This review is for Jimmy Saba, the Optician at Eyemart Express in Raleigh, NC. I have a pair of vintage limited edition platinum Cartier rimless glasses that needed new, updated lenses. However no one would touch them because they were rimless, platinum and extremely expensive. However, Mr. Saba had no problem personally taking on the challenge and made me new lenses at their usual affordable price and I'm so thankful. I took the time to personally call and thanked him because he just became my new Optician......but he doesn't know this yet, Lol !! Omg... do not trust this business! They will pad the bill .... Even though they send all those coupons and have commercials.. when you get there... they will try to find a way that you don't qualify for that deal!! We have insurance and we wanted the high dollar lenses .... My wife needs progressives... and they messed those up so she could not see. When you go back... they say you have to get a new exam to prove the Rx is still good.... Even though we got the exam the same day we ordered ... then we wanted the free second pair ... which we didn't qualify for while we waited until the glasses came back... so I paid $130 which she swore was the cheapest progressives could get... she then started processing the third pair ... I realized she charged me for tinting the quick pair even though she didn't tint them. Then I looked online and it was 2 pair of progresses for 69... her response was ... well you have to get two ... really .... At that point it was taking so long .. I just didn't feel like waiting for her to undo that transaction since we still had more glasses to order. When I asked if I could get refund she said .... You can just have tinted later or get refund when you come back. That turned out not to be true. They probably made about 1800 on us and now they are refusing to refund us $29 for services we didn't ask or receive. It's ridiculous... the specials are a scam! read more

I don't want to be rude and leave negative reviews but they seem to have a difficult time understanding something very simple. Especially Daniel if I'm not mistaken he didn't understand what I was saying. When I first got my prescription updated I bought glasses from them and they were fine I could see perfectly but the second time when they had to repair it was a little off. I kept telling them something was wrong and of course they told me it was fine but my eyes were straining which is unusual. But they kept telling me that since I updated my prescription it going to be different from the previous one which is not what I was complaining about it the fact that they mess up , I'm not upset clearly whoever fill it accidentally mess it up and this is when they have to fix it and they won't admit that it wrong. At this point I just want my $144 so I can take it to someone who is more advanced or experienced. read more

He gave us a breakdown of everything and when we wanted to know how much it would be if we added something else, he had no problem revising the quote and giving us the information we requested. I was however disappointed upon pick up that he was not there. The staff on pickup simply wiped my glasses and handed them to me. No adjustments to ensure proper fit or anything. I snapped my glasses in half luckily I had prescription safety glasses I could use. Of course when you go to a regular eye doctor it takes 2 to 3 weeks to get glasses so then I tried to see if Walmart could make me a quick pair but they couldn't but they told me about this place so I tried it on Saturday 5th, and can I just say they are LIFESAVERS lol I have a trip next week and just couldn't walk around in safety glasses. Eyemart Express helped me out I got 2pair for $60. I went in @1pm and both of my glasses were done by 2:20pm the same day. I also love the cases they came in it's a smooth black and the second one is a pretty blue. I've ordered my pair from my original eye doctor but now I have two backup pairs for a price you can't beat! read more

Walked into the store today to get my glasses repaired again. This was the second time in less than a month that the lens came out. After about 10 minutes the young lady came out, said that she noticed that the finish on my medal frame had some chips as well so she just replaced the frames! Free of charge. The selection is limited. Not many designers to pick from but I am guessing to keep the cost down they have to have a pretty plain, standard selection. Staff was nice although the guy that helped us each time we went in smelled of cigarettes. The employees are rude beyond measure, and the quality of the glasses are subpar regardless of how much you spend for the best materials. If there is a problem, don't expect fast service when you come back. You will wait in line behind all the other suckers who haven't purchased their glasses yet. They kept my husbands second pair of glasses in their cabinet for two years without contacting us. I had mine remade 2 times before I finally just asked for a refund. At this place, you will definitely not get what you paid for... find another place. Recently went in for new glasses and was so pleased at the service I have to comment. Jimmy the store manager helped me with my selection and told me I would get a free pair also. I told him I didn't need them for myself, but could he place reader's in a pair that I could donate to a group going to Haiti to help in a clinic. He said of course and that he had other clients who had left their second pair for donations. Jimmy offered to donate some of those for this group. I was able to bring them over 30 pairs. Hope to get pictures soon so I can go back and show him were his good will was received. I had never been so impressed with a company. My son drives for a living lost his glasses. I come in an hour before closing praying for a miracle. The man on phone said they were short handed so pretty sure they couldn't be done same night.
