Foxy vibes

Large group for the Beach BBQ on a Friday night. $40 bought you a huge plate, one trip only to the buffet, but quite a selection; grilled mahi, BBQ ribs and chicken, Caesar salad, corn on the cob, pasta salad, spinach rice, steamed veggies, fruit and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Everyone here is happy and having a good time. Definitely a happening place on the "quieter" part of Jost Van Dyke. Cool gift shop too!

I have been to Jost Van Dyke many times and I have always wanted to try Foxy's! What a fun place. Great place to hang out with friends on a warm Caribbean afternoon or evening. The pain killers were great. The jerk chicken and fries were really good! It's famous for their Friday night bbq and New Year's Eve party! It is a great place. I tip my hat to Foxy and his staff. Will be back! FYI... make sure you make it back to your boat!

Look up, it's everyone's stuff from years of traveling through

What can I say, our ship stopped here so we had to "check" it out. Looks like many have left a piece of this or a piece of that behind...... Signed Money, T-shirt's, license plates and sports memorabilia. Foxy's is known for the pain killers that serve (drink). Rum & nutmeg & ??? I think they were pretty good On to the next, maybe "Soggy Dollar"

Quintessential bar in BVI. Must see harbor town on Jost Van Dyke - stroll along the beach and stop in at one of the other local bars as well. Would be great for a mid-day drink and appetizers. Probably better places for dinner. "Catch of the Day" - most likely not caught that day off "Foxy's boat." Eddy the taxi driver is 5-star and takes great photos. Ask for him at the bar, if you need a ride to another harbor.

Rudest staff ever encountered. Food was barely adequate and not worth the price or big bites.

Overpriced and underwhelming. I am a return customer but so disappointed this time around. The surcharge is ridiculous.

This place was the best! We took a sailboat from St. John island to Foxys and the view and Bushwackers will be remembered forever!

Stopped in twice while staying on island last time. Once for a drink, and once for the BBQ evening. Never disappointing!

Great service. Great view. Well attended restaurant and a pleasure to meet the owner/chef…read more Definitely make it a special night dinner while here. It's one of the many pricey restaurants in St. John but one of the few worth the cost. Make reservations if you want a beach view table, but the view from everywhere is great. I think many nights you can also walk in and grab a seat at the bar if you make a game time decision.

Perfect spot for a date night while on the island! I really enjoyed the decor and the layout of La…read moreTapa Plage. You walk into a nook and boom, you're on the water. You can see the boats and island lights at night. They also played great Latin music, of all kinds. The service was amazing. We had a young guy who was a local. He loved living on the island and shared some facts. My husband and I enjoyed the muscles to start. They had a very nice lemon white wine sauce and the serving was just enough. We were left wanting more to be honest, it was very good! Next we had the paella. I liked this paella, I did, BUT, it was not flavored as an authentic Spanish paella. I was disappointed about that, but I still enjoyed the dish. It was a bit spicy, more like scratchy lol, but had lots of seafood and the rice was cooked perfectly (imo). My husband finished with a unique vanilla azafran dessert. I guess they used the azafran in the sorbet and not the paella . I did not like this ice cream. It tasted like soap to me lol. My husband really enjoyed it. Overall this was a great choice for date night and we didn't feel like we were caught in a tourist trap, so win win for us!

So we really enjoyed our experience at High Tide, but to be clear, it's a beach bar restaurant. It…read moresits on the bay next to the ferry crossing, so to say it's ocean-side viewing is generous but accurate. Parking was difficult, and we surrendered to Slim Man parking for $20. The spacious dining area with a great happy hour and dinner menu comes out at 5:00. We got there for the lunch menu and were glad we did because we got sandwiches which were great. Candidly, nothing on the dinner menu blew our minds. The tuna sandwich with wasabi and arugula was fantastic, and the tuna was prepared perfectly! We also got shrimp tacos that were better than the sandwich for what it's worth. Our server, who didn't give us her name, was sweet and attentive and even brought a cask of water without us asking. At the end of the day, High Tide delivered as advertised. Three last thoughts if you've read this far: Park at the MVD and walk; it's not that far and free. Get the Key Lime Pie; it was outstanding but pretty typical of the area. Lastly, stop at the merch store and grab a t-shirt, which are some of the best I've seen so far!

Came here late one night to get some dinner. We were sat right along the water and had an amazing…read moreview! I can see how coming here at sunset would be amazing. As for the food m, I thought it was okay. I ordered the chicken curry off of the chef specials menu and I wasn't blown away by it or anything. The rice and broccoli sides were plain, the chicken was cooked fine, and the sauce was good, but not amazingly flavorful like other curries I had had in the past. And for this being a chef special, I just want super impressed. The waitress we had was super kind though, and our food came out quick which was much appreciated. Again, the view is amazing and they have a decent menu listing. While this place is great for a cocktail, sunset, and "little something for everyone" vibes, personally I think there is something left to be desired.
