I love her office, her staff is so friendly and welcoming and her eyeglass selection is endless and I always walk out having ordered a much more trendy and fun pair of specs than the year before. I now own 5 pairs of glasses. This is awesome and ridiculous at the same time. I am a glasses-wearer. I am not going to ever get laser surgery and I'm blind as a bat (are bats really blind??). I don't enjoy wearing my contacts full time b/c I spend most of my time online and driving is miserable, so I like looking cute and being able to see. What do I love about Lacy that goes beyond making me look cute? She is smart and professional. She has updated equipment that allows her to really get to know your eyes. She takes her time and doesn't rush. She is efficient and polite, making you feel at home and she listens. I really appreciate that a lot and it isn't an eye glass factory. Her sole purpose is her patients and their eyecare - not selling you as many pairs of glasses that you can buy for $100. She relies on her intimate knowledge of the eye and will refer you on if she is uncomfortable or feel you need additional care. She does this in the best interest of her patients. I love THAT above all else. My son is only 3 and she saw him even though her specialty is more adult eyecare. She was honest when it came to the challenges of doing eye exams on small children and did her best to get him into a prescription that will help him see better. She was able to confirm what I knew for 2 years - that he can't see very well. She is going to follow up with me in 5-6 weeks and has let me know that she may request a 2nd opinion to ensure her diagnosis is accurate. I trust her explicitly but it's good to know that she is willing to get additional help for us should we need it. Max is getting his new pair of glasses (that are SUPER cool, trendy and as kid-friendly as possible) tomorrow and we are all excited about it - thanks Dr. Boggs. You rock! WELL worth the drive so check her out if you are looking for an optometrist who CARES about your eyes.

I have histoplasmosis scarring on the back of one eye, and the doc walked me through my eye images, explaining what that means and how it could potentially affect me in the future. I grew up going to yearly visits knowing I had this issue, but no one has ever taken the time to talk me through if, which I appreciate as someone with a working knowledge of anatomy. I want to know as much as I can about my own medical info, so I am really over the moon. Highly recommend!

Messed up my prescription years ago when ordering glasses, which took multiple visits to get right…read moreand never fixed my contact prescription to match, even though I paid for that service. Called over the phone to ask for details of updated script and was told I need to pay again if I want help, in a very negative tone. Went to the doctor and the receptionist instantly told me they would call the police if I didn't leave. Eventually the doctor spoke with me and told me that it was my fault and I accepted the bad prescription. They are great as long as you do exactly what they say, otherwise they will treat you very poorly and basically insist you go elsewhere. The customer is only as valuable as the doctor believes that you'll swipe away without asking questions. Also back when they finally got my glasses corrected, I received a text saying to schedule an appointment to pick them up. I didn't understand why I would need an appointment so I just went there to pick them up. Apparently the doctor was having lunch and she had to unlock the door to hand them to me. I'll never forget the look of disdain she had for me, so none of what happened today (above) surprised me l. I was a huge bother then and an even bigger bother today because I asked questions instead of paying right away. I've had good work done there before and she seems to be good at her job most of the time, but it appears that her ego (big shot doctor, (eye roll)) is seeping into how they believe that they should treat customers. The check in process was smooth and very organized. They sanitize your hands as soon as you arrive, take your temp and have a spot for clean and used pens. Little things to some people but it's something I appreciate considering we still have the pandemic going on. The office was bright and cheery. The rooms were nicely decorated to give you a good vibe. I scheduled for eye exam and contact lens exam. I am a first time contact lens user. I had an exam last year with another eye doctor's office but I felt like I did not get enough support, patience and teaching from the other eye doctor's office and hence I did not continue/succeed with using contacts last year. But as the famous song goes, "If at first you don't succeed, brush yourself off and try again". Not sure if those are the exact words to the song but you get what I mean.lol. And yes so I did try again and scheduled an appointment at visionelle eye care. I am so glad did! I should have chosen them in the first place! Believe all the good reviews you hear and read about Dr. Thomas! She is amazing! Let's face it, going to an eye doctor appointment is not really something a lot of people look forward to doing. I actually dread it that's why I appreciate all the little things and every effort this office does to make patients feel more welcome and comfortable. I could really go on and on about how awesome Dr. Thomas is. She has great bedside manner! She is very personable, her smile and laugh is contagious! She took her time to get to know me, my concerns, family history and the entire exam itself was done with lots of care. You feel like you are talking to a friend and she really made me feel at ease. She was very patient and supportive while I was trying to muster the courage to put the contacts in and out of my eyes. I did not feel pressured and I was constantly reassured by Dr. Thomas that I can do it. She really took the time to be there and coach me. I did not get that kind of support from my previous eye doctor. Hence, I think Dr. Thomas being really supportive helped me a lot to successfully get the contacts in and out this time! I really don't have the right words to describe how thankful I am to Dr. Thomas. Being able to wear contacts even if just on some days is life changing for me. If you are reading this, go ahead and schedule your appointment. As a fellow human being, I would also like other people to have a wonderful eye exam so I am sharing my experience. There is not a lot of eye doctors like Dr. Thomas. She is one of a kind and just truly amazing!

I had a really positive eye exam here a week ago after being years overdue for an eye exam. I tend…read moreto drag my feet on the self care/health department (no hair cut in over a year...anyone?) but I had heard great things about Invista Optical from a friend and it didn't hurt that they're conveniently located one mile from my house. I was able to easily schedule my appointment over the phone after a few rounds of phone tag and found a lovely appointment at the end of the day on a Friday to make for easy work scheduling. All three of the staff I encountered were professional and answered my questions about COVID safety precautions and cleaning processes. They also took my temperature upon entry. This particular visit was just for an eye exam but it's worth noting that they have a fun lineup of prescription (and non) sunglasses and glasses. Invista Optical is conveniently located a little over a block from the Cultural Trail and Mass Ave action making it especially handy for downtown dwellers and employees. Would recommend!
