He allowed me to try various brands of contacts before choosing the ones I preferred, and gave me an ample supply before the ones I chose came in, since they were backordered. There was an error on behalf of the manufacturer, not his office, and they made it right on my behalf. He is very knowledgeable. I'm not saying other optometrists are not knowledgeable, he just has a way of "teaching" and without assuming you understand everything. He speaks in layman's terms, and always makes you feel encouraged to ask questions. His staff is second-to-none, very thorough, polite and professional. Highly recommend!!

He bought 2 pairs of glasses but one pair didn't seem the same. He tried to tell them something was not right but they said both were exactly the same. Fast forward He went to a new optometrist this year and took both pairs to have just the lenses updated; he was told the prescription were not the same. The eye exam performed by the new optometrist was more detailed and they actually did an in depth exam on his bifocals. He said myeyedr was not that thorough. Now that he can compare he says his new lenses and contacts are so much better than when he got new glasses and contacts from myeyedr. Myeyedr is also more expensive and they just weren't very attentive to my husband.

Top reasons Dr. McLean & her office is my favorite: -Easy to schedule appointments online. The receptionist emails you to confirm and is flexible if you need to reschedule if conflicts arise (not like I know from experience, or anything...) -My wait time is almost nonexistent. I checked in, signed a consent form and hadn't even sat down and Dr. McLean whisked me away for my eye exam. -Dr. McLean is so kind, but more importantly, knows her stuff. She performs the most thorough and efficient eye exam I've ever had. We're talking in and out in 35 minutes on my lunch break. She makes sure to ask if you have any questions or concerns you want to talk about. Her soothing voice helps me concentrate on keeping my peepers open when she's shining a bright light in them. -The receptionist noticed my sunglasses were stretched out from wearing them on top of my head (apparently a bad habit) and offered to tighten them for me while I was checking out. Customer service at its finest! -Tucked away behind Carmel Arts & Design District with private parking lot (5-7 spaces)
