my insurance after all. All with in 3-4 minutes and being told the appointment had to be paid for in full at $143.00...she then tells me I need to come back at 1:30 pm with a nasty sarcastic grin and undertone. The place was disorganized and needs to address not having their act together. Don't know which was worse... being told afterall...they don't take my insurance to...within a couple of minutes i now needed to pay their cash rate of $143.00 plus come back at 1:30pm. My time is very valuable to me. Get your act together lady! I will not go back. Don't trust their incompetence. read more

I'm having difficulty adjusting to progressive lens. The distance seems to magnify and sharpen which feels weird like the distance is closer than it actually is. However I have 30 days for a no questions asked full refund. I love the friendly professional service. They put the customer first. It matters to me how a business handles it's difficulties and they seem to be all in for the customer. read more

How can they improve? Let start with the rude unprofessional woman at the desk. I came in for an eye exam and she refuse to provide assist. They probably have too many clients and they are not looking to expand their business. Never coming back again! read more

The glasses I chose didn't really work out too well so I made the call and I went back and effortlessly they accommodated me and we picked a new pair. I also had a problem with a bill and when I went there, the next day, the bill had already been taken care of. Dr Shiau is absolutely the best! I have been seeing him for 5 years and he's always been truthful and frank with me. read more

One receptionist at the front desk was so rude from the minute I walked in. She asked me if I was aware that I'm just down for an exam and not to be fitted for contacts. I was confused because you can see in my chart I wear contacts and always order a yearly supply. She then rudely explained it again to me like I was stupid. Then acted like she was doing me a favor by adding in a contact fitting. She seemed like she did not want to be there. And was bothered by customers. I've been coming here for over ten years and will not be going back to this location again. I told the other receptionist that she was very rude. No one came to talk to me, or ask why I felt that way. In fact I saw her tell the other one, (that I said was rude) and she made a loud comment about needing to talk to the other receptionist later. Seemed a bit passive aggressive towards the situation. Do better or move her away from the front working with customers. read more

This is the WORST MyEye Dr office because of the front desk staff and manager! I have been to a few MyEye Dr, and this is place is awful! The customer service is terrible! I had to get a prescription recheck - they sent me to a different office and apparently other providers will not do rechecks! I didn't know until I got there. Then I had to wait a month to get a recheck by the original dr. They wouldn't fix the problem quickly. Most recently, I placed a contact lens order via phone, and they mailed me the wrong prescription. They then wanted me to come to the office TWICE to return the wrong prescription boxes and a separate trip to pick up my new boxes. I would never recommend going to this place because the staff is so unhelpful and rude. The provider is fine and thorough but dealing with the front desk staff and manager has been the worst, most frustrating experience. read more

I called in to make an appointment and they had an opening the same day however I wasn't able to snatch that appointment up because I had to work. They had another appointment for a week later and I took that one. The staff there was super-nice. My wait time was very short, which I always appreciate. My time is valuable and I hate when I go to a Dr's office and have to sit around waiting forever. They were very respectful of my time. When it was time to pick out new frames the assistant shared my enthusiasm and excitement over picking the perfect pair. I love that level of engagement. I'm definitely a fan of MyEyeDr and will continue to go there for my vision needs. read more

Recently I had an eye exam and they recommend for me to get new lenses which I did shortly after the arms on my glasses broke when I come back in they have no interest of helping you other than just selling a lenses or a new frame read more

Made appointment, no wait. We had gone in before our appointment several days before and tried on frames and received information on all options. Very helpful with selecting frames and picking the options we wanted. read more

This was a great experience. I knew that I needed an eye exam because I failed to get one in 2018. Plus I had LASIK surgery several years ago and had my eyes calibrated with one eye for reading and the other eye for distance. In order to enhance my golf game I sought advise for the best contact strategy for addressing that. The doctor recommended a daily wear lens to add clarity from my designated reading eye. That has really worked great for me and the added clarity when I am driving makes them great for road trips too. I could not be more satisfied!!! read more

I had a great experience. I easily scheduled my appointment online, they called the day before to confirm, and on the day of I had the shortest wait time I've ever experienced in a doctor's office. Everything was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Joyce was efficient and knowledgeable. I have been to other myeyedr. locations in the past, and this was by far the best. They are also open Saturdays and some weekday evenings, which was very convenient. With Covid, they made sure to sanitize everything. They give you a mask, which I wore over my own mask. I will definitely be going back for my next visit. read more

Called a day in advance and was able to get a exam appointment for the next day. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend family and friends to this particular location. read more

Dr. Joyce is one of the best eye care professionals I have ever seen. Office is always clean and the staff gets the job done.

