What an amazing experience! This is a floating taco bar in the middle of the bay. You sit at these floating devices or at the "bar" in the water. Tacos are pricey but totally worth it for the flavor and experience. We had such a fun time, the service is great as well. You have to take a boat out but they have a boat shuttle you can pay to go out there. Overall you have to do this if you are in St. John.

What a great idea! Swimming up to Lime Out, I didn't know what to expect. The experience was phenomenal! I had two tacos (short rib), two specialty drinks and a memory to last a lifetime. Our server Kara was fantastic. So friendly and fun. If you have a chance to go, don't miss it!!

Amazing TACOS, cocktails and souvenirs! Captain Colleen & PupPup.

Nothing but wonderful! The experience, the service, the drinks and the tacos...oh so good! Thx to a previous review, we called Captain Colleen and PupPup and that's was a great decision. She pulled her dingy right up to the raft. Give her a call at 340-201-7284.

This place one of the coolest places I've been to. Having tacos in a floating "lily pad" this is unforgettable. The fish are right beneath you. Food is given to you on a floating lily pad I guess that's what you can call it. They had merchandise for sale as well. Went snorkeling and stopped here to have lunch and went back to the catamaran called Frenchman's Reef to keep snorkeling.

Such a vibe! Highly recommend adventuring to this floating taco bar! Food is incredible, good with allergies, drinks are fab and staff are friendly. We took captain Johnnycakes dingy out and were dropped right on a lily pad (easier for my 70's folks versus pulling themselves up). A must when in St John

Best tacos on water! But really, great quality fresh tacos can't be beat! Merch is a bit overpriced for quality (tee brands are basic) but it's such a unique experience boating to a taco truck and floating while eating. Floats can get packed with groups visiting from large Cats

Wow! If you get the opportunity to get here on a boat, DO IT! A very unique and fun experience. Service was on point the tacos were very flavorful and freshly made. Their ingredients are top notch. I highly recommend the surf and turf, shrimp and ceviche tacos. We went with a large group and the waitress handled it to perfection. Highly recommend this place. Helpful tips: 1. Make sure you arrive around 10:30am, they open at 11 and ppl get desperate because they want to sit on the floats. 2. Bring a water safe pouch since you'll have to swim up to the restaurant. 3. They will put a hold on your credit card for 100$ until you return the tumblers.

    What a great concept!

The tacos are delicious and they have items you can buy that are great souvenirs. I had a punch drink that was pretty damn tasty! I purchased a thermos to take home and they put my drink in there which kept it pretty cold.

I'm an open-minded eater who travels a lot and will happily try almost anything--but even I met my match here. I ordered the jerk chicken plate with slaw and mac n cheese. The chicken was dry, but honestly the best part of the meal, which is saying something. The mac n cheese looked and tasted like it had been abandoned hours (or days?) ago--curdled, cold, and topped with a crust that could double as a roofing material. The slaw? One bite was all I could manage - a first in my 35 years on earth. A friend described it as "looks like slaw, tastes like a plastic bag," and I wish I could disagree. My partner's chicken salad sandwich didn't fare better. The bun was burned so black it looked like it had been broiled by the Caribbean sun itself, and the chicken salad had a sour tang that overpowered everything else. My friends shared the brisket plate; the brisket was good (truly!), but the sides were a continuation of the theme: barely edible at best. We ended up at a grocery store afterward, scavenging crackers and cookies to survive the night--never a great sign after paying Virgin Island prices for dinner. For what it's worth, the restaurant next door, Surf Club Cantina, was excellent. Do yourself a favor: eat there, and steer clear of Johnny Lime.

We made a reservation, but honestly it didn't seem totally necessary when we went. From the moment we sat down, the staff was on top of everything and so friendly. You could tell they really care about the experience, and everything flowed perfectly without feeling rushed. For drinks, we ordered the Vessup and the Carib and both were so good. The Vessup especially stood out, the cream on top was so smooth and delicious and just made the whole drink. They brought out fresh bread to start and it was so good (always a win in my book). For dinner, we went with the lobster with potato and broccolini and it was incredible. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were just on point. Between the food, drinks, atmosphere, and service, this was easily one of our favorite dinners on the trip. Definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're looking for something a little nicer but still with that island feel.

The menu is big. It's local. They sell out as the night goes on. All of the servers do not speak English really well. But, honestly, if you have a question that can't be answered, there's someone around you can talk to. We ordered sautéed fish and the stewed chicken. Each entree comes with three sides - my favorites were the plantains, red beans, and Cole slaw. Rice was also good. The cook was also grilling pork that smelled AMAZING and when I asked my server if I could have whatever he was making, she literally snuck me over a side plate of smoked and grilled pork. So freaking good. This is not your typical Cruz bay restaurant. This is local. It's delicious. There is live music. Appreciate what you are getting.
