Barbecue chicken, which was frozen in the center
    Jackie O.

Well, I will say the music is great. The ambience is great. You have great live music which the singer is so amazing. He knows most of the cover songs that he goes over which are from the 80s but definitely still pretty cool however, I ordered BBQ half chicken, rice and vegetable and when I got to the center of the chicken, it was frozen to my horror . I just simply told the server to remove that meal off my bill pay for the remaining food and drinks and exit stage left.

Next time, though, might try the grouper, which is a fillet without the bones.

This is a very touristy spot on the main road. The menu is bar food and a variety of entrees that are higher quality. They're known for the painkillers where you pick how much pain you are in to determine the amount of alcohol. The calamari was average but the fried jalapeños were good. The coconut shrimp were very good and I picked the vegetables and rice as my side. Overall, it was a pretty good dish and a large portion. The staff is friendly and the food arrived in a timely matter. They also have a large gift shop in the back. FYI: the address isn't right on Yelp for this. It's right across from the ferry port.

It was our favorite local food experience of our entire Caribbean cruise (not including Puerto…read moreRico). It's the original Pusser's British pub on Waterfront Drive in Road Town. The name is a slang for a British Navy officer known as a "Purser". One of the Pusser's daily tasks was to supply rum (a special Admiralty blend or "tot") to the sailors aboard the ship. The original recipe was somehow passed to the founder (Charles Tobias) in 1979. It still remains to be the closest to the original Naval recipe to date. Another fun fact is that this rum is actually a product of Guyana. Port Mourant double wooden pot stills are used to distill it. Most people will say that rum is rum. But hey, I can only tell you that there was definitely something special in that famous Pusser's Pain Killer. My husband even said it was the best rum drink he has ever had. Take that for what it's worth because we really don't drink that much. Ha! Jem was our bartender, and she was absolutely fantastic! So upbeat, warm, and friendly. She's everything that you'd want in a bartender. She explained the Pusser's Pain Killer numbering system. I was sold on the well-balanced No. 3. My husband went with the No. 4. I've had Pain Killers numerous times in my life. This was the best EVER! I don't know if it was the rum or the fresh grated nutmeg. Maybe it was the cream of coconut. I don't know, but I would have had a second one had we not had to walk back to the ship. If that's not enough to tempt you, then you must try their Conch Fritters. It has so much conch in it. More than any I've ever had. They are delicious! The firecracker dipping sauce made it even more special. The Bang! Bang! Gulf Shrimp were also pretty awesome. The batter was so much lighter than it looks in pictures. All in all, a great food and drink experience. We liked it so much that we decided to buy a couple of t-shirts in their branded clothing store. All 100% cotton! So comfy! We can't wait to return. We'll be back again in December if all goes well. It's such a great find within walking distance from the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier.

Sorry, no pictures.... it had fresh basil pesto and the tomato sauce drizzled around it, cheese was melted into the crust with riccata spread around. Fantastic thin crispy crust. I'm an open-minded eater who travels a lot and will happily try almost anything--but even I met my match here. I ordered the jerk chicken plate with slaw and mac n cheese. The chicken was dry, but honestly the best part of the meal, which is saying something. The mac n cheese looked and tasted like it had been abandoned hours (or days?) ago--curdled, cold, and topped with a crust that could double as a roofing material. The slaw? One bite was all I could manage - a first in my 35 years on earth. A friend described it as "looks like slaw, tastes like a plastic bag," and I wish I could disagree. My partner's chicken salad sandwich didn't fare better. The bun was burned so black it looked like it had been broiled by the Caribbean sun itself, and the chicken salad had a sour tang that overpowered everything else. My friends shared the brisket plate; the brisket was good (truly!), but the sides were a continuation of the theme: barely edible at best. We ended up at a grocery store afterward, scavenging crackers and cookies to survive the night--never a great sign after paying Virgin Island prices for dinner. For what it's worth, the restaurant next door, Surf Club Cantina, was excellent. Do yourself a favor: eat there, and steer clear of Johnny Lime.

The drinks are a little pricier, but taking into account you're in the middle of a national park with not much around, the prices make sense. Drinks absolutely delicious - we loved the pina colada! They have plenty of seating, so you can either stay and enjoy or take your drinks back to the beach across the street. I'm not sure if they're related or not, but there is a little food shop little right next to it with the same available seating. As with the drinks, food there is a little pricier but take into account where you are. We ordered the mahi bites. Absolutely delicious. Fish was solid enough to pick up but flaked apart in your mouth. Would totally order again. Great place to stop when you're enjoying the beach at Maho Bay.

When I returned them, he ran the tab on my credit card and said the total was $49.20, which was $8 more than it should have been. I asked him why it was so high and he said sales tax. I told him I didn't think sales tax was charged on St. John and he said it was charged everywhere in the Virgin Islands. Very suspicious, I left and waited for the receipt to come through text. The receipt showed that the $8 was a tip that Desitin had added without my knowledge. I went back and comfronted him and told him I know what he did and I don't appreciate it and I would be letting managagement know, then walked away. He chased me down and handed me $10 and said he wanted to "makes things right", but then proceeded to gaslight me into thinking this was all my fault. He said I should be grateful that he didn't double charge me on the rental. What??? I have tried to contact management, but I guess they don't want anyone to send complaints. The two phone numbers I found and one email address are total dead ends.