Dr. Joyce is the best. He is very patient and takes time to talk with you and doesn't make you feel rushed. I have been going to him for several years and am very please with not only him but the entire office. They are friendly and welcoming and very helpful. I highly recommend them!! read more

Made my appointment the day before and had zero wait time when i got there. Dr. Joyce was super friendly and professional. Was able to order contact there and they match the lowest prices on the market like Walmart and saved me lots. Would highly recommend!! read more

I have been here for 4 pair of glasses. My initial prescriptions have never been correct. What makes it worse is that they made the same mistakes every time. Then when the replacements were made something was always wrong with the replacements, forgot that, didn't update something else, warped the frames adjusting etc etc. Moved on to another location and won't ever be back. Go somewhere else. read more

Staff was friendly and the office was clean. The doctor was super easy to talk to and gave honest opinions. Will return.

While the prices can be slightly higher here than at a Walmart or Sams, they more than make up for it in customer service and standing behind their products. ALL of the staff is great, from when they greet you at the door until you leave. Dr. Joyce is a great doctor who takes enough time with you and listens to your concerns. This place doesn't feel like an 'eyeglasses mill' but like an actual doctors office who is concerned with my long-term eye health. read more

Excellent experience! Dr. Joyce and staff are great! They have great options if you don't have insurance and even with insurance they price match to make sure you are getting the best deal. Highly recommend myeyedr! read more

Dr. Joyce is awesome! He's got a great sense of humor (and not bad looking, to boot). :) Seriously, I had an excellent office visit and purchased a pair of glasses and sunglasses. The office staff is wonderful, as well. Would definitely recommend and will certainly go back! read more

My experience was really good! Very friendly staff. The optometrist knew exactly what my needs were. They gave me all the time I needed to choose frames. I never felt rushed, unlike the way my old optician did. My family and friends now know where to go for all their eye care needs. read more

Beware the hidden charges! While the staff is very kindly and engaging, it is clear after visiting, that what they really care about is their profits. I have insurance and didn't know what it provided so I asked them to look it up, which they politely did. During my eye exam, they tried to get me to take a test that would be an additional charge but would detect and extremely rare (especially for my age), though scary sounding disease. I guess I should have detected the up-sell philosophy here. Then, when buying my glasses, my wife and I both clearly heard that our insurance would cover everything except the co-pay that day. Later, I received a bill and, when I asked them about it, they said that insurance wouldn't cover the lenses selected. I explained that I had only selected those lenses because I was told, by them, that there was no charge and asked them to remove the charge. To date, they refuse to accept that they stated there would be no charge. I'll be going somewhere else that is honest to do business with and isn't just trying to take money from my pocket. read more

I have been going to this office for a few years now, and they are really impressive. Dr. Joyce is very knowledgeable and friendly, and the front desk staff is upbeat, professional and helpful. I was very pleased with the deal I got on my new contact lenses and they are working out just great. Pricing is very competitive and service is excellent. In today's world, it's sometimes hard to find that magical combination of good service, knowledge and good prices, but I would highly recommend this office for all three. read more

Positive, professional and energetic staff. Met my eye care needs without any issues. Very satisfied.

My wife and I really enjoy Dr. Joyce and the MyEyeDr staff. He is professional, friendly, and provides thorough exams. Dr. Joyce has been very helpful in making just the right changes to my prescription that has greatly improved my glasses. We would also like to thank Erica for the best frame and lens purchase ever. I have been ordering my glasses from this store for several years (before it was MyEyeDr). They have been nothing but professional and knowledgeable in selecting/ordering new glasses. I have never had long waiting times, and the staff are incredibly helpful. I will definitely go back there for my next pair of glasses. read more

Just received my glasses and wanted to drop a review for this place. Everyone was so kind, caring, and compassionate. Dr. Joyce exceeded my expectations in what I was looking for in an eye doctor. He was sweet and very knowledgeable. You could tell he loves his job by how he conducts himself. He sat down with me and explained the photos of my eyes, he explained the different parts. I understand now more than ever about my eye health. His staff was amazing as well, the lady who helped me pick out my glasses was awesome. The first pair she picked up I fell in love with, when we tried other ones I was stuck on the first frame. She recommended prescription sunglasses and I told her I don't keep up with sunglasses well, and instead of trying to make another sale on another pair of glasses (they had a deal going on which she did mention) she recommended transitions. I have been wearing these glasses for 3 days and I am just so happy with the experience and product. These people really know what they are doing and I highly recommend them! read more
