With that being said, I cannot express how much of a relief it has been since I began receiving optical care from Dr. Porter. Upon my first visit, several years ago, I explained that I have significant optical genetic risks within my family and that I really wanted to be able to keep a close watch on the health of my eyes. Dr. Porter was fully knowledgeable, reassuring, patient, and took the time to explain everything in depth; she even took photographs of my retinas to ensure we could keep track of them in case I ever sensed any changes or problems arise in the future of my vision. Not only is Dr. Porter phenomenal, but the rest of her staff is filled with many warm and welcoming personalities that are always kind and helpful. I decided to take her to Riley for a second opinion, the Riley dr got her bad eye 20/20, also told us she absolutely doesn't have a lazy eye! We got a new prescription for her glasses. When I took them back into dr Wilson's office they refused to fix them. Dr Wilson said that he didn't want he seeing 20/20 and that he never once said she had a lazy eye! To say that we are mad and disappointed is an understatement! I have talked to the Riley dr and he said that it makes no since why he wouldn't want her seeing 20/20 except he was just trying to make more money off of us because he wanted us to come back every 4 weeks to "check" her lazy eye! Called over the phone to ask for details of updated script and was told I need to pay again if I want help, in a very negative tone. Went to the doctor and the receptionist instantly told me they would call the police if I didn't leave. Eventually the doctor spoke with me and told me that it was my fault and I accepted the bad prescription. They are great as long as you do exactly what they say, otherwise they will treat you very poorly and basically insist you go elsewhere. The customer is only as valuable as the doctor believes that you'll swipe away without asking questions. Also back when they finally got my glasses corrected, I received a text saying to schedule an appointment to pick them up. I didn't understand why I would need an appointment so I just went there to pick them up. Apparently the doctor was having lunch and she had to unlock the door to hand them to me. I'll never forget the look of disdain she had for me, so none of what happened today (above) surprised me l. I was a huge bother then and an even bigger bother today because I asked questions instead of paying right away. I've had good work done there before and she seems to be good at her job most of the time, but it appears that her ego (big shot doctor, (eye roll)) is seeping into how they believe that they should treat customers. I went in for dry eyes and she was thorough and had the latest technology with 3d images of my eyes. She got me well taken care of and on my way to fixing my dry eyes. I highly recommend!!
