Doctor Frishman is very personable, but the business as a whole has major flaws. I was originally scheduled for early Fall, but the office rescheduled me TWICE because they hadn't checked my insurance properly (once for the coverage of glasses, once for the visit itself). I wasn't actually seen until December. I had my exam, and the only mention of bifocals was Dr. Frishman asking me if I'd ever had them. No mention that I actually NEEDED them. I am very near sighted. I went to order glasses, and was told my insurance barely covered my prescription. I've never had that issue and my prescription hasn't changed much. They were nice enough to offer a discount that took the total down to a little over $300. When I got the glasses, it took me a while for my eyes to adjust. They caused such bad dizziness that I only wear them for driving. Even then, I have to squint to read my dashboard. I can't see anything up close with them, unlike my old glasses where far away vision is a little blurry, but close up vision is ok. I brought the glasses back to have the ear pieces adjusted and ask them if I needed bifocals (I've never needed them before) to fix the issue, but was told I'd have to pay a SEPARATE TEST FEE FOR THIS. NO ONE told me this on my original visit. So, yeah. My glasses I paid out of pocket for are next to useless. I don't know what they did with these and the office has no intention of figuring it out. I've NEVER had this issue before, and I've been getting updated prescriptions every 2 years since I was 12 years old! To add insult to injury, we received an invoice in the mail for an extra $80. No time spent everyone is in a hurry it's like Walmart. I asked to have contacts that where not expensive and they prescribed the most expensive ones they carry. $1000.00 a year to by contacts and when I asked to not have something so expensive they told me I have to have a drs appt for 100.00 to have the script changed. I purchased an $800 pair of Skaga frames and lenses. When I went to pick the glasses up they had the wrong prescription in them. I requested that the glasses be returned and the prescription be corrected. The sales lady then attacked me by saying "you don't know how to wear glasses" and "you will get used to wearing them", etc. She never bothered to test the lense to make sure the correct one was installed. Then when I contacted my insurance company about the issue I found out that they had never received a claim from MyEyeDr. I immediately contacted my credit card company to contest the $252.00 charge I had paid for these useless frames. If I could put 0 stars I would. I arrived at 4:15 PM for a 4:30 appointment. Was not asked back until right at 4:30. The lady that did my initial exam seemed upset that she wasn't able to go home at the time. She wanted because I was there for an exam that I had made an appointment for the doctor was less than friendly. I ordered my glasses. They said they would be there in 2 weeks. 2 weeks came and went by the third week. I called in on a Wednesday. Twice and once on a Friday, both times I was on. Hold for 10 minutes and then disconnected. I called in today which is December 26th I was on hold for 5 minutes and then hung up on again once I was finally able to get ahold of someone. They said that my glasses would be in after the New Year. Probably around the fourth but I was never informed that there would be a delay. And it seemed as though no one cared to tell me. I think these people's priority is more getting that money in from the people in the store. And then once they have it forgetting that you are a customer that can't see and that needs their glasses desperately. They have no consideration for your situation. Went to get my glasses warranted, had to go to the store to get checked out, got them back 2 weeks later, they brake my glasses, give me a different style of glasses, called them back when i noticed that it wasn't the same style and the transitions was not on. called back wanted me to drive back another 30 min to check glasses. called corporate, they where suppose to take care of it and didn't. 3rd time having issues with My Eye Dr. read more

I hated this, they took way to long to do every thing and dident even know what they were doing I also saw a lot of getto people walking and cause commotion. I went here because my insurance (Tricare) is accepted here. I had an average wait time to see the doctor. The office is clean, and staff is professional and friendly. The doctor was great. He explained everything clearly and answered all my questions. I wear glasses and contacts. I had my new glasses and contacts a week after ordering. Pricing is about average for an eye exam. They have glasses at all different price ranges which is great if you don't wear them often so cheap worked just fine for me. I will definitely be going back for my yearly exam. read more

I went there today. I needed new glasses and I was interested in getting my contact prescription so I could order some later. I don't use them very often and I figured they had my prescription from last year. My first complaint is the $75 contact fitting fee that isn't covered by insurance. Not one person mentioned this to me until after I was handed a contact to "try". I would have forgone contacts had I known in advance. My second issue is with the buying process. It was like buying a car! I couldn't get a straight answer from the very nice salesman as to "how much more is this frame" over insurance. In addition, there are several add ons. I planned on getting bifocals but the progressive lense was an additional $80, so I ordered single vision. Anti glare would be an additional $40, a photo of my retina was $15, and the warranty which was not optional was $22. It used to be that insurance pretty much covered getting an exam and a basic pair of glasses. That's not the case here, my glasses cost me $135, $45 of that is on me for wanting particular frames. My 6 month supply of contacts and the "fitting" fee ran another $150. My wife wanted anti glare and progressive bifocals, she chose frames covered by insurance her out of pocket was $150. The buying process is not transparent to the customer. The folks in there were nice, but if you choose to go there, know what you are getting into. I will find a more straightforward way get my glasses in the future. read more

I was amazed that this office is still opened. Went in for a medical eval for an eye problem I was having and gave me a prescription for drops for red eyes and did nothing else except asking for a $45 fee. After complaining was seen by the owner who looked in my eye to find nothing. I then went to Rose Nevin Woods who immediately diagnosed the issue. Good thing!!! could have went blind! They take my insurance and were able to get me in last minute before the end of the year (needed to use up my flex benefits!!) They were very nice, busy but the wait was reasonable. Have been wearing contact lens since early high school and everything about the exam and visit was standard. Will probably keep going here. read more
