Fried chicken, Mac and cheese, corn bread and Yukon fries

Local Bbq place on St. John on the other side of the island. Amazing water view and great service. You order up front and then pick a table and they bring the food out to you. This bbq is not traditional but the fried chicken and Mac and cheese were great. Cool local spot!

Looking for local barbecue on St John? Look no further. Go to Johnny Lime. Beef brisket is fork tender. Pulled pork was tady and tender. Highly recommend the guava BBQ sauce. Hot BBQ sauce was tasty, but quite hot -- a little goes a long way. :) Mahi was good (7/10). Recommended sides: yucca, sweet potato, squash, rice and beans.

    Great food, great outdoor dining

So good we went twice... Whoever's cooking here is serving up really tasty, creative options. The beef ribs were just okay (not what expected, a little dry and cut off the bone), but the brisket is a standout, super tender, and just the right amount of smoke. And these inventive sides are awesome: --The Potato Salad with red bliss potatoes, red onion, celery, scallions, coconut jerk dressing --Rice and Beans, Jasmine rice covered with Great Northern beans cooked with coconut and smoked jerk squash --Baby Bok Choy seasoned with their beef rub and seared on the flat top --Pickled Vegetables, cauliflower, carrots, celery, and daikon, pickled in house --and don't miss their amazing cornbread Great outdoor dining. (note they're closed on Thursdays)

Great stop to/from Salt Pond Bay! Great option for more local cuisine and great ambiance with water views

yummy Caribbean barbecue and sides. The sauces were fantastic too. Ample outdoor seating. everyone recommends the brisket but we opted for mahi mahi on our last night with red potatoes/slaw and red potatoes/bok choy. Had to get the cornbread. Wish we were here on a Wednesday for trivia night.

    BBQ and island food

If you can get over to the east side of St. John, don't miss Johnny Lime. Great outdoor fun area to play games and soak up the sun with a view of Coral Bay. The BBQ is outstanding, smoked variety from pork, brisket, chicken but the mahi was the best I have ever had. Drinks were yummy too. Staff was super-friendly and food came out quick. We were so glad we discovered this island gem.

High quality, wholesome, BBQ with a few vegetarian options. The latter options were the Mac and Cheese, Smoked Butternut Squash, Salad, and Rice and Beans - each well portioned and priced. The smoked meats were just out of this world. The brisket moist and tender, the chicken well flavored. It's a street-side joint with outdoor seating - with sufficient cover to find a shaded spot. Service was friendly and prompt. Overall, A+!

We got a bunch of different tacos to try, but I would say the two short ribs were definitely my favorites (although they were all good and I would happily eat again). The tacos were large so we were able to do two per person as a meal and felt pretty good. They are pricy by way of tacos, but it is well worth it for the experience and the flavor of the food. We took a charter out to the restaurant which I recommend doing, and shared a lily pad with another family (they are first come first served). Our waitress Erica was very attentive and helped us with everything we needed! Definitely a must visit if you are in St. John. Everyone loves this place and now I can see why!

We made a reservation, but honestly it didn't seem totally necessary when we went. From the moment we sat down, the staff was on top of everything and so friendly. You could tell they really care about the experience, and everything flowed perfectly without feeling rushed. For drinks, we ordered the Vessup and the Carib and both were so good. The Vessup especially stood out, the cream on top was so smooth and delicious and just made the whole drink. They brought out fresh bread to start and it was so good (always a win in my book). For dinner, we went with the lobster with potato and broccolini and it was incredible. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors were just on point. Between the food, drinks, atmosphere, and service, this was easily one of our favorite dinners on the trip. Definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're looking for something a little nicer but still with that island feel.

The menu is big. It's local. They sell out as the night goes on. All of the servers do not speak English really well. But, honestly, if you have a question that can't be answered, there's someone around you can talk to. We ordered sautéed fish and the stewed chicken. Each entree comes with three sides - my favorites were the plantains, red beans, and Cole slaw. Rice was also good. The cook was also grilling pork that smelled AMAZING and when I asked my server if I could have whatever he was making, she literally snuck me over a side plate of smoked and grilled pork. So freaking good. This is not your typical Cruz bay restaurant. This is local. It's delicious. There is live music. Appreciate what you are getting.
